Wasn't this the guy who made LIVE's top-rated downloadable game...
...yet in interviews he said he got screwed over by Microsoft and was never going to work exclusively for them again?
Yes or no?
It seems that the high standard Killzone 2 was held to doesn't apply to these new games.
So let's go down the list of all the negatives thrown against KZ2 that also apply to RE5:
No innovation? Check.
Hum-ho storyline? Check.
Lack of co-op...er...versus mode (oh wait. We'll charge you for it)? Check.
Poor enemy AI? Check.
Bad controls? Check.
Killzone gets slammed. Resident Evil 5 gets praised. I'm glad...
Why compare two versions of an 86-average-on-Metacritic game when you have Killzone 2 and Halo Wars and Street Fighter IV to play?
This was probably the same "mistake" that caused Microsoft to overpay some of their fired employees and underpay some others...
The only people who doubted Bioshock 2 on the PS3 were fanboys who (inexplicably) want video game consoles to fail.
Why compare two versions of an 86-average-on-Metacritic game when you have Killzone 2 and Halo Wars and Street Fighter IV to play?
Looks like RE5 isn't doing so great. Based on the demo, I didn't think it was so great anyway...
I want the next Fable to actually deliver on some of the things promised for Fable and Fable II.
I'm not bashing the game. I'm just saying that there were plenty of disappointments in both games based on what we were told by Molyneux...
Well, I guess by definition a "sleeper hit" is a game that is relatively unknown by the console fanbase, the media, and the general public. Alan Wake is not a sleeper hit. Based on a tech demo for the PC version, it is hyped into the stratosphere by the 360 fanbase. Imagine when actual gameplay comes out...
The excuse from developers for DLC is "Bu bu bu bu but LOOK AT PC AND ALL THE CONTENT THAT THEY GET!"
The difference is that the PC software market is VERY different than the console market. Think about this: most PC games have expansion packs. Take a game like F.E.A.R. which released the main game and then launched two expansion packs for a lower price (yeah, I know 360 got the expansion packs too, but bear with me). When was the last time you bought Madden and then bo...
This list is pretty dang weak.
If you're a console gamer and you want to be prepared for the upcoming console MMO storm, the PS3 is the obvious choice. The Agency, DC Universe, and MAG (it's SORT of an MMO) all look excellent, and lets not forget that the PS3 is being backed by one of the best MMO developers out there: SOE.
It's weird, because before Squaresoft merged with Enix, both companies were developing excellent RPGs.
Yet, when they joined forces...well...Final Fantasy X-2 says "Hi".
Square Enix sold out. They lost a lot of their original talent, they leaned too heavily on their flagship franchises, they shoveled out a lot of mediocre and glitchy games, and the company is being run by a complete fool. They have been alienating and dividing their fanbase for the past several years and spoon feeding them hum-ho games.
True RPG gamers moved on to other companies such as ATLUS, Nippon Ichi, Bioware, Intelligent Systems, Level-5, etc a long time ago.
As a former Gamestop manager I'd like to offer a warning to anyone seriously considering this offer:
I'm not saying it's a bad deal, but it's not a great deal. The games listed are worth $15 to $30 in trade-in value anyway. At best, you're only saving a few bucks. At worst, you're actually getting a worse deal for your used games if you use them in this offer. Gamestop offers these deals all the time because they know they can make it seem awesome when it's really just a few extr...
@ HarukoHex
I don't fully understand your point. Your sentence was a bit...jumbled.
Sony has more full-game downloads available on PSN. Period. That is why they are ahead in this regard. Is that difficult to grasp?
Currently, the PS3 is the leading console for full-game downloads by a wide margin. Sony doesn't have to explain anything or make excuses for any games they choose not to put up on PSN when they're so far ahead.
Journalists who use article titles ending in question marks will soon be stricken with painful testicular cancer?
Capcom said they are a multiplatform company. The end. Why is there even a debate?
Dear sensationalist media,
Please look up the word "racist" in the dictionary.
Rac-ism
Noun
1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
"Racism" does not mean "anything that might be construed as anti-black." If Resident Evil ...
