That's what the article is saying... LOL. If you read it, you would have read that the author says the content is a great move for MS. The only point they were trying to make is that the place where most people will be buying GTA4, most retailers will probably be promoting it the way MS would hope. They also said the 360 version was the ultimate version for GTA fans.
Man, you got to read the thing before commenting on it. LOL
I don't think the article is saying the content is trash or great, worth it or not for the gamer or MS at all. What they are saying is that it's not really worth it for stores at all to push the 360 version. It might even be a better idea to push the PS3 version.
Oh good. It's apparently an official review, so we have to take their word for it. I mean look at the awesome quality of the site. They have these amazing sponsors, unlike these other cheap sites that use Google Adsense everywhere and look for cheap hits... LOL
Who are the morons who approved this article?
IGN, GameSpy, Eurogamer, Gamepsot, GamePro, 1UP, Crispy Gamer?
Crispy Gamer? LOL
Either they have someone on their site with some sick cred in the industry, or this is total BS, or one of the editors is marrying one of Kojima's sisters.
The future is also in gasless cars, but there isn't the infrastructure to support that shift yet either.
MS shot themselves in the foot when it comes to affordable, viable storage media for this HD content. Most 360s have 13gb of free space, and to upgrade, you'll have to spend $180 for what? 160gbs? Enough for less than 10 HD movies?
The future IS digital downloads, but that future is at least 7-8 years away. Until MS can offer a 2tb HD for the 360, people aren't ...
If Rockstar has balls, they'll integrate these extensions into Home. My guess is they won't though. MS has put too much money into making GTA4 better on the 360.
Only thing really amazing about what I saw here was art direction, ideas for the world, and how the heck will they make this into a game? It's like visuals with a "Median" Photoshop filter applied. I don't know why, but I almost feel like there is some direction here from Team ICO or something.
Would love to see this turn into a game some how. The world looks so cool. I want to know more. :)
You just won't mistake a Racedriver screen as real compared to GT5:P, which is the real test. Not saying Racedriver looks fake, but it's just missing something. GT5:P for sure, but who knows. Maybe the most fun will come out of RaceDriver.
So this guy is saying that MS is in the best position for downloads, and yet their major SKU offers 13gb of free space on the HD and a BR disc holds 25-50gbs... LOL Not only, that, the lowest SKU on the PS3 more than doubles the space of the 360 main SKU. Add to the fact that they sell a 360 that can't hold one movie download..... DUHHHH.... LOL
Is a console bricking news? No. Is one of the consoles that MS is using as PR and showing off stuff bricking news? Yes, when it's obvious that MS is still having problems even with the new hardware, and has had a record failure rate for any kind of hardware that hasn't been recalled.
This isn't earth shattering news, but it is a good representation of the problems MS has been having, and it happens to be in the spotlight because even MSs 360s at the show have more problems than ...
Don't you guys think this game looks totally stiff? Look at the stiff slow animations. NG2 and Heavenly Sword move so much better than this. Seems like yet another stiff animated, choppy UE3 game with shiny graphics and great lighting. I like the idea of the game, but the stiffness and boring looking combat on top of so so frame rates really bog this game down. Bring on NG2 and Heavenly Sword 2. Both will sweep the floor with this title.

So MS sells 294k last year in January, and stocks like 230k the next year and THAT's why they didn't sell more? So MS is actually saying that their business practice is to assume they will sell way less at the same time the next year and give the retailers far less stock than they sold?
Come on MS. People didn't buy as many this time around because there weren't as many people wanting to buy them this January. You don't stock way less than before and then say they were shocked ...
Who are the brain dead people approving this half assed written article? I mean there are spelling mistakes, run on sentences.... Here's just one sentence....
"I first bought the Xbox to play games like Madden Football and Metal Gear but once the came out with the first Halo I was really hooked so needless to say when the new Xbox 360 came out it was a must have video game system for me."
Come on guys. This is pathetic news. Anyone could have written th...
Sigh.... I swear, some of you read only 1 in ever 5 words or something. It's 110K advantage in 1 WEEK, not month. So what ever increases you were figuring in your head, multiply them by about 4. LOL!
At that pace (assuming the PS3 doesn't sell even more over that), the PS3 will have gained 6.16 million units on the 360 lead. Do the math.
Not to mention that the 360 has played it's strongest cards from last gen in Halo, PGR, and Sony has not with MGS, FF, GT, Gof...
LOL! So these companies said they would wait and see sales during the holidays... So BR wins like 69 to 31, and these companies decide to go HD DVD until they get bribed to choose the by far most popular format during the holidays? Talk about a sour grapes story. BR won the support because of sales, plain and simple.
LOL! My grandson is the smartest boy. How do I know this? Because the whole family thinks so.

Man, this sounds like 90% of the devs out there with their games. Almost everyone believes in their game. They are so close to it, they can't be objective. I mean we were hearing the same things with the devs from Lair over and over again. How people can't put the controller down and that sort of thing.
"Why is your game good?"
...
The issue is this. In game "dynamic" advertising that is constantly changing and being served up to you as a gamer is taking away bandwidth. Well at least MS uses dedicated servers for their games.... Not!
So basically, you pay $10 for an old game that took almost zero $ to develop, make MORE money off of advertising, and then steal the users bandwidth during play time, and then give away info to Visa, Sears, Circuit City, Chapters..... Not cool at all.
What a horrible source. So someone finds one small retailer and makes it news?
I love how some people view US sales as Worldwide sales, when Sony and MS actually are about equal in sales worldwide. The PS3 gained on the 360 150k just in Japan alone. That's not even factoring in Europe, where it's believed they are outselling the 360 there as well.
After watching it a few more times, I think it will be in game. Look at the ship he's on. Not exactly CGI quality there. Same with the buildings. Not knocking, but just pointing out a few things that make me believe this could be what we'll see overhead while we play, which would be amazing. I remember in Halo 3 a ship flying over. This murders it.
