Looks exactly the same as before, EXACTLY.
I'm not complaining, because it looks stupendous, however it doesn't look any better than before.
That is the truth.
I think a good solution would be to give PS Store money or a particular prize after gaining a certain amount, but that just doesn't seem to be the case.
That's what I think though, thanks for a good discussion.
I'm just trying to say that I don't understand it, but to each, their own.
You're correct, it's not mandatory, however my beef with trophies isn't rooted in that, it's just that devs will direct their efforts towards something like that as opposed to tangible, useful content.
Both ideas, trophies and gamerscore/achievements are utterly weak.
It ASTOUNDS me that gamers everywhere are hooked on such intangible crap like that.
Why is it that nobody cares about in-game unlockables anymore? People would rather have a little digital sticker that says "achievement" or "trophy" instead of extra costumes, levels, more bosses, weapons, gear, music, XMB wallpapers/themes, and stuff that you can...I dunno...USE?
My go...
The fighting looks just like MK:DA, D, and A....JUST like them.
Stiff, mechanical, not fluid whatsoever. If release is in November, I doubt they'll implement physics and something like Euphoria, so I think I'll pass. If we get a demo I'll check it out, but if the game continues shaping up like this, won't even rent it.
Great looking graphics though, but that's where the positives stop. Talk about rigid and robotic animations...
The original is in the homes of 10 million folks around the world. Starcraft is pretty big.
to tell everyone else what they already know/think.
Althouh Starcraft is my favorite game ever, Diablo 2 was by far the most addictive I've ever played.
it's that the gameplay sequences were not meaty enough. After Act 2, anyway. I love this game, I really do, on my second playthrough working on the Bandana and Stealth Camo at the moment, but there's a criminally lopsided imbalance between gameplay and cutscenes in this production.
Act 3 was PITIFUL. Follow some guy around for a few minutes...and that's IT! WTF was that...
Act 4 was ok, but it was less than half the length of either of the first two, and Act 5 was pr...
Cry me a river.
So just because this cretin isn't pleased with the games and the company, it must all go away. Talk about a selfish bastard.
so why can't you, BulletTooth?
Quit taking ownership in the game, this is just a hobby. First of all, like they said, they gave it a ten, secondly, they aren't bashing the game. Nothing they said has any profound impact on the game itself, they're just certain aesthetic pieces that are strictly a matter of personal opinion. It's like some people liking the color red, and others not.
No reason to get all bent out of shape about it.
As much money as was presumably pumped into these two projects, as much buzz as they both created, and more importantly, the man-hours just tossed aside, wtf is going to happen now? Just start working on something else?
I'm not implying that this news is false, I'd just like a better explanation, and a follow up on what they're doing now. I can't imagine that the studio is merely sitting their hands.
This, along with Uncharted are among the few games to have good surface, ground, and wall textures.
Nearly every game this gen has jumped on the better/realistic looking character bandwagon, which has been a long time coming since the PS2/XBox days, but a lot of surface and environment textures have been lacking. I swear MGS3 has some better looking environments than quite a few current gen games.
Anyway, like I was saying, the textures are looking top notch, from cl...
Wow, are you ever some kind of fool...my agreeing that EVERY high profile game gets a free pass doesn't mean I'm passing judgment on the game itself, you tool. Learn to READ.
Yes, I have not played the game yet, however, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to sit back and observe the history of journalism and fan reactions to realize that game scores get inflated. You don't have to play a game to realize that there are certain incentives that a media outlet will garner, tangible a...
Square Enix, Nintendo, BioWare, Blizzard(although they're my favorite company), Santa Monica, Kojima...Polyphony Digital...I could go on for DAYS.
Those are all stellar companies in their own right, but come on now...they've all had their missteps throughout history, yet we never hear about it until the fans themselves start posting their impressions. Prime example is framerate and graphical issues as with GTA4 as you noted.
That's the problem with the vast majority of the folks here. You all seem to believe that the only opinions that matter are your own, and those that AGREE WITH YOURS. Look at any review posting and there's bound to be people, on one side of the fence or the other, claiming that the reviewer is either cool because they agree, or insane/biased because they disagree. WTF kind of hypocritical, flip-flopping mentality is that? Now, I do believe that journalism for this industry is in the toilet at...
I won't be comparing my experience to his review, as his opinion doesn't concern me and won't affect my experience.
Only reason I'm posting is because I agree with him, although I believe him to be a hypocrite, about some game designers and game titles getting higher scores simply because of their reputation, and not because they stand on their own merits. I fully expect to enjoy he game myself, as the series has only gotten better IMO since the first one, but my point is more a ...
Although I believe that he himself is disingenuous and full of crap, illustrated like you said by him not standing on his own two and pointing the ginger at others, there is some truth to his words.
The fact of the matter is, if you sincerely believe that there are no such thing as inflated reviews, you're living in a fantasy.
You won't see mixed reviews of Mario games, Metal Gear games, Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto, Gran Turismo, God of War, Zelda, and many, many...
So if this is true, I doubt that would simply mean the exact same configuration with a different controller. I'm anticipating probably a bigger HDD with a smaller fabrication process.
That is if this is true, of course.
