These visuals we're looking at, especially when you look at the animals, are UNPRECEDENTED. Not Crysis, not Afrika, not even Wardevil with their supposed super-sophisticated 1080p 60fps engine looks close to this stuff.
It may be possible, I guess the only people that really know are the folks who are working on the machine, but with that said, why bother get hyped over this without any official word?
I've never seen a tech demo even on the PC that looks so good. That stuff even rapes Id's Tech engine.
This is either BS, a pre-rendered demo "done to spec" as was Killzone 2 in '05, or it's...the undeniable truth.
I truly hope it's the latter, but I've been disappointed so many times in the short time this gen has been going that I won't even bother to get hyped about this.
Screens look nice, taking the info with a grain of salt.
it's orange, HAPPY!?
Tell us something we don't know, really.
Is this worth being here? This is only one of the biggest criticisms and complaints levied at the 360 since...you know...LAUNCH and all.
Guess what folks, the sky is blue.
Jet-Motostorm.
Nah, whatever the title, if it's an improvement on the first, should be a winner.
but if the claims are true, I wonder how their engine compares to the KZ2 engine.
He says that the cover slows the action to a crawl, and that it relegates the game to stand-offs. Not necessarily.
Whenever I faced a huge group of foes, they were always on the move. Sometimes I would just sit there to see what they would do, and if you're not on the offensive from your defensive position, they will close in on you and bring the pain.
I never survived by camping behind a single piece of cover throughout my entire run through the game. Whenever.....
but it seems to me like people have to keep on saying it's the best future racer almost as if they're trying to convince themselves.
Pure was easily one of the best PSP games hands down, but I really don't think WipEout holds a candle to F-Zero. Doesn't mean WipEout is bad(that's for you venomous fanboys), just not as good. I've got no qualms playing both, mind you.
Then WTF was Warhawk? A terrible abortion of a game, sure, but I know I played that beta for a month.
Capcom is becoming more and more full of sh*t seemingly with each passing month. There's something new and stupid with them about that often.
The full game has got to sell at least 3 or 4 million. At least.
Like I said, it seems to play very well, and I love how fluid the animations are, but the detail in the visuals are at a criminally low level. And yes, I did indeed mean Tekken Five and Soul Calibur Three.
I'll probably pick this up and enjoy it though, but all I'm saying is I'm not happy with the looks.
So Okami is a port, and I'd think the jump from PSP to PS3 would be fairly big. Then again, if these are former BLIZZARD and Naughty Dog employees...they can probably pull off some MacGuyver type stuff with any piece of hardware.
Whatever it is, I'm keeping my eyes peeled.
but I still say the visual fidelity isn't up to snuff. Tekken 5 looks better than this game. Soul Calibur 3 looks better than this. That's unsat.
You can't buy dignity. Can't buy self-respect. Money won't replace pride.
...if you tell 'em something enough times, they'll eventually believe it.
Just seems like they keep running their mouths about Blu-Ray so they themselves will believe it.
Get over it already.
we know what console they're moving on to after the PSP...
I'll give him one thing..he's tenacious...trying real hard.
I guess you may have missed the memo, Peppers, but the fanboy train came and went a LONG time ago. Some folks missed the train, but you just showed up months later and there isn't even another one scheduled.
Nobody, on either side of the fence, is listening to the stupid crap that people like you say anymore. You're a dying breed, so give up the ghost on it now, and quit while you're behind...way behind.
Cryengine has stolen their thunder, and since they've had great market penetration in the console arena, then why not? Sounds like smart business to me.
Looks almost ugly now, as if it's missing a lot of detail.
I got so sick of seeing Special Edition DVD's come out only to see some "Extra Special" or "Classic" or "Director's Cut with extended scenes plus fourteen new endings minus the stupid censored crap from the rating association, etc ad nauseum".
With this, it sounds like folks who buy an earlier edition of a movie won't miss out on some of the interesting featurettes that future releases will see.
