I actually think Sony will just wait for the PS4 for a revamped online. The Vita even has some better aspects than the PS3.
E3 for Sony the last years wasn't about winning a less than one week event. It was about giving exposure to a few select games for the first time during E3, but giving exclusive exposure to other titles in the weeks before the event as well. Had Sony waited a few months and revealed TLoU, Allstars, GoW:A along with what else they showed all just at E3, it easily would have had a bigger impact. People comparing Microsoft's equally to Sony shows the depth of Sony's offerings conside...
I play my ps3 a lot more than my 360, but that didn't stop Halo Reach being my game of the year when it came out. Visuals were more than good enough. Add a bit more polish to H4, and I'm set. It won't touch a game like Uncharted 3 visually, but it doesn't need to.
All sounds awesome. Yes please!
It's not needed, but when you see games like Uncharted 3 looking as good as it does plus offering 3D, it's really quite an achievement. But it's really a waste when they want the best looking visuals. I kind of wish Sony dropped 3D support and put even more visual power into games like Uncharted 3 and Killzone despite looking as good as they do. Same thing with GT5 being 1080p. Just do 720p and put more polish into it.
Samsung is killing Sony right now with their TVs, BR players, and so on. That's where Sony is really hurting. Add on to the cost of the PS3 when it launched at a loss, this has been a rough 5 years or so with Sony. They are behind in areas where they could have been further ahead. Mobile phones, iPod like devices, tablets...
This is going to come across as harsh and I will get nailed for this, but it just seems like some developers just weren't ready for this generation of gaming. His best work by far was on the last generation, and he didn't seem to care that much about making a next gen experience since the PS3 has been out. And it shows. He'll be better off working on hardware specs closer to the PS2 and that sort of thing. He just never made the appropriate transition. He's still back in 2004....
Graphics wise, I'm a happy camper. But.... I sure wish my Battlefield 3 had as many multiplayer players per match as the PC version. Actually 40 players would be perfect.
Are these games going to come out of thin air? You only need to look at what MS has done to their studios in the last 3 years to know what their priorities are. They've dumped really talented studios in favor of some smaller, cheap, Kinect quality studios. I remember 3-4 years back, people talking "Man, I bet Rare is working on Killer Instinct or a new Perfect Dark." What did MS put them to work to do? Avatars. Bungie is gone. There's no new Lost Odyssey. Gears is over it se...
I think we can agree that if you play Kinect enough, it was the year of the 360. Without Kinect? The 360 has THREE exclusives that were rated over 80% vs 6 for the PS3. ion
I wonder what people would say if the PS3 say entered the educational software market and sold say double the units because of it. I think that's what's happening here. For those defending Kinect as a way to play, let's have your gamer tags and see what Kinect games you've been spending a l...
You guys are missing the point. The voice stuff is great, but it does nothing that the previous xbox cam couldn't do. Its just a microphone part that's doing anything fast. Browsing from title to title is a pain. The whole point of Kinect is MOTION controls, and for navigating through say new releases, it's just plain not as fast. Sorry buds. :)
Anyone ever think that Kinect was actually a more useful remote than a controller is just living in lala land. It's way slower. The last thing I want to do is use my arms to make something move. Let's face it. Kinect for dashboard is all about voice commands that could be done on a $5 webcam microphone.
It's not just as simple as that. XBL IMO is a big reason why the 360 has done so well this gen. Add to it the early launch with the bigger install base in the US right from the start, and Sony had their hands full. Especially in the US and the UK. Everywhere else is not as strong.
Good for Notch. This game is about the USERS, and not people lucky enough to make advertising off of a game they did nothing to create...
If MS includes both a standard controller plus an updated version of the Kinect camera, PLUS they want to keep prices down, don't expect a huge leap in performance like the 360 was to the original Xbox. I get the feeling that Sony will have Move2 as an optional addon, and will have the power edge this next gen. MS have been given a much needed boost with Kinect, and more tied to it than Sony is with Move IMO. While Kinect has been a good product for MS, they'll really need to update i...
No way I would touch an Xbox with dual gpus. You think heat was an issue for MS this gen? This would be a baaaaad move for MS if they are aiming for reliability that isn't criminal. LOL
Pffft. Look at his PS3 review scores:

Then look at his 360 review scores:

I wonder if he likes the 360? LOL!

What's really revealing is that 2x as many UK indie developers are developing for PSN vs XBLA. And that's in an Xbox stronghold. That speaks volumes to a bigger problem there.
Gamespot 8.0 score and Eurogamer score of 7.5 confirmed then. lol
Hmmmmmm..... I wonder if the PS4 will have PS+ have the beefed up versions of games. That tagline better with Kinect will be trumped with "better with PS+". They could always have the better version of games. But I would put that edge on plus and make it something they can make more money off of.
