"Waaaaaa! Stop making fun of my favorite franchise. The controls are 'classic', didn't you know?"
The author says, "what kind of survival horror would it be without a bit of a challenge?" I'll tell you: it would be called 'Dead Space'.
The author says "something tells me that all the people that are hating Resident Evil 5 never played Resident Evil 4 or were never fans of it in the first place."

@ mintaro
He is using the exact same logic that 360 owners used when they said "Konami likes to make money, right?!?! They wouldn't squander a huge title like MGS4 as an exclusive, right?!?!"
Granted, their logic ended up being false. However, the point I'm making is that his logic isn't anything new. Don't bash him for it.
Just for the record, I want to point out how silly it is to say "Well...it says multiplatform. It DOESN'T say for PS3. It might just be for PC and 360".
If Konami announced that MGS4 was going "multiplatform", people would go BESERK! They'd scream "OMGGGGGG!!!! I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!! MGS4 ON THE 360!!!! OMFFFFG!!!!"
Yet, with THIS announcement we have to be uber-literal and say "Well...it says multiplatform. It DOESN'T confirm it for ...
Timesplitters 4 has hope, then. Did they absorb the employees, too?
I don't see how EA is denying it for PS3, either. It says that it's multiplatform.
Now let's set aside our fanboyism. Let's set aside our preferences. Let's set aside our favorite console and ask this very simple question:
- If Konami said that MGS4 was going multiplatform, would we think for even a SECOND that it wasn't coming to 360?
Why then are people trying to skirt the issue and make excuses for the "multiplatform" label? It's perfectly l...
PS3 delivers again. The first Uncharted is one of the best games this gen, IMO, right up there with Mass Effect, MGS4, and LBP. It had a FANTASTIC storyline with some of the funniest and most believable dialog I've every experienced in a game, and it was just plain fun.
Here's to you, Naughty Dog. Day 1 purchase for me (not that I was on the fence about it...)
I hope it doesn't turn out crappy. Dead Space is a phenomenal game on PC, 360, and PC but I'd hate for Wii owners to get a sour taste in their mouths from a shoddy port.
So far, the top TWO best looking games of 2009 are both on PS3? Dang, Sony continues to deliver.
I would've said GTA4, but you're actually right, because at least GTA4 came with more than 4 1/2 hours of content.
@ Graphics Whore
Yep. That's why I feel a strange peace about my PS3. Call it fanboyism. Call it whatever. All I do is look at that list of 20+ developers tied to the Sony name and it sets me at ease.
Because N'Gai works for Bioware and/or is on the Mass Effect 2 development team, amirite?
Hmmmm. Let me see. Let me go find a 2007 article that said Final Fantasy 13 was CONFIRMED to be PS3-exclusive...
I wouldn't PERSONALLY say that, but you're picking up on the double standard quite nicely. +Bubbles. :)
This is what happens when you rely on 3rd parties to fuel your list of exclusive games. I would like it if MGS4 went multiplatform so that 360 owners could stop bashing the game and simply enjoy it, but MGS4 is just one out of several PS3 exclusives, most of which were developed by 1st-party and 2nd-party studios.
@ Jenzo
WISE_FWOM_YOW_GWAVE, but I'm not hooked up to Live. My subscription expired last year. After all, well...I won't bother. You already know how I feel about Xbox Live.
1 million for a new IP is good, especially if it's from a niche genre.
I loved Dead Space. It was one of my favorite games of '08. I look forward to other games in the series (already confirmed by EA).
I think Dead Rising 2 was already confirmed to be 360/PS3.
Oh, so that logic applies NOW and yet when people say "Uh...Left 4 Dead isn't an exclusive" you 360 owners stomp and shout and say "YES IT IS! IT'S EXCLUSIVE ON THE CONSOLES!"
Nice. I love watching someone's logic break down and crumble.
Awesome. I enjoyed the first one on the 360, and then I played it again on the PC. I'm looking forward to ME2. Bioware makes great RPGs.
And there's no reason for anyone to be a fanboy about this. When it hits the PS3, it means that more gamers can enjoy it. Isn't that what 360 gamers said when FF13 when multiplat? Wasn't that the logic behind the rumors of MGS4 going multiplat?
Well, congrats! Now more people can experience the awesome Mass Effect universe that PC ...
And I said.
Even putting aside Gamespot's atrocious reputation, why wouldn't I trust the reviews that are out? If it was only one or two reviews, I MIGHT perk my ears and listen to Gamespot's reasoning. But KZ2 has an average of 93 based on 36 reviews. I'm supposed to dismiss 36 reviews for GAMESPOT? Really?
The very definition of an "LOL".
