like we don't have enough of that fecal matter floating about the internet. Thank you Eurogamer, you've done an impeccable service to the community with this one.
I think it's gonna be mighty hard for them to top CoD4's Online MP.
I'm blown away. It's fast and furious, but it's got a psuedo-realistic vibe with the weapons and damage. I'm loving it. Excellent balance of realism and fast paced gameplay.
Whatever they have planned, they better be taking notes. Learn from their own mistakes, but also learn form the successes of others. There's plenty of material out right now to learn from, too(Gears, Halo, CoD, Resistance, et...
with calculations the possibilities are limitless. I for one am getting tired of the same canned instances governing potentially different situations. Take NBA 2K for example. That game is riddled with canned instances and animations. It sucks because sometimes you'll get pushed away when you've got a good angle on a drive, or you'll be forced around when you were nearly past someone. Don't even get me started on foul calls, because those are very obviously random.
Every sports...
could fit into any sports game, and I think it should. Mix mo-capped animations with this and specific stats and you've got a good thing. Completely procedural or completely canned is inherently flawed I think, but a nice mixture of both(CoD4, Killzone 2) I think will produce good results.
thanks for the info!
I'm sure that the different programming paradigm for the PS3 can have some interesting revelations for traditional 360/PC programming. I know the 360 has VMX units itself, so I don't see why someone adept with Cell programming wouldn't be able to apply at least some of those techniques to benefit the 360. Correct me if I'm wrong, just my speculation.
so I could fire everyone that worked there and put that tripe out of business for good.
It's amazing to me that there are business people and executives that can collectively keep something so BLATANTLY full of sh*t on the air.
Critics have too much of a voice and entirely too much leverage right now. Critics /= millions of sales. Critics /= happy customers. Critics /= mass appeal.
I hope no developers take them seriously, because most of them are taking them to heart a bit too much. That Halo swag bag crap was RIDICULOUS.
Apparently, exclusive to console A means the initial release of a game. Special editions and expansion packs are fair game I suppose, right Bethesda?
Even though it's been debunked scores of times by now, this once again makes me wonder about Bioshock. Still doubt it though.
Personally I think they should shove it either way. Let developers do what they want, and their audience should do the talking.
Devs and publishers cater to critics WAY TOO MUCH these days, and it's sickening. There's no other medium right now, be it movies, music, or television, whose critics get as much leverage as video games.
Enough bending over backwards for these cretins, because it should be their target audience that they answer to, nobody else.
Demo was ok, seemed to lack refinement though. Very cool idea, though, and it was entertaining in practice at that.

or traditional street-fighter sort of aesthetic to it. I think the DBZ Budokai games are a shining example of how well anime-inspired 3D graphics can look. They don't have to use cel-shading, but I'd prefer that they did.
Personally, I'm open to the idea of a fair amount of change. Staying too bound within tradition just to please the elitist scumbags that have a deathgrip on the past will only stifle innovation and good ideas. A balance of change with tradition is the best rou...
Why on earth is that a good thing? We've seen how constructive the pissing contests on this site get, so where is the evidence that supports this being a redeeming quality? I don't see it anywhere. Arguing for a console only spells insecurity to me. If you enjoy what you have and you absolutely must let someone know, just state some simple reasons why and leave it at that. Instead, I see people digging up dirt like crooked politicians trying to champion a smear campaign against their rivals, ...
What you're basically saying is that we're all in the same boat. That's what I'm saying. This little fallacy whereby people conveniently ignore their own misery and try to paint a picture of others being miserable is laughable at best.
Some of us are satisfied, others aren't. Ignoring one group and focusing on one isn't gonna magically make everything all better.
Everything you just said applies to all current gen machines, it just depends upon the INDIVIDUAL. We...
When you can come up with enough evidence that shows that a considerable majority of next-gen console owners are satisfied, I might agree with you.
This site is a WELL KEPT catalog of complaints, grievances, and insecurities of PLAYSTATION 3 and XBOX 360 OWNERS. NOBODY is satisfied right now.
This pretentious holier than though bullsh*t about Wii owners being the misguided few, many or whatever you want to call is such a complete bunch of bull. This sort of stuff...
Non gamers? "True nature" of the industry? Who are you to make such declarations? I'm not trying to be inflammatory here, but really now. Because someone is interested in a different type of game makes them a non gamer? I'm sorry, but I'm failing to see where this adds up here. Guy or girl + Wii game = non gamer? Come again, please? What sort of elitist attitude is that?
Why on earth should ANYONE conform to a certain ideology? It's just video games. We're all so busy...
Rumors about where who gets their rumors. People are running out of material...worst of all we eat it up like cupcakes.
when it's the console with largest install base, most success, satisfied consumers, and best of all, LEAST amount of fanboys, trolls, and extremists.
The grass is always greener, huh? Damn sure is. Too bad we're too arrogant with our elitist mindsets to live and let live. Complaining about someone else's business...a movement championed by human beings since time immemorial.
*EDIT*
Two things. First of all thanks for being a shining example of what...
That's the worse thing people could do. Adding more fuel to the fire won't make anything better.
Hold your head high, refrain from such childish extremist bickering and SET AN EXAMPLE. Us not being as*es will hurt a lot more.
