Although I don't disagree, many people don't purchase based on price... There are other factors...

I have both consoles as well...

But, the console I primarily purchase on is X1... Because...

- Xbox Live has proven to be more stable for me.
- I am still concerned about security of PSN
- My kids love dance games and Kinect is the best at them.
- I like MS' vision for X1. I see PS4 as just a gaming device ...

Finally, a decently good review about this game...

It deserves more than the 50's it has seen by many reviewers...

Between 70-80 is about right for this game... Not brilliant, but definitely not junk either.

I don't think this is going to happen, and if it did, someone would buy them out in no time.

Sony has a lot of very valuable patents in electronics and IPs in gaming/movies.

No one has anything to fear by buying Sony products.

I am with Square on this one... I think their reasoning is not honest though...

Essentially, the release last year did not meet sales expectations. Therefore, Square is charging full price to offset what they expected from last year's Tomb Raider sales...

Seriously, this game is worth $60. And if you didn't buy the release last year I would recommend you go pay the price because this was a really good game. If you did buy it last year I can unders...

Yes, people would be flipping off the wall, because it is clear that Sony does not have a strong OS team. They took FreeBSD and heavily modified it for their needs.

If the article said MS has the best electronics hardware people in the world I would expect Sony fans to be flipping off the wall too.

MS has a competent hardware team, but nowhere near the competencies of Sony.

But, the article said neither. It simply stated something that is a...

For me, these three titles have been solid...

Forza 5 is a solid entry for the Forza franchise and the graphics are stunning. And its application of the drivatar through the cloud is very cool.

Deadrising 3 shows how X1 can really handle a lot happening on the screen at once. No Zombie game has put that many Zombies on screen at once...

Ryse. The graphics in Ryse are second to none. And the gameplay is good... Not great, but good. I fou...

They can manage it, but the reality is that when there is not enough memory developers need to use hard drives for memory instead.

As models and game engines become more and more complex memory requirements shoot through the roof. I am sure most developers would've like to have seen 16 GB memory as a minimum.

All this will really mean at the end of the day is how much of a increment games are able to achieve over the previous generation... The more memo...

Sales arguments are simply fanboy chest beating exercises...

Both are doing good. That's all that really matters...

MS is simply applying a different business model then Sony...

Was Gears of War any less exclusive on 360 then Resistance? Both were shooters... Both were AAA titles... Arguably Gears did much better though. And got better ratings.

When did I say you can Skype and play? Not everything I said was in a gaming context.

Skype just rocks... It is the number 1 personal video and audio conferencing technology worldwide. No one can deny that.

@IRetrouk...

That sounds exactly like the PS3 argument last gen. People questioned Sony's hardware architecture and multi-plat games were generally inferior to X360 for the first few years.

Maybe we are witnessing the same this gen... Nobody knows for certain yet.

2 of 5 games are exclusives... Lame...

We want exclusives...

The Order, Unchartered, Drive Club, then inFamous and Rime...

These arguments are lame. Thief is shipping on PS3 and 360 as well. Although the graphics are not equal to next gen consoles on these platforms the gameplay will be equally as good.

Therefore, did the next gen consoles help them fulfill their vision? Or are the games just marginally better on next gen consoles?

I guarantee this game only gets a metascore below or just above 80.

Take one look at Ryse or Forza 5 and you know the X1 hardware is next gen. Use Skype, snap, HDMI input/passthru, fast-switching, and game DVR and you will feel nextgen.

Whining aside about 1080p vs 900p and 60 fps vs. 30fps... When you look at the Ryse and Forza games in action, you know none of the previous generation of consoles can do that. Also, in DR3 seeing literally hundreds of zombies on screen at once makes it feel next gen because there is no way you could do tha...

I agree that reviewers should pay for the games... It would get rid of the pathetic amateurs that call themselves "reviewers" and "journalists" and it would add the kind of objectivity to reviews you can't get with the current free copy system...

I have both and it this topic is really about personal preference. Both controllers are steps forward on their given platform.

These are the things I have noticed so far in each controller. DS4 is light just like PS3 controller, the X1 controller fixes the d-pad issues the 360 controller had, the X1 trigger feedback on the X1 controller is awesome (especially in Forza 5). I have found the touch area of the PS4 to be a gimmick so far though. I have yet to use it.

I am not concerned about sequel or new IPs...

I just want great games!

If they have to invent a new IP to make a great game then I am fine, if they can build another great game with an existing IP I am fine as well.

Agreed... It is one thing to have a game with zombies in it...

It is yet another thing to render 1,000's of zombies on screen at once, have each one be visually unique and have totally different gameplay focuses.
