I agree that this interview was pretty much worthless. The interviewer basically gave Greenburg an open mic to spew some PR and that's it. Where are the questions about the 360's life? It has a "very long life ahead"? Really? Why did Microsoft only start saying that AFTER Sony announced their 10-year plan for the PS3? They gained a lead over Sony in Europe? Really? Why did it take so long when Microsoft had a 1-year headstart in that region?
Of course, NO ONE likes to p...
I was never really a fan of 1up. Their excuse for their blatant favoritism for the 360 has always been "I prefer the controller" or "That's where all my friends play". I expect to hear that from a gamer, sure, and I have no problem with it, but for a so-called 'journalist' to use that as their excuse....pathetic.
Prediction: the most hits this new site gets for the entire year is when they score Killzone 2 less than 8/10.
PSP is doing surprisingly well. What has come out recently for it in Japan? I can't think of anything...yet it still sells.
You say that as if it's a bad thing. Mods are awesome. You're obviously a console-only gamer if you think otherwise.
Poor Microsoft. Unfortunately, business in the year 2009 is a bit different than business in 1985. You can't just copy and steal from you competitors to get ahead anymore. There's something called "innovation".
First it was Windows Vista. Now the Zune. I wonder when the 360 is going to get the same treatment?
(anticipates blind flurry of disagrees from blind fanboys)
I wouldn't go as far you say that PC gaming is better than console gaming (or that console gaming is better than PC gaming).
Still, it is pretty sweet when independent mods can improve a game. That has always been a strength of PC games. Console games such as Little Big Planet are starting to make this a possibility for console owners.
If SO4 ends up being like all of S-E's other "masterpieces" on the 360, they are officially done in my book. I'll look elsewhere for my RPG fix.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't one of those things you can give to someone simply by having them read a logical article. I believe the definition of "prejudice" is hating something without any logical reason...PS3 haters ran out of reasons long ago, and yet they still hate.
This is a pro-PS3 article. Watch it get reported and denied approval.
I agree with the bit about FF7. FF7 -- while a decent RPG -- is by no means the best. Anyone who truly believes that FF7 is the best RPG is either:
1) Lying
2) Never played more than one or two RPGs
3) Blinded by nostalgia because FF7 was one of the first RPGs they ever played
I hope this update will expand L4D from being a mere tech demo of "The Director" to being a fully-fledged game.
Loved L4D. Hated the pathetic amount of content.
@ LightningPS3's comment:
"The problem with PS3 has always been that it's charging people a lot more for a multi media device, when all gamers want is a gaming console."
Hah. That's a laugh. The Wii is arguably the only pure gaming console, or am I the only one who remembers the failed HD-DVD add-on for the 360? Am I the only one who remembers Microsoft's claim that "digital downloads are the future" when Blu Ray won the format war? Am I the only ...
The sales say it all? You mean the fact that in the first two years of the PS3's life (with the highest price point and most competition) it sold more than the 360's first two years (with one full year of no competition)?
Are those the sales you're talking about? If that's the case, I agree. The sales say it all: the PS3 is far from dead.
And no, 360 fanboys didn't rig NPD sales reports. 360 fanboys simply forgot that NPD sales don't equal worldwide sales, that's al...
History has shown that the so-called "Hardcore Nintendo fanbase" on the Wii would rather complain and complain about a lack of hardcore games all while ignoring several games staring them in the face.
They complain about a lack of FPS games yet they ignore Metroid Prime 3. Heck, they complain about a lack of online FPS games yet they ignore the 32-player Medal of Honor: Heroes 2.
They complain about "mature" games with blood and gore yet they igno...

LOL at all the haters who said this game didn't have legs.
We live in a pretty messed up society when we worry more about kids seeing sex in the media (in case you hadn't heard, sex is a perfectly legal and natural thing), yet we're totally okay with people watching murder and torture on TV and in movies (which is NOT legal nor natural).
I don't think it is gamers in general, but rather those on the outside (such as worried parents or hard-line moralists) who don't want sex in video games. It's like that hilarious news clip that Fox News...
[In regards to Resistance 2] "For a game that its first in the series sold a good 3.5 million copies it isn't logical for it to sell a good 2 million copies less on second go."
Just one example of this gentleman's logic. He argues that Resistance 2 is a flop because it sold less than its predecessor which has been out since the PS3's launch...oh Lord.
The fact that THIS made it through N4G's approval process reveals how....uh, how shall I say this?...biased our mods are.
I first played the tech demo of the game back in 2007 (I think). It's definitely worth trying and it's a testament to the unmatchable creativity within the indie PC gaming scene.
As I said Zorro Rojo, unless you're a fan of very specific franchises, the 360 doesn't offer much. Take out Gears, Halo, and Fable and what are you left with? Not much.
And remember, it's not as though those are the only games in their genre worth playing. That's why I said "IF you're a fan of a specific franchise". FPS fans have Resistance 1 and 2 and Killzone 2 on the PS3. 3rd-person fans have MGS4 on the PS3. As such, gamers should be looking at what is coming soon t...
I find it very odd how people spin certain things about the 360's sales. For instance, when it is being beat by the PS3 in Japan or Europe, the typical excuse is "uh...oh...those places love Sony.", yet when Sony is getting beat in Microsoft's home turf (North America), apparently that excuse isn't valid anymore. Apparently "uh...oh...North America loves Microsoft" isn't nearly as valid. Hmmmm.
