They should deliver on the original vision of Alan Wake. 'Nuff said.

I think Assassins's Creed 1 or 2 belongs on that list.

They are both top-selling games that kinda kicked the open-world genre in the balls.

Yes. Of course this will "Set the industry on fire again"

Because there has never been a camera-based dancing game ever before, amirite?

Achieving GTA4's graphics is not an accomplishment. In fact, "matching" the graphics is more like something to be shameful about.

Hmmm. A Gamesthirst article, flaming the Sony brand? Why, I've never heard of such a thing.

Report: Half of Modern Warfare players are Halo 3 defects. SEE WUT I DID THAR???

In my eyes, the true "Kinect" experience would be to integrate the motion and voice-recognition seamlessly into the game so that you can go grab a drink from the fridge while still running across the landscape in Fallout 3. "Xbox: autorun". And then you just walk away. THAT would be a gaming revolution, but sadly Kinect will only manage to make less accurate (if that was even possible) Wii shovelware clones.

Popular =/= quality.

I think anyone with a brain can admit that.

PSP is great, especially if you hack it to put all of those NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, GBA, NeoGeo, etc emulators on it.

Oh, and Half Minute Hero on PSP is 100% pure retro RPG goodness.

The first one promised a lot (even promising to blow our jedi robes off, so to speak) but it delivered on very little.

So, in the case of the sequel: I'll believe it when I see it.

Oh Molyneux.

Why is he still allowed to speak?

I think the author's statements have a great point, but they apply to gaming media as a whole, not just Limbo. I felt the exact same way about Flower, Braid, and many of the other "emotional/artsy/trying-t o-make-a-statement" downloadable titles out there.

Just because it's artsy doesn't mean it will blow my mind or make me weep. I can enjoy an artsy game without being told by the media that it will reawaken my dormant soul or something silly like that. ...

This article seems to be jumping the gun.

HOWEVER, I would not be the least bit surprised if the complaints the author has end up being true. The media is currently trying its hardest to completely ignore LBP2.

A typical dualshockers article:

"I’m not sure how things are on the PSN side of things, but rumors are swirling that Modern Warfare 2 players on PSN don’t even talk. =P"

Professional gaming journalism at its finest.

Oh, and the fact that not everyone on PSN talks is WHY I play PSN. =P

I will try Halo Reach, but there are too many non-shooters that will take up my time this year.

On topic, since when did Activision do betas? I thought their games were perfect?

5654d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

There is one big flaw with this article:

Activision isn't some passive entity. They (and the media) actively push their games at us as the biggest, best games EVARRR. I think if I didn't constantly hear "Call of Duty is the BESSSSST" all the time (when it is clearly not the "BESSSST") I would cut Activision more slack.

WHOA. Assassin's Creed 1 was a bit stale, but AC2 completely blew the first one out of the water, and I expect AC Brotherhood to up the ante once again. I guess it depends on what you mean by "stale", because (other than inFamous...kinda) there are no other open-world games or action games like AC on the market right now.

If any series is stale, it's Call of Duty.

Microsoft needs to market Kinect at non-gamers, because gamers (even 360 supporters) already admit that Kinect isn't aimed at them.

5654d ago 5 agree3 disagreeView comment

Yeah... Resistance 1 and 2 both has over 60 AI enemies on screen and open-ended levels, but of course that didn't matter back then. It only matters when Halo does it.

@ hellraiser

"They can pull of more advanced maneuvers like flanking and ambushing. It's more in line with Uncharted2's or Crysis' AI"

...or like Killzone 2?

Again, it only matters when Halo does it, apparently.

Even if Create (somehow) manages to match LittleBigPlanet, I think people forget that LBP2 is coming out in just a few months.
