I guess IGN is either God, or the interactive entertainment branch of the Supreme Court. Does anyone think for themselves anymore, or do we just do what we're told by the media, OR insist that the media is crazy, biased, or wrong, when they don't agree with us?
If Diablo 2 can have a free service with as many characters as you want, with PvP IN ADDITION to questing the actual story, then there's no friggin' reason why MGS4 can't. Hogswallow.
Game looks amazing, but that's no excuse for this. Hopefully this is just some temporary ploy to cut their losses and it's eventually made free. That's entirely too restrictive.
I'll remember that when the next high profile title doesn't get at least a 9 from them. 9 because it seems that the sheeple, both XBox and PS3, don't tolerate scores lower than a 9 for their favorite games.

Some of the brilliant minds who delivered the one-two knock-outs Diablo and Diablo 2 are in disarray.
I guess that just goes to show that without a clear cut vision and god direction, even talented folks will fly blindly.
I'll wait about 2 or 3 years, and cop a $1500 PC that will run this game like butter. Some may be puzzled at this, but any good game will withstand the test of time. I guess I'll find out if Crysis is just that.

Say what you want about them being dead in the water in Japan, but as of right now they're making the right moves to get more RPG's on their machine.
I've seen them smash the Xbox as well as the PS3 for a while now. They're just a generally cynical site. I find it odd that they are gamers, because I can't really remember anyone from that place enjoying anything.
In any case, this bias crap is getting stupid. They play both sides of the field. Not that it's acceptable, but whatever.
Every game in Japan isn't a staple 60 bucks like it is in the states. I've seen many games, usually the more popular ones, be upwards of 7,980 yen(approx. $75).
That's the big one for me, and I've been saying it for a long time now.
Say what you want about Microsoft, good or bad, but it's a travesty that such a rich company couldn't put some more money into their flagship machine, period. There's just no excuse for that. MS isn't on their last legs, they don't need to undercut the competition.
One of my favorites ever, right up there with Starcraft. As a console gamer, games like Diabl, Starcraft, and Dungeon Keeper gave me a reason to play my computer.

just finished MGS2 this evening. Easily one of the best gaming experiences of my life, can't believe I've been missing out on this for so many years.
I honestly ha a hunch that 3 would be the best, but I'm having a hard time seeing how it will top 2. Guess I'll find out soon enough.

This kind of thing really damages the credibility...or sanity, maybe BOTH, of Itagaki saying that the 360 is the most powerful system.
Yeah, I know the PS3 has had issues like these before, so no I'm not insinuating that PS3 is teh GODZ ir anything like that...but the man isn't really making a case for his game pushing technical limits when it doesn't even run in HD.
but that's with every high profile title with a massive following these days. You can literally predict which games will garner good scores before they're even out. Halo 3, and GTA4 along with this game were my picks for this year, and quite frankly, it's sad that one person can predict such a thing.
