I have already played most of the indie games on PC/X360 so I don't need to replay them on PS4... I also buy all multi-platform games on Xbox because I like the achievement system and XBL service more than trophies/PSN (Personal taste not fanboyism).
So, on day one I bought KZ, Knack, and Resogun. Resogun is awesome and I spent about 12 hours Saturday at it, KZ wasn't as good as previous iterations but I clocked about 10 hours Friday (campaign and some multi-player),...
I can't wait... I'm done with the PS4 launch games that I wanted to play...
On to X1!
I used to buy music, video, and all games physical.
One day, physical purchases will disappear. It might not be this gen or next gen but eventually they will disappear.
To date, I haven't had much problem with digital. DRM is not a concern to me because I do not pirate or trade my games in.
Also, games are becoming more server dependent even for the single player modes. So, companies are getting external control anyhow.
I doubt all of these games will ship in 2014...
We will be lucky to see half of them.
I'm not sure I agree here. To me, the PS4 should be packaged in a box for shipping. It is well known that secondary packaging is not high quality from any distributor/shipper.
I played the first KuF on X360...
I won't be buying the new one until reviews put it at decent standing.
I have my PS4...
But, these reasons were not the reasons I bought it...
My 5 reasons...
1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 = Games
My 5 reasons that next week I am picking up my X1 pre-order...
1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 = Games
Coincidently my reasons for buying both consoles are the same...
As for Yoshi's reasons...
1) I don't care as long as the games are great to play.
Although it is concerning that Amazon has halted sales (and apparently Sony is looking into it and halted production)...
I don't think there is massive reason for alarm...
Mine has worked fine for the first day and a half...
If there is an issue and Sony wants my console back for repair I am fine with that... What would be an issue is if mine dies and Sony tells me too bad...
The only minor issue stated is the lack of external HDD support.
Every thing else is a comparison to the PS4 or just lame (come on.... sold out is a problem).
I buy a console for five reasons...
1) Games
2) Games
3) Games
4) Games
5) Games
That really shouldn't matter.
Sony stated how many PS3's they intended to sell in the first year long ago... They should know what the traffic would've been and planned for it.
It is not like they thought nobody would buy their 50 gb games.
DCUO I will check out... But DCUO was not my favourite IP on my PS3.
Warframe, War Thunder, Planetside 2... I have them on PC...
Not buying console versions of stuff I have already played...
Whatever happened to quality is job #1 for Sony? DriveClub delayed because they wanted to polish it... Why not Knack?
Scoring 7's is not what I would be looking for in a game release.
I'm not sure if hardware scoring high on repairability is a good or bad thing...
I hate articles like this... I could see if after a few weeks this is a massive trend...
But on day one people? Grow up...
Delayed????
This just makes marketing sense... All the hype this week has been PS4. Next week belongs to X1...
That is just smart...
From what I have bought so far... Resogun, KZ, and Knack... Resogun is definitely worth it, KZ is ok (but is the worst game of the IP [That doesn't make it bad...]). And I was bored with Knack after about 45 mins.
So really I bought my PS4 for Resogun and KZ...
Xbox posted a congratulations to Sony for their launch, Sony jabs at Kinect...
This guy makes sony look like fools.
Depends if you can afford both consoles...
I can and get the best of both worlds. I feel empathy towards true gamers who do not want to choose sides but cannot afford both consoles...
Binary domain was a pretty good B 3rd person shooter... I would advise people pick this up!
