It can certainly put a fresh coat of inaccurate paint on the same ol' Wii shovelware we've been seeing for the past several years.

Notice how everyone in the industry - for the past 3 years - has been saying "upcoming game will match/exceed this-or-that PS3 exclusive". They did it with MGS4. They did it (and still do it) with Killzone 2. They do it with Uncharted 2. They do with with God of War 3.

You don't see anyone saying this about any Wii or 360 games.

Trophy support for MGS4 plz.

Turn 10 should try a non-racer. No offense to racing fans, but I don't think it takes much development talent to make a racing game. If Turn 10 is all that great, they should try their hands at action-adventure, RPG, a shooter, or something like that.

Of course no single game system will do everything but you seem really negative about a game system that has continually defied expectations and gone beyond the competition.

Relax. It's the summer. I know there aren't a ton of games to keep gamers occupied. Go play some games in your backlog or just find something else to do.

Probably because when you can afford to waste $300 on a touch phone and $100 a month just to use it, you can blow your extra money on prostitutes, too.

Wow. That's cool. /s

So, Microsoft will close several of its studios for consoles/PC, but they open a studio for freakin' cell phones?

Yaaaaaawn.

Halo Reach will sell fine on its own. CoD4 outsold Halo 3 and no one cared. Both franchises kept going. And correct me if I'm wrong, but MW2 outsold ODST, and again no one cared. As long as it doesn't sell as few copies as Alan Wake, Microsoft will continue to support the franchise.

I don't care which outsells which.

All I know is that regardless of sales, Sony is well-known for supporting their fans and their games. Even if a game only sells 750k or 1 million they will support the developer and let them keep making games.

So, whether move outsells Kinect or not isn't the point. The point is that Sony has the balls to make Move a quality product. Microsoft does not have the balls to make Kinect a quality product.

So Activision ADMITS that IW is currently "ashes". Ya gotta stop and think that something must be bad when Activision admits their devs are doing so poorly.

And no, IW can stay crispy. It'll only quicken Activision's demise.

It is clear from every angle - Microsoft, Microsoft's devs, 360 fans, and journalists - that Kinect is everything hardcore gamers AREN'T looking for. Lag, inaccuracy, and a slew of casual titles. Yeaaaaah. Good luck with that. I'm glad Fable III doesn't support it. I hope Kinect goes the way of the PowerGlove.

So suddenly graphics matter?

Console nerds...when Crysis came out you were laughing and saying "Hah! Yeah, it has the graphics but teh gameplay suxxx!"

Now that it's coming to your precious systems, Crysis is the bees knees?

Oh, and let's not forget that the current KZ3 footage out there is pre-Alpha. Durrrr. Be logical.

I have not liked Halo since Combat Evolved. I was a big fan of the game and was disappointed with the direction Bungie took the series.

However, I must say that Reach may change my mind. The game looks sick.

Kotaku's articles are about as accurate and relevant as VGChartz sales numbers.

Eh, insomniac =/= Bungie.

Insomniac = Turn 10 or Rare (in terms of importance).

M$ losing Bungie would be on par with Sony losing Santa Monica, Naughty Dog, or Polyphony Digital. And yet the gaming media yawns and acts like it isn't a big deal.

WAKE UP CALL: the 360's bread-and-butter developer is now multiplat.

Kotaku is a joke of a website. Why anyone follows their articles is beyond me...

Oh, they regularly slam the PS3. Goooooot it. It's all making sense now.

Thankfully THQ hasn't made a decent console game in quite a while, so I'm not worried.

5695d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

You, sir, are correct.

The only platform losing exclusives and lacking exclusives is the 360. For all the naysaying, the PS3 hasn't lost a single major exclusive this gen.** In other words, there isn't a single PS3 game that first came out as an exclusive on the PS3 but later went to the 360. Show me ONE!

On the other hand, the 360 has had nearly every major exclusive game and franchise and developer go multiplat:
