Frame rates are only significantly noticeable below a the 30 fps threshold. If you put two games side by side at 30 and 60 fps per second you don't see any significant difference. But as soon as the frame rate drops below significantly below 30, you really see the difference as the graphics stutter.
The same can be said for 1080p vs. 720p but based on TV size... On a TV 50 inches and lower there is really no noticeable difference. Above 50" you start to see more j...
I got both consoles so it doesn't matter.
I just want great games! On both consoles this is possible.
Why can't we see a positive headline? I read the article and would've put the headline as, "Next gen consoles off to solid start heading for 10 million sold".
Instead, dualshockers as the name of the site implies sensationalizes the headline by saying sony is doing good, ms is down, and the generation should sell 10 million for march ends. Thought factually correct, I don't think that was Peter's theme. His theme: Both consoles have good attach r...
Its only an issue if they sell less than 12 copies of the game!
Also, gamers cry about every game needing to be 60 fps at 1080p...
Then, they want to play old blocky and poorly detailed games from the PS1 and PS2 at 640 x 480 and less than 30 fps...
That's because Kim told his people to go buy a PS4... That's the way it works in North Korea...
Kims says, North Koreans do... Or they go to labor camps... Would you rather buy a PS4 or do 15 years hard labor?

This is simply a good business model...
Fund the development of a new IP through a 3rd party partner know for great games. Build the IP into a AAA franchise with the 3rd party. Give them a ton of money and internalize the evolution and development of the franchise going forward.
Everyone wins... Epic gets a boat load of money, MS retains the exclusivity of the franchise. Xbox gamers get further assurance that MS is standing behind...
People Can Fly is owned by Epic.
And Mark Rein also chimed in on the announcement tweet...
So, it could be Gears...
Patcher is an idiot and every time he opens his mouth someone should stuff it full of dynamite.
So some random sourceless guy on NeoGaf messages this guy a comment after he does a post on CoD and it becomes a news story on this site....
F---ing awesome...
5 of the 6 games are multi-platform...
infamous will be solid... I wasn't much of a fan of it last gen but it looks great this gen...
But we all know the most anticipated game for the next few months doesn't appear on that list... Where is:
TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFALL! TITANFAL...
I played Call of Duty Ghosts on X1 and PS4...
The games played and seemed exactly the same on both platforms.
When you are 10-15 feet away from a 60 inch TV, the differences are zero.
It is not a gimmick when you switch between games you often forget what the buttons do. This is more helpful then having to review the control scheme in the menus every time you pick up a game you haven't played in weeks or months.
Also, for new games it would be easier since it seems almost no one gives manuals with the control schemes anymore.
OK. You were fine until you talked about the low noise of the PS4...
I have both side by side on top of a table in open space for free air flow. The X1 is only very slightly noisier when both machines are idol.
But the PS4 fan really kicks in when the machine starts any sort of significant workload on Blu-ray playback or gaming. The X1 fan never kicks in for Blu-ray playback and only once and a while kicks in for gaming.
At first I set bot...
Reminds me of PS3 last gen... Sony was combining PS2 and PS3 sales to say "PlayStation is the best selling console brand"...
MS is just doing the same thing to make their sales look good...
You have to really like marketing... They come up with all the options to make things look better than they really are!
Day one purchase for me. Don't give a crap about the price tag. Tomb Raider was worth the price and playing it again with improved visuals would be worth it again.
Square entertained me with a great Tomb Raider game last year. Just like a really good movie, I am going back to the theatre to see it again at full price.
Everyone has the right to do what they want.
That's my opinion and I am sticking to it...
Yes, when the patch started the game took 24 gb... It still only takes 24 gb on my X1.
Also, I would assume MS' reserved HDD space probably is where the temp files were downloaded to...
For me:
Batman Arkham Origins
Killzone Shadowfall
Fuse
Fast and Furious Showdown
Defiance
Aliens Colonial Marines
Anarchy Reigns
Dead Space 3
Honestly, I don't care about that... Devts should ship well tested and working software. I don't care what platform or game. It should be 99.9% working properly when I get it...
Any update to a game above 5% of the original game size is not a minor update. Why should I pay $60 or more on day one experiencing bugs and issues, when I can buy it 6 months later for $20-30 and the game is completely working?
NOTE: The only bug I have experienced in m...
Cable integration makes no difference in the gaming experience. I do not have mine connected to cable and everything else works just fine.
