Good Point, I forgot all about the controller and potential accessories.
This is something we haven't touched on enough. I'd like to see some first party accessories from Sony designed to work effectively with the PS3's various features. I love the fact that they offer consumers the choice of using nearly whatever they desire, but usually first party products do the trick better than any other.
I'd like to see Headsets, KB + Mouse, Media Remote, Faceplates, Charg...
I see your point, but you have to realize that those were also new games themselves, not EPISODES.
Games are a selling point in and of themselves because they're effectively seperate from whatever previous installment there may have been, which should equal a new experience, however similar they may be.
New content and features means the same game, no matter how you slice it. Think of Resident Evil 2, with 2 different story arcs in the same location. I can only i...
From a business standpoint, so long as they make 51 million dollars then it was a wise-investment, regardless of how poorly or how well it is received.
From the standpoint of a fan(i.e. ME), the only way this will be "worth it" is if this CONTENT looks and/or plays THAT much better than Gears, Killzone, Lost Planet, Lair, Forza, or any of several FULL GAMES that are produced at some fraction of this cost.
My point is, that even though I think GTA is as ...
the additional features the system's respective firmware updates may provide in the future, I love announcements like those. Home was a good start, so was IPTV, and I'm sure they're all not finished with these features just yet.
As far as games go, I would like to hear about Resistance 2, and of course more on Killzone. RPG's are a must though, as I'd like to know if the Tales series or Wild Arms is making the next-gen leap in the near future. A White Knight update would be nic...
because that's all it is...POLITICAL RHETORIC.
If you take half of the stuff Sony, or absolutely ANY company for that matter, says in their PR statements to heart, you're only fooling yourself...whether you believe it wholeheartedly or you condemn it with as much fervor. It's more or less part of some of these people's jobs to make their product look and sound as good as they can, arrogance, ignorance, stubborn attitude aside. If that means a few snide/foolish comments here and...
within the entire VG industry as a whole, not even just Sony. He usually seems able to convey a concise message without seeming too malicious, and I appreciate that, as there's too much senseless hostility in this industry.
As a PS3 owner myself, I have to agree with much of what RioHustla states as his gripes ith the PS3. Although I am by and large very satisfied with my system, almost all of what he lists sounds valid to me and could only make the system more enjoyable. User ...
"The Xbox 360 version of GTA will be $50,000,000 better than the PS3 version.."
That's a childish way to sling mud, especially considering how mature your comments have been as of late. If you genuinely think so though, just consider that Sony is reinvesting in their first party development houses, and you can bet your bottom dollar that what you see emerge from first parties this generation(360 and PS3 alike) will take advantage of their respective systems better tha...
Well, by that logic my favorite movie should be Titanic then.
HD Content is a growing commodity...much like DVD was about a decade ago, so the 2% thing isn't a very valid argument if you ask me. Do you honestly believe that these "average consumers" you tout will just stop buying the latest and best NEW things available? Prices will and have been coming down, so expect that number to grow.
I do agree that movies are beside the point when talking about g...
A classic couple of games that provided hours of fun for me, but LoD presented a good enough ending for me...but hey, I guess another couldn't hurt.
The lack of Blizz North would be a red flag though, but then again, this company has been pretty keen about not releasing utter garbage, so if it does happen, I expect it to at least be GOOD.
It's refreshing that there are some who can bring good common sense to an otherwise trivial fanboy rally.
The whole "doom and gloom" fanboy rants are more pointless now than ever. In this generation more than ANY other, all 3 systems have a very distinct and appealing place in the market. Gaming has such a broad, diverse audience now that it's pretty much assured that all of the big 3 will see success in their own way this time around. Regardless of who is the market ...
...why not exactly? HD-DVD's and BD's still hold their respective amount on their discs. Having a huge HDD is a plus, but there's STILL a pair of formats when their really only needs to be one...which one remains to be seen, but still.
"I look at all the agrees that Desperado gets,"
"and he brings up things like bubbles bc he is jealous."
So...you're complaining about him getting recognition and respect...yet him doing the same to you is unfair. Hmm...and you speak of jealousy?
"It is one thing to disagree and base it on fact"
And what makes your points of view so factual? Your response in 6.1 makes it clear that the title went completely over...
and one fault(or gripe, rather) that I notice is that everyone seems to be playing as a secret agent.
I think a more interesting way to execute a spy MMO would be to have actual players become a part of the organizations and groups that the spies are conducting their operations on or against, this way you could include actual dialogue and trickery to gather intel, as opposed to the tired old menu system and fetch quests.
I would love to see user-based/created cri...
It's amazing how each and every spinned angle equates to truth in the eyes of some.
Arm yourself with some one-sided information(even though there was a lack of hard info in your post), and you can't be wrong. Any other way to look at it is BS, right?
You remind me of Tom Cruise and his ridiculous shtick on psychology. "I did the research, so I know what I'm talking about, and you don't!" For someone who's so sure of himself, you sure aren't very open-m...
because contrary to what you may think, many will settle for mediocrity, time and time again. This isn't to say that the game will be bad, as I actually think it looks pretty good, but an example would be Madden and NBA Live.
The same hampered gameplay churned out year in and year out, yet the sales INCREASE all the time. It's amazing. Again, this isn't to say that Halo will be bad, but it's reached a level of establishment that if it looked like Doom 64 it would bring in drove...
and don't make it into a never-ending, umpteenth patchable MMO. Keep it as a good, deep action-adventure RPG and they've got another winner IMO.
I think that this is all just to garner publicity at this point, and it's a damn good way to do it I think. What better way to keep your game fresh in the minds of potential consumers by feeding the legions of bloodthirsty reporters and journalists exactly what they wanna hear...vagueness with which to twist and misinterpret things.
It probably works better than releasing screens and video, as those sorts of things may or may not initially have that wow factor, but do eventuall...
more work than the big name ones these days. I'm liking what I'm seeing from people like this, Ninja Theory, and those behind LBP(can't recall the name).
Frankly, Activision and EA disappoint me time and time again, and so far, the only big name ones staying afloat for me is 2K and Rockstar.
Hopefully this opens the floodgates for some more talented individuals to break into the scene, because there's definitely room for more talent and ideas, we just need publis...
The game did sell well and even in spite of some glaring and problematic flaws and glitches, didn't it still garner reviews that averaged over 70%?
I really hate using reviews to back up points...but just to help emphasize what I'm trying to say...(I really didn't think the game was too bad myself, though)
I'll go out on a limb here and just say that there was definitely some potential for a stellar game in the first release, it's just that some very obvious thin...
Maybe you just enjoy putting spins on things, I don't know, but let's take a look.
"NVIDIA the company that made the videocard for the ps3 will be including a unified shader architecture on their 2007 lineup of videocards."
2007...that's right...I suppose the GeForce 8 series surely didn't DEBUT NOVEMBER 8, 2006...which would be last year.
"A videocard without a unified shader can NOT compare to one that does... simple fact." ...
