I loved the first two, and although the third one was a step down, it wasn't all bad. I know there was a conflict of interest, so hopefully there's some deleted scenes and/or a directors cut.
I wouldn't be disappointed in the least. The last 4 games have been complete disasters. The MK series as of late hes been an abortion to the fighting genre, just despicable.
I'll give it a chance if screens, video, and more importantly a DEMO impress me, but as of now...I'm not holding my breath.
PC market. An $800 rig that packs such good performance is a steal.
First saw a video of it maybe 3 weeks ago. I've gotta have this one. Delusions of grandeur, thy name is Spore.
sounds like it could be some kind of bandit off-shoot of The Oregon Trail.
but not for me...this game looks like crap. I have A51 for PS2, and wow was that ever an abomination of an FPS. I picked up Timesplitters: FP shortly thereafter and never looked back. I'm indifferent though. I couldn't see myself picking this up even if there wasn't a decent line-up for this fall and throughout next spring.
Sales haven't hit a plateau just yet, as the console is barely two years old. Price drops will happen throughout the life cycle and it will therefore be more accessible to consumers. By then, more people are sure to have HDTVs and corresponding equipment to take advantage of this HD revolution of sorts.
The only thing is, and HD-DVD drive will either cause the console to be more expensive and/or yield a greater loss for MS. This could potentially even delay another price drop f...
I was looking at the comments in the blog, and one of the first posts or responses said that they won't ONLY support 1080p, that lower resolutions will be supported. That says to me that 1080p is possibly their main focus, if not it's in tandem with others.
b/c a drive isn't built in from the get go. It's not quite too late to start putting them in, but that would either mean a higher price and/or a bigger loss on the bottom line for MS. Both are undesirable situations to prolong a war that MS really doesn't have much to gain from.
Anyway, I'd we're still on the heels of the HD generation, as the market penetration isn't quite there yet. It isn't too late, but we are certainly getting to that point IMO.
I can't wait to give this a shot. I don't have a 1080p, but I certainly wouldn't mind playing this on my 42" plasma. :D
So, by your infallible logic, all of the good reviews for Halo 3 were only good because it's Halo...right? Get off the fanboy crap for once in your lifetime. Just once. Believe me, it feels good.
Taking the bait, huh...and with that quote you've just admitted your purpose here as being a troll. Talk about egg on your face.
If Sony fanboys disgust you as much as you let on, then why bother posting here? You come here not for debate, the news, information, or even ...
Really folks, why let this get you so riled up? Even if you're one who concerns themselves with reviews(never understood why, but anyway), the vast majority have been overwhelmingly positive.Every high profile game gets the black sheep reviews anyway, it's happened with Halo 3 and Bioshock too.
If you yourself enjoy the game and know it's good, why let this bother you? Just call them nuts and move on. Posting how much you hate and despise the fanboys that work at publication X ...
That would be a very useful feature, indeed.
I love the XMB, and it's very sleek, but it's organization stops at the top menus. Below that, and specifically in areas where the user deposits content, it falls on it's face. Custom folders and categories would be great.
I haven't purchased one of those machines yet myself(for fear of the very things that have affected you), but I do plan on doing so eventually, and I agree. It just doesn't seem like something built for the long haul. Heck, the original memory spec was 256, correct? Thank the stars for Epic.
I do personally believe that the devs will be alrigth and some stellar games will continue to pop up on the platform, but this quote of yours really stood out to me and summed up exactly ho...
holy CRAP those players all look like PRIMATES. Uncanny. Live has the best faces and skin textures, 2K has the best proportions, and '08 obviously makes some sacrifices to yield 1080p.
since the only thing your feeble mind chose to zero in on was Home. Try again, use your comprehension skills this time. Using that brain that you're obviously not too blessed to have can do you some good in the long run, you know.
EDIT
Like I said. It went over your head. You criticize me for complaining and showing a lack of character, when the point of my post was addressing such issues within the community. FYI - I was saying that the PS community shouldn't u...
Home is to be released next year, better development tools are out, developers are getting a hang of the architecture, updates are being made to make the experience better for the user, and of course, the library is steadily growing.
As an owner, I agree, they really haven't been cutting it up to about a month or two ago, but that is most certainly changing.
Over the past year, and even in spite of some glaring issues the 360 has enjoyed the limelight and run away with the vast majority of accolade from the media.
Now, expect favoritism to seemingly shift to the PS3s side over the course of the next year. All of those sites and publications many of us labeled as biased will start to have a shift in said bias to the Sony side, and it's already starting. Soon enough, we'll be seeing more praise, specials, and generally positive artic...
Kudos to you, Shadow.
My question is why on earth he would take video games so seriously anyway.
As far as Halo, you're a long way off. I'm not the series' biggest fan, but Doom is a far cry from Halo even at the most basic concepts. Thing about Doom was the weapons...bigger and better throughout the game. In Halo, there's different weapons to use for different situations, and you can even get creative in some cases.
In short, he's full of crap.
