and by a WIDE margin.
When I played 4, I couldn't help but think about all of the things that were missing from the previous installment, such as the hunting for food, treating your own individual wounds in a very detailed manner, and picking the right camo for the right moments(Octocamo is for the lazy if you ask me. Cool idea, felt like a step back, however). For that matter, I also don't like the way you acquire weapons and ammunition in 4 either, completely nullifies the sens...
That's just scandalous. Paying to EDIT your character. As if they don't make enough money on this game as it is, they can't simply give back to the community. That's just sad, particularly since Blizzard is my favorite developer.
the SAME thing...wow.
I have never seen or heard, even so much a rumor, stating what engine the game is using, be it borrowed, licensed, or proprietary.
I guess they didn't get the memo that a third party made this game.
If a game is good, then a good demo of a good game can only help. If a game is trash, then a garbage demo of a trash game will hurt sales. Personally, I don't care about sales, I have no stake in companies, I care about my enjoyment.
because there's a new "World's fastest PC" every few months. How is anyone expected to appreciate something like that unless they have short term memory loss?
I still don't even understand why the number that another human being gives a game means so much to people.
Somebody please explain to me what the hell that means.
oh and just because it's exclusive, I might add. Developer skill has nothing to do with that. Nevermind that the top game this gen is a multiplat. Those games Lair, 99 nights, Perfect Dark, Bomberman, and Haze...hoo boy, MASTERPIECES, and only because they were exclusive! EVERYONE knows that if it's exclusive, it MUST be good! ...right?
I understand we all want good exclusives on our consoles...but let's lay off on the false logic a bit here folks, my goodness. The stuff you guys...
before enough people start interpreting their silence as a sort of passive compliance and get worried over hearsay.
and not necessarily because they're well refined. Being that none of them are released, time will tell.
Seemed like standard fantasy fare, and the combat vid I saw was kinda meh.
STUNNING visuals right there. I'll keep my eye out for more.
from one of their Europe studios.
akin to the Gamecube Wii...I doubt that. That has never been Sony's bag, and with as much as is at stake, they stand to lose a lot by taking such a strategy.
My bet is on the 32 SPU Cell with more local store for the SPE's, among other improvements. I have no clue what to think about the GPU, however.
Trophies add no tangible value to a game, period.
I enjoy my games because they're fun, it's as simple as that. I don't spend time mindlessly executing some menial task in a game just so I can get a cute little sticker that says "gold trophy" on it.
IT sure isn't, because there was never any guarantee that the game would be good. When reputable studios with a good track record like Factor 5(Rogue Squadron) and Free Radical(Goldeneye, Timesplitters) can make bad games, anyone can.
This bullcrap about taking a rep for granted has destroyed games and devs alike. Let's stop expecting stuff to happen like we're clairvoyants. Open minds, please.
but good point.
I was insinuating that the character designs are uninspired, and they seem to have a checklist of sorts. Each character dresses way too similar IMO, they need something to distinguish them. Notice how the most distinguished characters are the ones from the first couple of games. People like Kai, Jarek, Shinnok, Mavado, and what not, nobody cares about.
doesn't mean that he wasn't a phenom of a fighter in his prime. Reminds me of all the cretins who also like to pretend that O.J. Simpson was nothing special because of the trial...ridiculous.
