until it's become evident to me that they're producing a product that I like, simple as that.
That's a pretty bold statement to make with games like Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid on the horizon. Say what you will about Lair, but it's tough to make a case against it's technical prowess, it is simply a showcase for the technical muscle of the machine.
Is F@H media streaming? How about any of the other various applications the Cell BE is used for? Do you think the military will be using them for media streaming? I certainly hope not.
You know that games ar...
of the publics perception that it's pretty much a gamecube with motion controls, so instead they're trying to cash in on what's "all the rage" right now.
It will pass I think. I won't say that the novelty will wear off, but people will start to look in other directions, which I think will force devs to start putting their heads together.
Pressure can do wonders for a team sometimes.
How can you feasibly explain complaining about features that DO NOT hurt the main function? It just doesn't hold any water. MAYBE if we lived in some tyrannical society where prices never came down, but that just isn't the case.
But some people just choose to disagree. I'm not following how that makes us any less intelligent than you or him. Personally, I don't think there's ANYTHING wrong with a game system being used exclusively for games, at all.
What I don't like is the mentality that you SHOULDN'T even attempt to utilize them for more if possible. Where the Hell do you think folding would be without PS3s? Even though that's not gaming, I think that's a pretty good thing that the community has goin...
and cellular phones are for making phone calls, but that doesn't stop them from including cameras, e-mail, internet access, music, photos, backgrounds, animations, GAMES, walkie talkies, you name it. Hell, come to Japan, NOBODY uses their cell phones for talking.
I understand he doesn't agree with many of the additional features included, because he feels that they drive up the price. Newflash: this is consumer electronics, prices come down, manufacturing WILL get cheaper. The ...
Never actually owned a GT title, even though I've borrowed and enjoyed the Hell out of them from friends. This will be a purchase for me, but I'm not the biggest racing fan, in any of incarnations, but I do like GT for the challenge and satisfaction you get from said challenge.
I wouldn't mind waiting until 09...but as for the 12 or so million that bought GT3...I don't know...
then I imagine it will signal a turning point in game development for the PS3, which may translate well to other systems, who knows? These guys roots are in PC development anyway.
I certainly hope that all of the outsourced devs take what they learn from development on this to other titles in the future and expand upon what's learned. Besides the 41 million dollar budget, the people here seem really keen and determined as to what they want to accomplish, and that can only be a ...
So we agree to disagree, I'm cool with that, bubbles for you.
I certainly wish there were some more level headed individuals on this site like yourself. Bravo on putting some unscrupulous characters in their place.
I've been on the fence about this one since it was first announced, but I would like SOME sort of future racer to fill the void left by F-Zero X(the best of the bunch IMO).
We'll see come tomorrow then I guess. IF it's good or bad, I always love news of new demos. The Darkness was pretty cool btw.
I hope the kids family will be ok at least...this is a memory that won't fade away, that's for sure. I can't imagine witnessing something like that.
As for his wife...I HATE cheaters, men or women, it's the most selfish and inconsiderate thing you can do in a relationship. As for what she deserves...I think you deserve whatever retaliation that you provoke...take that for what you will.
They should have just stuck with that and it would have been fine. No need at all to change their statements, no need to backtrack, no need to grasp at straws, it's simple as that.
Are you trying to defend double-sided journalism, or what? Is that ok in your eyes? Like I said, I couldn't care less about a review, it really doesn't bother me personally. My OPINION is that as professionals, they could have handled this a bit differently.
I wouldn't care if they di...

Because it's a classic case of people believing something once they've been told enough times. What does EA say E-V-E-R-Y year? Something along the lines of this years game fixes what was wrong with last year, it will be the best one yet, we've got a bunch of great new features(read:GIMMICKS), etc. etc.
People get reeled in...year after year, and it amazes me, even though there are examples of it all through our society and history, It will never cease to amaze me how idiots ca...
But that's just my preference. Madden? Innovative? ...when?
I'll say it's a decent game, but not innovative...just popular and soaked up by the masses. Commercial success /= acclaim and praise, at least not for me. If so, Titanic would be at the height of my top ten movies.
What about Tony Hawk? ANY basketball game? Hello NBA Jam, 2K, Street.
I just think it's foolish of them to backtrack on their statements and actually LOOK for reasons for the game to be bad. I couldn't give a rat's hide about a review or reviewer, they're all just opinions to me, but as a professional with as much influence over a particular community as these folks, a bit of discretion and objectivity should always be exercised when reviewing something.
Of course, in a review, subjectivity ultimately reigns supreme, but again, you should try to ...
Several changes later and no new processor, right?
This is honestly half the reason I've been waiting to purchase mine. Personally I want more than a warranty to ensure that my box won't die, I live in an EXTREMELY humid environment, and have 2 co-workers with bricked consoles.
Microsoft really needs to get their priorities in order, figure out all of their pertinent future hardware revisions and get to work.
I think they should have saved the blac...
but now can we finally bury the hatchet folks?
Each system has their advantages and disadvantages, and besides that, different programming philosophies apparently. Both are capable of great things, and it's good to see a developer, a multiplatform one at that, realize this.
