Horizon was awesome as well. In fact, Horizon was a nice change from track racing simulators for Forza.
They were both positioned for a 2013 release.
MS switched almost all their first party development to X1 at the end of holiday 2011. Their only large first party release in 2012 was Halo 4 (Gears Judgement was a secondary studio, Forza Horizon was not Turn 10). So I don't see how that is rushing to market given that MS switched devt two years ago.
I think that MS is being more ambitious in the number of changes they are making then Sony. Sony shifted...

I have seen the videos and games on both consoles look amazing. Is one better than the other? OK... But the vast majority of gamers won't even notice. 90% of gamers won't even know what the games look like on the other console.

KZ is the best looking game on PS4... Ryse is the best looking game on X1.
In most fighting games, and games like god of war, etc. you have to press a specific sequence of buttons in a specific scenario to trigger a proper finishing move.
Ryse is no different except it "halos" those buttons onto the screen so you can see and do the sequence. Even God of War does this all throughout the game.
If you do not do the sequence you simply don't get the finisher. Unlike real QTE games like Asura's Wrath where you actuall...
There are probably several factors here.
First, Respawn is new studio and probably could not viably self-fund this project. If MS offered to help fund the project then that probably helped Respawn go exclusive in return.
Also, last gen MS had a signed deal with Bioware for 3 Mass Effect exclusives. After EA took over Bioware they probably approached MS and said they wanted Mass Effect to be multi-platform. MS probably pointed at the contract and said, &q...

I don't see what's wrong with either version. They both look like play and look awesome.
If these are going to be the differences this gen then gamers from both consoles will enjoy their purchases.

Neither console is a huge leap over the previous generation. But, they are still worth picking up if you have the cash.
Surprising that EA would do that, but in gaming, anything can happen...

EA cannot lie to investors especially on a quarterly conference call. If they say it is staying exclusive, it will stay exclusive.

Nice to see MS continues to support X360 and nice to see there is additional games coming out in the launch windows for X1...

Both Sony and Microsoft are in the final sprint to the finish. There are issues I am sure on both sides.

Sony has been cocky and obnoxious lately. How quickly they forget their beating last gen... Going from 150 million console sales in 5 years to 80 million in 7 years.
