The old Turok games on the 64 used to nauseate me all the time, as much as I loved them.
Asinine, thy name is "Nintendo la Rivista Ufficiale"
I've said it before and I'll continue saying it. Gaming press = Celebrity tabloids. Ridiculous.
I was gonna buy one if it had the Touchsense that people shouted about for months on end, but if it's the same old stuff, I'll pass. Congrats to those that missed it though, but not my cup of tea.
I still want to play this more than a lot of games coming out soon.
so they've got my vote.
None of it adds up. If it's certainly not Fable, it damn sure isn't Banjo. I have yet to hear of a substantial following for that title, and from what I know, it hasn't been in development for a long time.
This is just here to stir the pot.
Wow, I wish I was in gaming journalism so I could get the whole world riled up about rumors.
Gaming journalism is equivalent to the tabloids now. Rumors for games, preposterous.
that the previewer hasn't had much experience with firearms. Perhaps he's played with them or something, because simply pointing and jerking a trigger isn't going to yield favorable results.
Shooting isn't that hard, it just takes discipline and patience. Anyone can become a tolerable shooter within a week or two as far as I'm concerned. Hardly an ability I'd consider outside of the reaches of your average Joe
MGS moves? LoL, sure, ok. If you think there's many able-bodied grown men in their mid-late twenties that don't know how to CHOKE someone, I'd love to meet each and every one of them. Seriously, that's the most sophisticated hing you'll see Nate do...otherwise I've done a dropkick(real special, like we all never grew up seeing these), sweep, and a leaping punch for crying out loud. A schoolyard move. So much for Solid Snake, huh?
Aiming a weapon? Excuse me, but control is very ...
FNR3 has the best character models I've seen to date, and the game is nearly two years old by now. That says a lot, and I haven't gotten into the intricacies of the game.
Sony would be wise to pick them up.
I agree that it's not a genre defining ordeal, but it's a very well polished, well refined game from my experience with the demo.
I think the aiming is fine. It's a tad on the slow side, but it works for the overall pace of the game, and if it doesn't satisfy you, simply bump the sensitivity up a few notches.
As far as combat being restricted to cover gameplay, they couldn't be further from the truth. Based on that, I'm assuming they ran through it just once or t...
The demo is pretty fun.
All I know is, that when Home launches, this stuff can't continue. Sony seems to be promoting a sort of gamers unity kind of vibe, and region locking and exclusive content will be a no-no. What sort of laughing stock will they look like with gamers around the world mingling, yet they can't d/l the same content?
The PSN should either have an option to just go into another regions store, or just integrate them all, separated only by language. If you wanna download the latest JP d...
that what we're doing when we d/l from other territories isn't exactly in line with the agreement we clicked on when we set up that account. Add to that, fraudulent information had to be used(address, etc.) to finish up the account and there you go.
What everyone seems to overlook is that although this is nothing new, Sony could really crack down on every last one of us if they wanted to...and HARD. My fake JP account, your US account, all of us. We're essentially asking them, ...
The hellstorm of complaining really penetrated this time...and Sony is basically giving in to demands to more or less break the EULA and endorsing fraud.
I've got a foreign account too, and I've d/led GT5P, but if it were region locked, it would be for a reason...we really have no right to complain about this stuff, we're essentially asking for them to let us walk all over their rules.
I think global content and a global store would alleviate this and be a brilli...
Granted, it sucks for those of you who are locked out of it, but technically we're not supposed to be d/ling stuff from other regions anyway. I think the GT5P cluttered mess proved that enough.
Whether we've been doing it from the beginning or not is inconsequential, we're basically crying to them to let us break rules. It does suck, but some of you go way too far. I've downloaded a demo from Japan before, but I'm fully aware that with an American account it's not my bloody bir...
Games are region free...so demos should be too. Then again, I'm sure the PS store isn't universal for a reason, but STILL, this should have been announced before all of this.
We've known about the demo coming today for at least a week. This should have been stated with the announcement. It's only served to cause a bunch of confusion. Sure, we technically shouldn't be d/ling things from other regions, but they could have at least done their part as well.
It's no big secret that you can't take the methods for PC and 360 programming to the PS3. I won't say it makes other devs who don't do as well garbage, as I'm sure they do well in their area of expertise, but at least someone is showing that it can be done, and done well.
+1.
We've all been spoiled by the myriad of features we've seen since launch, but you're absolutely right. We should care more about things like reducing how much RAM the OS calls for and optimization.
all of the underlying details that went into this update. Although there was a press release of sorts, I think it's safe to say that we don't know what they changed beyond what's on the surface.
Perhaps the framework underwent a pretty pivotal change so they can establish some things later. Maybe a lot of it was re-written in preparation for Home, and as tightlipped as they've been about their little baby, I doubt we'd know about that. Since XMB will be available from within Ho...
Bullcrap rumor. Nothing new, end of speculation, moving on.
