With Blu-Ray boasting 50 Gigs of space now (soon 100 Gigs will be standard for games, possibly), I don't see how gamers or developers could shrink a game down so much for a digital download. ISPs are already cracking down on heavy downloaders, and since next gen games are only going to get bigger in terms of how much space they take up, I have a hard time believing devs will force gamers to DL 20-50 gigs of content just for one game.

Well, let's face it:
Nintendo DS has sold over 130 million.
Sony PSP has sold nearly 60 million.
I don't know how much the iPhone/iTouch has sold, but I know that it is in the tens of millions.

Console gaming won't die, but handheld gaming is as strong as ever with no sign of slowing down.

Is it worth $150 to go river-rafting with two players?

$75 a person. That's a steep price for casual games.

All the Metal Gear games are in a league of their own, and they stand the test of time. Enjoy the series! It's a goodie!

When Wii supporters were screaming "Leave the Wii alone!" Chris Crocker style, they got their wish: hardcore devs and hardcore gamers largely left the Wii alone, just as they left the Powerglove, the Eyetoy, and the Eye alone.

If Kinect supporters want the hardcore to "leave Kinect alone!", that's exactly what will happen. There will be no more outcry against Kinect's simplicity and casual focus, and with dollar signs in Microsoft's glossy eyes...

I think if you honestly examine what Kinect offers, it fall shorts in virtually every hardcore genre. Kinect has to make "new" genres or recycle old ones (hit the big red ball and pet games, for example) in order to deliver content.

Uh oh. Sales sales sales. I hope Bioware focuses on quality, not sales. What, multi-million sellers like Mass Effect weren't enough for you, Bioware?

Why would you need Move support? PS3 can fully support mouse/keyboard

Meteos and Hotel Dusk should be on this list. Meteos is my favorite puzzle game of all time and Hotel Dusk has an incredible story.

Oh, and EVERYONE played Elite Beat Agents. Otherwise, a decent list.

X-COM: UFO Defense. Or, Star Control II.

By today's standards, both are still 10/10 games.

Wow. No characters from Metal Gear series = fail.

After Gears 2, I really don't want to play any more Gears. Gears of War 1 was underwhelming enough, and Gears 2 wasn't any better. (OPINION, by the way).

On the other hand, Killzone and KZ: Liberation was so-so, but KZ2 took it to the next level and changed my mind about the franchise. I cannot wait until KZ3.

Gear 2 multiplayer was actually decent, but the straight-up broken servers ruined it.

The media was clever enough to see SOCOM's broken servers, but apparently they just couldn't manage to notice Gears' servers. Hmmm...

The fact that there's DLC so soon after the game is launched is the real issue. Imagine if you bought Super Mario Bros on the NES but you had to input a special code to unlock three of the levels.

It's because gamers want more content, but console devs know they can get away with DLC, because it's not like console owners are going to make custom content (with the exception of games like LBP).

I want three things:

1. Fewer glitches
2. Better storyline and characters I actually care about
3. Add variety to the open world

Um, 16 hours is quite a long time. How long did Modern Warfare take to beat? Gears of War? Killzone 2? Half Life 2?

5664d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

The fact that gamers have played MGS4 multiple times WITHOUT Trophies shows that the game has true replayability. Myself, I've beaten MGS4 6 times (two of those were speedruns).

WoW has brought a renaissance. I don't see why Blizzard can't do it again with Starcraft II.

Here's a great way to fan the flame war, console gamers:

1. Claim PC gaming is dying all the time, without any evidence to support your claim

2. Badmouth high-end PC games like Crysis, and then turn around and jizz your pants when Crysis 2 comes to consoles and all of the sudden you start caring about the franchise

3. Brag about a port of a game (especially RPGs, FPSs, and strategy games) on consoles and act as though they can hold a cand...

If true, that's pretty cool.

But we've all seen the footage for ourselves. I think we know now that the motion tracking is incredibly accurate.
