PS4. Nothing during the entire 360s lifetime can touch TLoU and Journey for me. Sony offers such an awesome range of games each generation. On the PS2 it was SotC and ICO for me, and again, nothing on the Xbox touched those games for me.

It's a no brainer. If a tiny phone can do it, why can't a huge console with a camera and mic? Also you have Samsung using face tracking that pauses the movie when you look away on the Galaxy S4.

Show me at least one game right now that makes me want to run out and have to have Kinect 2. There just isn't one right now. I don't care about potential until it starts being reached. Until then, it's all just talk.

I'm not at all saying Kinect 2 won't be great. But with the way it's currently implemented with current games, I'm just not sold.... yet.... ;)Blow me away Microsoft. Just don't wait too long to do it.

Not saying it's going to happen, but it does make you wonder who would buy the Xbox brand. Some companies would be tripping over eachother to buy the Xbox brand. Someone like Samsung would probably be all over this. Apple could also enter the picture.

Again though, I doubt they would sell Xbox. It's one of the things that is doing well. Although they sure did stumble with the X1 announcements.

If true, this is badddd for the X1. But since when is VGCharts reliable? What are their sources?

If Sony is doing this on Microsoft's turf though, I can't imagine the rest of the world. The UK should be a bit better for the PS4 than this, and the rest of the world will offering a wayyyy bigger gap than this.

Titanfall is further away, but a game like Forza 5 being so low is a really bad sign for Microsoft.

Again though, since when...

If any fanboy is expecting the PS4 or X1 to release and be vastly inferior to the other, have no good games, or just plain suck, they are going to be disappointed. While I don't want to spend $499 and am not excited about Kinect, I still can recognize both consoles should be a blast to play and offer some great games. I just get the feeling that each side is hoping and expecting that one will kill the other outright. Both consoles are good enough to do very well and offer a lot of enterta...

Either way, it's one or the other:

1) Microsoft is having yield problems

2) Microsoft are not as prepared to launch as Sony with the PS4 in other territories because they ran out of time to create localized versions of their console.

Either way, it's a delay. This makes me think Microsoft is rushing out a product again if they haven't even had time to localize their product in these other areas.

It doesn't ma...

I think what makes the PS4 controller with the touchpad great is that they aren't reinventing the wheel. They aren't asking you to put down the controller for some activities and picking it up for another like Kinect. There is no calibration each time someone new wants to play. It's all at your fingertips without changing your device. There's no having to tell a new player if they need to put a controller down or not. It's simple and straight forward.

The...

Unless Microsoft drops Kinect to get the price down to $399, they will not beat Sony this gen. When the X1 drops to say $449, the PS4 will drop to $349, and Sony will have entered another price point the X1 can't touch. X1 finally reaching $399 means the PS4 will be $299, breaking another pricepoint that will really boost sales. $500 won't stop die hard fans from buying the X1, but it's going to stop a lot of parents from buying it for their kids.

That's just nuts. My defining moment on the PS2 was ICO and SotC. On the PS3, it's been the work from Naughty Dog. Exclusives are everything for me the last 2 generations and will continue this next generation for sure it looks like.

You know Kinect 2 probably isn't all that when a game like Ryse that was built for Kinect 1 opted for a standard controller instead of Kinect 2. Here's a game that should have easily worked for Kinect 2 based on what we've heard from Microsoft, and yet they didn't use it. It's basically a QTE triggered game that could have showcased Kinect 2, and they skipped it. Why is that? Or are we getting Kinect 1.2 or something?

If I'm going to spend $100 more o...

Looks great to me. I preferred the size of the 360 controller over the PS3 one. This one looks to improve on an already pretty rock solid controller.

Microsoft's launch lineup is not one of their problems right now. Having Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, and a few others should keep gamers busy for a while. :)

I don't like the 180s they've done. The price is higher. Kinect isn't for everyone. But their launch lineup is good for a launch IMO.

I liked the 360 controller a lot more than the PS3 controller, but played mostly on the PS3 this gen. I'm so glad they upped the size of the PS4 controller. Now both controllers look awesome. :)

Anyone else thinking a Forza 5 bundle would have felt like a more impressive bundle considering it's only on the X1? They also could have boasted Forza 5 sales a bit later on. ;) Fifa being included just makes it too easy to see the PS4 difference.

What they need to do then is show face scanning with Kinect with making a player in Fifa and make that the amazing feature of that bundle.

If Sony takes away market share this next gen, that's not good enough for a huge company like Microsoft. We talk about 80 million console users and act like that's a lot of users. Well Windows 7 has 700+ million plus users. Investors like the Xbox doing well, but would trade that easily to have Windows 8 take over tablets and mobile to compete with Apple and Android. That is their main focus, and seriously risk losing in the tablet and mobile markets. Not to mention an already eroding...

Totally agree. This killed parts of Killzone 2 for me. I would eat up a video playthrough of an area, eating up all the details. But as I played it for myself, I had already felt like I had been to areas. I felt a bit robbed.

It goes the other way as well. Microsoft sets the final price, and can jack it up higher than the price the developer would have wanted to sell it at.

My main problem and the problem a lot of developers will have with this will be the price the developer wants to offer the game at for the consumers. If a developer wants a consumer to be able to get the game at $5 to get more sales and Microsoft wants all games to be $10, that's tough for the developer period.

Can't blame anyone for getting an X1. It's going to be great. I just think more gamers right now are in the PS4 camp, and sales will show that. Nothing wrong with those great launch games on the X1 though. It's just that none of them really catch my attention as much as what I expect from Naughty Dog and Santa Monica this next gen. Forza looks great, and Halo 5 will be awesome, but a game like The Last of Us makes me more loyal to a console that is $100 cheaper and has had the sam...
