I really do like the fullscreen photos on Facebook on the 360, but that's where it ends. Virtual keyboards + cut down features = what's the point? We all have it free on the PC with all features, and a load of us by now even have it on our cell phones with more features... What's the point? And last I heard, LastFM didn't allow you to stream outside of the app. People are making these features into way too big features. ZuneHD with instant streaming is a lot more of a feature than cutdown PC ...
Any touch screen controls basically kill any potential the iPhone or Android phones for games that I would care about. Controls are horrible. This is like saying they have a car with a 300 HP engine, but they have it mounted on bicycle tires. It's pointless for gaming. Even games like Bejeweled suck on the iPhone over versions with at least a few real buttons.

Not only are they saving money on the slim model now purchase price... They're also saving a LOT of energy costs as well with the slim getting more energy efficient. Imagine 2200 PS3s and the power they could consume. That extra energy savings with the slims now is huge.
Guys.... Don't be at all surprised if cross game chat becomes premium, some demos come sooner for Member$, and so on. As long as they don't touch free online though, I couldn't care less. That's all I really need.

This is more of taking away from MS than anything. It's a checklist that MS wanted to advertise as exclusive. Now it looks like with Netflix and this coming to the PS3, they won't be able to really brag about those features that most gamers won't care about anyways.
Why do they say the PC and 360 are equal for community features? It's not like PC users even care about Live on the PC. And a console that is going to be supporting MAG, supports Resistance 2, and Free Realms can't support some tiny co op? Come on now... I do think the 360 seems better tooled for community, but not the PC.
But long live releasing L4D 1.25 like they are doing with 2.We all know it's a quick money grab.
360 gamers need a game like that to fill their time a bit more than PS3 owners who are still playing Uncharted 2 IMO.
This generation of gamers have really made the industry go down hill. Too many PS3 owners sending the message to Sony that their pricing was worth it at $500. Too many 360 gamers with multiply brickings saying over and over that it's worth it. Too many gamers saying that a 4-6 hour campaign is fine in ODST. Too many gamers saying Live could be $100. If true, it's amazing because users can create real life tracks that weren't included. But I'm not holding this as true until confirmed. I'm leaning towards not true though.
But imagine users creating the real tracks. Of course they wouldn't have the exact dimensions, elevation, and so on, but the main feel of tracks could be replicated. This would be the ultimate game changer.
Style wise, I hate them. Where they placed them though and how they are used? Very good. I wish Sony would at least allow Home Avatars to show up on the XMB. Just the head or something in the top corner. Click on the avatar head, and launch straight into Home.
MS wants the world to just look at the US numbers because they know they can no longer compete elsewhere. My guess is MS does have a chance to sell a bit more during the holiday period in the US, but not by much. But MS will focus all of their spin to just the US and take the spotlight away from the fact that the PS3 most likely will start consistently outselling it overall worldwide.

For the lazy, the article actually says nothing about ND thinking they are superior. It just says because they can blend animation together on the fly in real time, they don't have to create the gazillion unique animation frames they would have had to have done.

As if Halo fans weren't disappointed by ODST having virtually the same rehashes MP maps and basically the same engine. Look at Lives latest stats. People have gone back to playing just Halo 3 and not ODST.
