This game and their devs have been getting way too much silly scrutiny since the PS3 footage was shown.
I don't know what people are expecting or what they want, but it seems like quite a few folks need a reality check. Same token though, DICE needs to stop obsessively addressing every comment about the game. Makes them look equally foolish.
At this point they may as well wait until the next generation of consoles. They won't do anything spectacular enough with current hardware that anyone will consider memorable. FF7 was just two gens ago, let it breath.

I'm actually a bit surprised at how slow moving this technology is, I'm waiting for a DVR that has HDMI in/out. When that's released, then we can talk turkey.
The game looks stellar, but if this is in any way true, they shouldn't even feel the need to say this. The proof will always be in the pudding, and last time I checked, Infinity Ward didn't start out by saying "Our game is better than Halo in every way!".

It's not cheating and it isn't an unfair advantage. An advantage, yes, unfair, no.
If it's available to one, then it's available to all, and if that's the sole reason why one is losing, then either fix the issue or perish. Hate to say it, but competition, and that includes gaming, is about survival of the fittest. If you're not using the optimal tool for the job, then that's your own fault. Don't like using a M/KB? Not to mention that the movie adaptation of L.A. Confidential, while deviating from the book quite a bit, was one Hell of a flick in it's own right.
Bad comparison, and grossly oversimplified.
Sony and Microsoft essentially refreshed their console lines in the last 18 months or so, with both motion control systems, XBox's new form factor/SKU's, and PS3 with 3D.
All of these things cost money, and the next three years will be the time they spend trying to recoup that money. Nevermind all of the games currently under development.

Whatever the case I really wish they would have kept his look from Deadly Alliance, his costume has never looked better before or since. I don't think they should feel the need to drastically change the look of every character for each game. Sometimes one iconic design just works. Seems the more and more they revamp the character designs, the more cooky and convoluted they look.

Whether or not you agree with the verdict, you shouldn't shun a negative review just because it's negative. I read them together with the positive ones so I can get a more complete picture of what to expect. SOMETIMES they're right.
Case in point: MK4 got rave reviews when it was released, and personally I think that game is a disaster, and when the dust settled(initial excitement wears off), most agreed.

I wouldn't count on all of that, especially the price point.
You have to take into account that the industry is a competition amongst the three big players, and they all strive to outdo one another in some way, shape or form. With this in mind you can bet that all of them are going to push certain extremes, whether that be performance, graphics, motion controls, or whatever the case.

I beg to differ. Metal Gear Solid 3 was far and wide the best of the franchise, Zelda:ALTTP was also a sequel fav, and really I could go on and on.
I'd say this sentiment applies more to movies, sitcoms, and books more so than it does interactive media. I would argue that game sequels get it right more often than not.
I chalk this up to quaint feeling of nostalgia than anything else. Things usually seem to be more fond in memory than they were in reality....

Does Tetris have a storyline? Has the abysmal story line of Virtua Fighter ever detracted from it being one of the better fighters of the past decade? You decide.
The game looks fantastic, but this is a horrendous comparison. The lighting in each is too different, with variations in characters and scenery that make it impossible to gauge whether there has been much improvement, if any. Not entirely the site's fault, but something like this should be saved until the final copy is in their hands, so they can be certain to make an apples to apples comparison.

I'm not gonna lie, the game looks sick, but every single title since 4 has claimed to innovate in some way, shape or form. Needless to say, every game in the series since then has been a disaster.
I do have high hopes for this game, especially with the recent news about Kratos, but I'm not holding my breath until I get a demo at the very least. Here's to hoping that my old favorite franchise returns to glory.
And last years rumors pointed to a 2011 reveal...and the year before that...
I suppose if they keep spouting this nonsense the rumor mill will have to be right eventually. I've come to learn the VG rumor mill is full of crap more often than not.
