It looks very clean, which is the biggest improvement. But something even like Uncharted 2 has way more detail than this. It's actually very simplistic environments there, but done in a very clean way. Looks very good, but considering especially that this is just a tech demo, not all that amazing.

I will say that MS started off with a bang and are ending with a bang. But what did they have to do to get there lately? Sell off studios and let Bungie go who basically were the ones that got them there in the first place? MS is assuming that they can discard these kinds of studios and some how think they got to where they are themselves. It's actually going to be really interesting to see what they can launch with the XBOX 720. SOny just might blow them out of the water with titles when...

I know I'm just in one part of North America, but there are a crapload of 360s still on the shelves here, and a crapload of PS3s here. I know the 360 sold way more than the PS3 in North America in the holidays, but they aren't out of stock by any means at least in my area. Not even close. I think they know there will be a pretty big drop off in January (with all companies) and want to make it look like the hype is still 500%, but stock is only holding them back. Not true is my guess. ...

I don't think there are 12 amazing exclusives if you combine the PS3, Wii and 360 next year. For sure the PS3 has the most next year, but MS had maybe 3 and the Wii 1-2.

Amazing for me will be Gears 3, Uncharted 3 and so on. But I can't count 12 amazing exclusives at all for next year. Some good games, but only a handful (3-4) will be amazing.

Until they add more than 8 cars, it'll never feel like a real race. That's like playing soccer with 3 players on each side. In a real race, you don't have to just pass 7 cars if you are in last place. The challenge of a real race is being behind at least 15 cars that are populating the track. 8 cars just doesn't cut it any more.

Nothing wrong with Forza 4, but they are pumping them out too early without supporting the community with a load of DLC.

There is something to be said about waiting and releasing more if the other side will flood the show with stuff. It's the same reason IMO why Sony waited a bit to release GT5 after Kinect. It would have been lost in the hype of Kinect. Instead they waited a few weeks so it had at least a bit of it's own window.

Let's face it. This show is going to belong to Uncharted 3 and Sony. MS will probably release info when they don't have to compete with the next GotY...

This is enough to shut people up with the AI talk. Could be GT5 is better or could be Forza 3 is better. This video clearly shows that they are both close enough for it to not be an issue.

If that's a fail video, I have no idea what so many Forza crashes must be considered. That looked pretty good except for some extra flips at one part. I'm actually pretty impressed by that video compared to what I've seen with Forza 3.

But ESPN isn't getting any game you want. While I love ESPN, you're missing games from every sport. It's got good content, but it's limited. This NHL service is awesome if you care about a specific team and don't get to watch them on TV. I see maybe 5 Pittsburgh games a year. Now I can watch as many as I want. Huge difference. I can make sure I see every Crosby vs Ovechkin matchup.

I would much rather PSN build up content like this than picking a few chan...

Because a lot of people like you use their main TV to watch tv and movies. Not have kids prancing around when the parents are trying to relax. ;) Kinect is mostly for kids.

One tracks from your head to your toes and the other needs to track your arms. Isn't it obvious that Kinect needs more space on average? Do something very simple for me. Take a camera and have it zoomed out enough to have someone's arms extended out in the picture. Now have that same person back up until their body is completely in the frame. It's just not the same guys. Not by a long shot.

So one device needs to track arm movement, and the other needs to track from your head to your toes. I think it's pretty obvious which one needs more space more often. Also I find it funny that they don't mention the obvious issue of player height. Obviously a 5'7 person will need less space than a guy like me who is 6'3.

Let's face it. There are a lot more variables that can throw Kinect off than Move.

I get higher res images when I download PSP backgrounds. Come on guys. That's horrible.

Man, Sony should enable this kind of thing for in Home. Looks way better than 360 avatars or Wii avatars. Art style is great. Not too realistic but not preschool childish either like the others.

Looks insane, but I really wish you could edit the terrain. You're not going to be able to really edit the feel of it that much either. They're once again going to be buildings that work around the terrain. But this is the best feature in a shooter IMO on consoles.

While I think visuals carry too much weight to developers these days, it's obvious that his comments of his games looking amazing have become a joke so he has nothing left to back up his claims. He's thrown in the technical towel.

So MS nickels and dimes you for everything else like wifi, charge and play, Live, storage, but now wants you to add up the value of what is being offered? And yet they knocked the PS3 for the pricing despite it having the "value"? Talk about the shoe being on the other foot now. LOL

5732d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

So lag still is an issue. With a game like hurdles, they can allow you to "prejump" so to speak because it's predictable when you should do it. For a game where your movements could be random, it wouldn't allow you to jump before you're supposed to. How many months do they have left with this?

I do think that will look fun for a lot of moms and dads though. This might sell really well.

I agree with Peter on this, but he really can't talk based on his games. The visuals beyond art style of his games has always been a bit behind. Let's hear this from the Rage developer and I might listen.
