"God bye"?
Kinect isn't going to affect the Wii at all. At least the Wii has real games, and at least you can play it sitting up OR standing down without the camera freaking out.
So basically Microsoft is saying that the all-powerful Kinect can't recognize sitting or standing? A game has to be specifically designed to accommodate one or the other?
It's simple: Microsoft has failed to foster and develop 1st parties. Instead, they wave around checks. In the end, they could care less about exclusives or about gamers. If they cared, they would make more exclusives or buy more. It's really that simple.
But instead, Microsoft cares about $$$ and nothing more. I understand that Sony and Nintendo also care about $$$, but at least they're willing to take risks and make investments that might not pay off right away ...
And maybe Fable III will live up to the promises of the first Fable...
I, for one, greatly dislike Molyneux and any other game devs that promise one thing and then completely don't deliver (Bethesda is another example). It's one thing to say it's an idea but then admit that it isn't going to be in the final product. It's another thing entirely to mislead your fans into believing something and then leaving it out of the game without prior warning (using you...
Only if the Kingdom Hearts team makes it.
Otherwise: promise a ton of content, and then cut it. Snip, snip!
SEGA needs to make a handheld system. It would be a lost cause to enter the console market, IMO.
But (correct me if I'm wrong) there was another article on here stating that LIVE costs them 1 billion to maintain. I don't know if that's true or not, but it would mean that they annually only make 0.2 billion (200 million).
"Square Enix president Yoichi Wada feels that..."
I stopped there. I don't care about Wada's opinion in the least.
"Rockstar games ALWAYS get a free pass on this"
Fixed.
This is a great classic, and I would advise anyone who enjoyed this game to also try out the "Paper Mario" series and the "Mario & Luigi" series.
Wait what? Are they going to charge for this DLC, too?
No, it was not one of the best games. Some media outlets simply forgot their previous standpoint of "casual sucks" because there was a Microsoft label slapped onto the game.
Gestures will always lose. Scientifically, it takes more nerve power, more muscle power, and more brain power (and therefore, much more time) to tell your entire arm "wave" than to tell the end of your thumb "push".
So, even if Kinect was perfectly 1:1, it would still lose to a controller. But we all know that Kinect is far from 1:1, so it makes it even worse.
Even the dev teams knows it was a rush job.
Well no duh. That's why every other day Microsoft/Aaron Greenburg would tout how they are dominating Metacritic....
....at least, that's until Sony's games began to dominate Metacritic. Now we're just back to the sales argument.
Motion controls were "just a flash in the pan" according to pundits in 2006 prior to the Wii's launch.
People don't realize that 80% of the popular games/peripherals on consoles are only popular due to massive advertising and support from the parent company.
I love that phrase: one of the best games of 2007.
Lulz.
LBP2, GT5, and Halo Reach.
But early 2010 (God of War, Heavy Rain) was pretty dang good, too.
PS3 doesn't need a price cut. It offers more at that price than any other console, or piece of electronics, for that matter.
If it needed a price cut, why has it been outselling the 360 worldwide?
Answer: people are willing to pay for quality.
EDIT: for people who don't know sales, PS3 has been outselling 360 worldwide. Every year it has outsold the 360. The only reason why "total" numbers are ahead is due to the 360's ...
Because none of those games were all that great?
Just sayin', because a lot of gamers seem to think that sales are a sign of quality...
