Yes it is. Trashtalking, racial slurs, kicking you out of matches, and reporting people simply because they beat you are all a part of Xbox Live. It happens. Period. To deny it would be to deny facts. Worse yet, people get away with it without any repercussions. Many of the things you hear on a regular basis on XBox Live would be grounds to sue someone if it was spoken in person, through an e-mail, or over the phone.
That's why I stick to single-player 360 games. I'd use Xbox Li...
Awesome. It just goes to show that a new IP with fresh ideas can be successful.
Er, riiight. Lord Xire. Thanks for addressing our counter-arguments...

@ Jenzo
Awww, I'm sorry, but no dice for you. I know it's easy to write me off as an anti-360 fanboy, but life doesn't work that way. See, I OWN a 360. I PLAY the 360. The problem is that I'm not a loyal Microsoft sheep. I exercise my patriotic right to complain, b*tch, and moan. If something that I paid money for is broken or mediocre, I demand that it be fixed. If a high-profile game is coming out but it doesn't seem up to snuff, I'll critique. If you were a gamer and not a fan...
@ cayal
I played the demo, and that's what I'm commenting on. And last I checked, there aren't any reviews out.
Sorry, but no cigar.
EDIT: So there IS a review out. One review. Whoopee. I still don't see how it invalidates my comments on the controls in the demo. Does the review copy of the game somehow have controls that DON'T reek of last-gen? Thanks for addressing my posts like a champ.
LOL. Setting aside my personal opinions and preferences, so many of the things you said are incorrect from a factual standpoint, it's not even funny. Say goodbye to the few bubbles you have.
To not see how essential Xbox Live is...is to be a perceptive customer. It's not essential. Even Greenburg said it. Remember? "Microsoft doesn't force you to pay for something you don't want", right?
My condolences. I hope you enjoy the PS3.
Ditto. I like WoW although I was never a devoted player. I liked Diablo I and II. I liked Starcraft. Personally, I like the Starcraft universe a LOT more than the Warcraft universe, and to top that off there are plenty of fantasy/medieval MMOs whereas you can't find a good sci-fi MMO even if you looked for it. Starcraft MMO would definitely get my dollar.
For a clown, your sense of humor is lacking pretty hardcore.
Foxgod, I'm sorry to say it, but Resident Evil stopped being surival horror roughly around the time when you were able to headshot 5 zombies within a few seconds in RE4. RE4 and 5 are "3rd-person action". They just happens to include zombies.
If you want survival horror I'd like to direct your attention to Dead Space, Condemned, System Shock 2, Call of Cthulu, Penumbra, the Silent Hill series, or even the Fatal Frame series.
Hope the game turns out, but I'm worried about the framerate and the length of the game (S-E has dropped the ball on both of these issues for their last several games).
EDIT: So I'm getting disagrees because...I want this game to turn out instead of being a mediocre game? N4G, you never fail to amuse me.
@ Foxgod
The Resident Evil series received the highest review scores, the highest sales, and the highest number of mentions on "Best 100 games of all time" lists (and similar lists) when RE4 came out.
Hmmm. Let's think about that. RE4 is the LEAST like the other games in the series. It uses a different camera. It doesn't use pre-rendered backgrounds. It uses different controls. It has different sorts of quick-time events. It has different pacing. It has dif...
I am against two main types of DLC. I hate exclusive DLC for multiplatform titles, and I hate DLC that simply unlocks something already on the disk.
Exclusive multiplatform DLC doesn't encourage anyone to jump ship and buy the other console. If you do that, you're an idiot. I'm sorry, but it's true. This kind of DLC only slaps fans in the face if they don't own that platform. PS3 owners who bought Fallout -- for example -- are basically being told by Bethesda "yeah, you supp...
Dread, I'm going out on a limb here, but I'm guessing you didn't have much experience with SOCOM's online. Either that, or you're willfully ignoring the massive issues with Gears 2's matchmaking and servers. Both games had MAJOR online issues, yet only one of them was docked several points in the reviews.
Precisely my point.
Gamers who sit back and accept whatever developers shovel down their throats is why game quality is decreasing. If this was a new IP, EVERYone (and I truly mean EVERYONE) would be complaining and mocking and calling out the developers for dropping the ball on the controls.
Yet, it's Capcom. Some of you gamers are blinded by nostalgia and wouldn't know "gameplay innovation" if it hit you in the side of the head like a jug full of the T-Virus. You sit there sucking your t...
IE is dying for a reason. It sucks. It's unreliable. Why would we lament the death of a broken and unreliable product (then again, Microsoft has a habit of attracting fans who do that exact thing...)? If anything, we should be glad that a mediocre product is being phased out by a superior product. It's THAT simple.
Wow, Foxgod. WOW. Seriously? Can you SERIOUSLY be this much of a fanboy? You're saying that Gamespot needs to see what OTHER people are giving the game to form their own opinion? Do you know how silly that sounds? Gamespot can review the game all on their own.
Please explain how "they know what kind of score to give to Kz2 without risking to lose credibility."
Please. Explain. I'm all ears.
After reading articles like this I wonder how any self-respecting human being can still think that the gaming media ISN'T biased against the PS3.
The article basically says "Okay, we were naysayers. We ragged on this game and didn't expect it to live up to the hype. Lo and behold, it lived up to the hype and SURPASSED the hype, but...uh...it wasn't original enough. It wasn't PERFECT. So, even though our naysaying was thrown back in our faces...even though our fanboyish pred...
You should complain more about your favored console. It's healthy.
