Bloodmask, your response to those e-mails was weak. Okay, so you don't write the articles you submit. So what? Do you work for Fox News or the National Enquirer or something? I'm sure they don't invent the news they report, but anyone with half a brain knows that those media outlets CHOOSE to report news clips that support their agenda.
In the same way, you seem to conveniently approve articles that follow a certain agenda. Sure, you didn't personally write those articles, but ta...
Food for thought:
How is it that some people can notice the supposed superiority of the 360 version of a multiplat game when the differences are almost invisible...
...yet these same people will swear up and down that they don't notice any difference between DVD and Blu Ray or streaming Netflix movies and Blu Ray?
Did you read my post, or do you blindly attack anyone who makes negative comments on an article you approved?
What's with this new trend of journalists complaining about what a game LACKS? I understand that it's always good to offer constructive criticism and whatnot, but this is getting ridiculous. Fanboys did it to Killzone 2 (bawwwww. no co-op) and now they're doing it to Halo Wars (bawwwww. no Covenant campaign or Flood in multiplayer)?
Sheesh. Give it a rest.
Hopefully good ol' Peter will actually deliver on his promises. If the Fable games contained even half of what he talks about, we'd have some pretty incredible games. Fool me once, I bought Fable. Fool me twice, I also bought Fable II. Fool me thrice...well, I won't be rushing out to buy Fable III until I know for certain that it's the game I was promised, not a buggy mess with boring missions, a bad ending, and an underwhelming co-op mode.
LOL at the media trying to make huge issues out of obscure and uncommon PS3 hardware failures. The author mentioned that "I think Killzone 2 killed older PS3s with older and weaker Blu-Ray drives."
Can we keep the flamebait to a minimum? We have too many impressionable minds on this site and I wouldn't want people to actually BELIEVE the articles they read here.
While Insomniac, Bungie, and Rockstar are all good choices, I would personally tip my hat to StarDock. Not only have they released several great games, but they've also given Steam a run for its money with an excellent online store.
People like you are so sad. Sony talks about PSN numbers because -- unlike Microsoft -- they support multiple platforms. There's no inflation involved. When Sony talks about PSN, they're talking about PSN. Only desperate fanboys try to twist their words into something else.
Oh, and you want to talk about damage control? How about Microsoft counting Silver accounts and original Xbox accounts when they talk about "LIVE users", not to mention the sales numbers for the 360 ...
Despite what some may say, Microsoft was never prepared for the 360 to be a multimedia platform.
Let's not kid ourselves. How can Microsoft -- a software company -- compete with an electronics company -- Sony -- that happens to be one of the largest movie houses, also?
However, Netflix on the 360 is pretty dang neat if you aren't interested in new releases or Blu Ray.
The amount of duplicate articles on this site (oddly, many of them have an anti-PS3 flavor) is nauseating.
EDIT: On the other hand, the increasing number of fanboy "phantom disagrees" is hilarious.
Article titles ending with a question mark suffering from questionable validity?
And here's a quick history lesson: the article writer mentions that the first Bioshock game was a "timed exclusive" as if 2K intended to port it to the PS3 all along. This is completely incorrect and misleading. For many months, 2K denied rumors of a PS3 version and said again and again "It's NOT coming to the PS3!"
Interesting how many devs will proudly announce that a "Playstation" game has gone multiplatform (Tekken, Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry, etc).
Yet, these same devs will be all hush-hush about the potential of a PS3 version of an "Xbox" game (Bioshock 2, Lost Planet 2, Mass Effect 2, etc).
I agree that it was highly overrated. The single-player simply does not exist (it's playing the multiplayer with bots, basically). There is almost no storyline, and the game can be "beaten" in less than 4 hours.
It's a fun game. Most people would agree that it's a fun game, but charging full price for Left 4 Dead would be like charging $60 for Team Fortress 2.
I don't know why he picks on the 360 version, though. Both versions suffer from an extreme lack o...
LOL.
Articles like this is why I visit "Nonsense4Gamers.com" ; every day.
I have a 360. Unfortunately, every single one of S-E's next gen games has been crap.
Still, there's absolutely nothing fanboyish about pointing out an obvious discrepancy between what a company says and what a company is actually doing. If you were a gamer, you'd be upset about things like that, too.
I wonder if S-E will finally start to deliver on the promise (that they've made multiple times) that they're going to be a multiplatform company that treats all platforms equally.
All I can see right now is Wada running the company into the toilet.
Whether it's a multi-disk 360 game or a Blu Ray PS3 game, it really should make no difference to gamers. It's five minutes of your life for the PS3 install or a few moments of your life several times over the course of the game with a multi-disk game.
People are missing the point. The REAL issue here is how the developers feel about multi-disk games. You're lying to yourself if you think that games like Grand Theft Auto 4 and Fallout 3 would not have benefited from the extra spac...
Funny thing is that haters will praise a site for smashing their "enemy"'s big game yet when that same site turns out to be throwing out false information, heavily biased, or they bash one of their own games, they're left speechless.
Reminds me of all the fanboys who defended Edge's 7/10 score for Killzone 2 and said "let them have their opinion" and then ended up with their pants down when Halo Wars got the same score.
Does knowing that "your" version of a game on "your" console is superior to "their" version on "their" console somehow enrich your life as a gamer?
All of your posts make me believe that is the case.
