It honestly looks sweet (not trolling).
But I want the media to be honest and let us know if the online servers will be rubbish like they were with Gears of War 2. Journalists were certainly willing to call out SOCOM's crappy servers, so we all know they are capable of reporting the truth...
Not that I support the Taliban or political terrorists in any way, shape, or form...
...but people are fine playing as gangbangers, drug-dealers, and murderers (who really do kill innocent people and destroy lives) in the GTA series. If you're going to take the moral highroad, take it in all respects.
When I saw the title, I thought first of MS.
Only they could take the Eyetoy, improve it (slightly), and market it as the next biggest thing. And it's only Microsoft that the media would believe in this sort of thing. If Kinect was coming to the PS3 and the Move was coming to 360, you can bet the media would actually start talking about the things that matter: software support, accuracy, etc., instead of blindly drooling over Dance Dance Revolution: Camera Edition and say...
If lies grind your gears, how can you in good conscience own anything at all with the Microsoft label on it?
Microsoft has lied about ten times as many things as Sony/Nintendo combined this generation, and they continue to get away with it.
Good thing I stopped caring about CoD after the first Modern Warfare.
The only way in which it will be a game-changer is how it has changed Microsoft's focus away from the hardcore gamer.
I'd love it for someone to prove me wrong, but sadly day by day Microsoft themselves keep proving me right with their continued focus on everything Kinect.
How much came from their gaming division?
Because while Microsoft itself may be making money, reports over the past 12+ months keep returning back with the same story: the Xbox brand is bleeding money. Why else did they close studios and let lose studio partners? For the fun of it?
Thank you for listening to your fans, Sucker Punch. We appreciate it and will show our support by buying your game!
Peter Molyneux: "Uncharted 2. Wow!"
As in "Wow! So THIS is what a video game looks like when you not only deliver on your promises, but you surpass them".
Obviously, it's something he has never personally experienced.
The fact that there has to be an "argument for Kinect" shows that it really is worthless.
Casuals may or may not like it, but I'm not a casual gamer, Kinect is obviously not for me, and Microsoft's focus on Kinect shows that they don't care about hardcore gamers. For gamers to defend it really shows their blind fanboyism.
I never saw such devotion from gamers to a product that was not aimed at them. Just the opposite in fact: when the Ni...
I hope the Move does well.
From a purely objective standpoint (based on tech demos, hands-on experience, etc), it is clear that Move is the most accurate motion-based controller on the console market. It can do more than the Wiimote, and it can certainly do more than Kinect.
And it is being supported by core 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party studios, so when Move launches I can play real games, not yet another motion-based bowling game.
And if Conviction is coming to Mac, it's only a matter of time before the enhanced edition with extra content comes to the...
Does the 360 have any REAL exclusives anymore? As in, a game that is only playable on your platform (that's what exclusive means, by the way).
Some games are already like books. Anyone ever played an RPG before? There is a ton of text and side-plot.
Me want!
That way, I can keep it sealed for 12 months and sell it at double the price to rabid Halo fans.
I guess. A hardcore gamer tends to play a lot of games online, so I think they would (for example) only need one controller for Move or for the Wii. On the other hand, a family would want a Move controller for every person, so that could be three extra controllers.
However, what the article doesn't mention is that Kinect is cheaper because it is a fixed item. You will never need more than one Kinect, but as a consequence you will never have games for more than 2 players a...
Y'know, I don't want Move support for EVERY game, and I'm not even impressed by half of the games shown off for Move (Socercy? Not my thing.)
However, the other half of Move looks SIIIIICK. This thing is actually doing NEW stuff, not simply re-packaging motion controls or taking away a controller. I can't wait to use Move to make custom levels in LBP2...it'll take half the time.
The best thing about 2010 so far is...
...that I'm still catching up on games from 2009. Demon's Souls, Assassin's Creed 2, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, inFamous, DJ Hero, Patapon 2, and more.
The only major console games from 2010 I've given a lot of time to are Heavy Rain, SMG2, and God of War 3. Oh, and I played a ton of Peace Walker, too.
Eliminate Mircosoft? Sure, but Microsoft is pretty much eliminating itself at this point.
Sony, on the other hand? Sorry, but they have the two highest-selling consoles in history, one of which is still selling and still getting new games. They also have a handheld system with nearly 60 million units sold. And the PS3 is going as strong as ever and won't vanish for at least another 5 years.
Which one is more accurate?
Because in the end, I think the thing gamers care about most in the phrase "sports games" is "games", not "sports".
Halo has always been about customization. It's one of its strongest points.
Now, I'm not expecting "Halo Big Planet", but I think if Reach really takes FPS customization to the next level I will eat humble pie and give it a chance.
