Constructive criticism comes from fans, period. Those of you who like to turn a blind eye to certain faults and areas that CAN improve, I BLAME YOU for games like Haze and Lair, I sincerely do.

It's because of those types of gamers who choose to poke their heads in the sand and pretend that some issues either aren't there, or they simply take the time until release FOR GRANTED as if time magically equals improvement. Too many people don't realize that if problems aren't brought t...

you're missing the point. Debate all you want, that's fine and dandy, but you know good and well that this is not what's happening here. You simply quoted GamesRadar and linked to their site, that's hardly a debate. Furthermore, if your intention was to spark a debate, that's what a FORUM is for, you don't do hat with news, especially being a journalist yourself.

Another thing is that you don't expound upon what Gamesradar said in any way, shape, or form, so how can you consider ...

How the hell is a QUESTION that branches off of a simple quote from another media outlet constitute NEWS? How about a thought-provoking analysis? Word from the devs? This crap shouldn't even be on their own site.

Talk about being desperate for hits...the good folks at PSU really need to get their act together and do some real journalism. Scouring the net for tidbits and maybe's is unsat.

I completely agree with that, I was just interested in Presentists idea of it, because it doesn't seem in line with that philosophy.

fair enough. I would advise not trusting any particular media outlet though, particularly big ones like IGN with such close ties to the industry. Advertising dollars are big bucks, after all, take that however you like. The problem with independent outlets and blogs however...is that any idiot with half a brain and ten fingers can jump behind a keyboard and shoot off at the mouth with their never-ending stupidity.

For those reasons and many more, I don't trust any of them. That's...

I'd love to hear this, and with reasons as well.

cheat DLC. Cheat codes aren't too big of a deal, they were always fun and more importantly, at the option of the player. Now stuff like this is for sale? Lame for the buyer AND seller if you ask me, but to each, their own.

however the original Metal Gear Solid came NOWHERE close to it's target render. Fine by me though, although it graphically looked a lot better, everything else looked a bit screwy.

the only console I own is a PS3, so you can take that fanboy accusation and shove it.

Secondly...there isn't much to read into very deeply...pride is a very distinct emotion that I see people all too often misinterpreting. I should say YOU don't know or understand the meaning of the word. In any case, you can go ahead and keep overreacting, I'm done with this.

I don't believe in false pride, in this particular case, pride by association.

I'm happy to an American, sure, but not proud of it.

In any case, no need to get so bent out of shape, I was just asking.

are you proud of something you yourself had nothing to do with?

"it's funny how people are getting so bent out of shape over something that's not even in the game."

Just like how you shouldn't be getting so bent out of shape about people's opinions of it too, then huh? There are two sides to that coin. If it's not in the game, why are you so sure it's gonna be a masterpiece? Why is your opinion so much more valuable than everyone elses? Why is it that you are allowed to be amazed by this game and anticipate it so much, but a simple ...

The publicity isn't getting to me, nor is his foolishness to be honest, but for the sake of the man's sanity...he needs to just put a sock in it already.

He's only making it worse for himself.

They're human beings just like us. Their opinions need not be pondered any more so than the average joe just because more people take notice.

Who cares why they think and score the way they do...it is..or should be anyway, inconsequential to how you receive a game. That's what demos, borrowing, and videos are for.

People, whether they have a job in the industry or not, will think how they bloody well think.

don't let the words of a simple moron get to you. Although they themselves may be serious, what they say shouldn't be taken seriously.

First of all, it spends more time talking about Guerrilla, previous games and other games than it does Killzone 2.

Next, that list of bullets is just that, it's a list of bullets. It's not specific in any of the areas it supports, and therefore they are vague, and some of them are just irrelevant crap. Filling up the blu-ray disc? What idiot really considers that a concrete gameplay advantage over another game? What idiot feels that filling up a disc makes a game less generic? Al...

And that's the exact sort of thing that early birds like Microsoft ought to take into account for the next go around, especially when you consider the myriad of issues that has plagued them for trying to be first to market.

I predict this generation will be a longer one for all three...if they know what's good for them that is.

It's no big secret that development costs have skyrocketed since last generation. The ten dollar price hike for games is an indicator of that...

Why do we feel the need to shoehorn games into a particular category in order to justify the enjoyment we get out of them?

Art or not, who cares? A rose by any other name. Whether games are categorized as art or cow dung, I'd still enjoy them that much.

The fact certain self-appointed entertainment connoisseurs disagree doesn't phase me.
