Exactly this. I just want it to be more of what borderlands 2 is. Looter shooters that are GaaS are honestly so stale feeling now and feel shallow and soulless. That's something borderlands definitely needs to stay away from.
Yeah honestly I want to be hyped about this game, but just the fact that it's open world has me hesitant about it. I love most of the PS4 exclusives and have bought them all day 1, unfortunately this one might be the first I don't pick up, at least right away.
Yeah I believe it's the same Reddit user name. He has that games systems down to a science at this point.
Totally agree with you there. FFXV was by far the weakest entry in the series imo. Terrible and absolutely incomplete story, very repetitive open world-esque side stuff, and the most boring combat system to date. Graphics were the only thing going for the game at launch.
Unfortunately Dragon Quest gets the short end of the stick as far as marketing and advertising from Square. It's like they have a passive aggressive attitude towards it since that series used to be the...
Man, and it got found out by the same guy that did the extensive study and post about the loot not mattering as much as they want you to think it does. EA is liable to take a hit out on this guy lol.
Ugh...kinda fitting that the developers name is "The Worst".
Nope they got dropped.
How aren't they one of a kind? Borderlands 2 stands the test of time and still holds up very well today. Kinda curious what you consider to be a great game, past or present.
Man, sorry to hear you didn't play brotherhood. It's arguably the best in the series. It was my personal favorite of that era.
But yeah, AC3 did a few cool things, but it did alot more lackluster and boring things that really held it back.
I'm an avid Sony fan but all I felt after that show was disappointment. Still hyped about the big 3 on the way, but I can't help but hope there's a few others on the way, or this will be a dry summer for games.
Definitely mine so far. Haven't played Sekiro yet but DMC has always been one of my favorite series and this one is a great addition to it!
Seriously Capcom has such a huge library of franchises they could revive this gen and any would be well received. I'd personally love to see Mega Man Legends, Dino Crisis, Onimusha, Breath of Fire, Godhand, and for the love of god I want a Dragon's Dogma 2.
No kidding. I feel like I'm the only one that loved the GoW Ascension mp. It was so fun and unique at the time and it sucks that nothing like it has come down the pipe since. Me and a friend played countless hours in it back in the day. Too many people wrote it off as just another tacked on multiplayer mode and never gave it a proper chance I think.
I know it probably won't happen because I think sales weren't great but I'd be hyped about a new Evil Within.
Lol is anyone actually excited about anything Bethesda has to show at this point?
Square holds the record for ridiculous development time and releasing unfinished products more than anything. FFXIV only took a complete overhaul and a few expansions to get to where it was enjoyable. FFXV has one of the worst stories in the series, along with the most boring gameplay. On top of that, there were huge gaps in the story at launch until dlc arrived.
KH3 is a good release for them mostly but I wouldn't say the gameplay is above average. Nier Automata was d...
Considering Square's track record this gen, I'd rather just see news that it got handed off to another developer. Maybe Platinum or Capcom if Disney lets them have creative freedom.
Capcom has completely dominated so far this year with the RE2 remake and now DMC5 in the short single player game market. Both are top notch quality with amazing replay value.
@gammaray
Beating DMC5 is simple, I never said it wasn't. But getting the platinum is far from easy, unless you think any idiot can get through one hit death mode with all S ranks on every mission is easy. Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 trophy lists were pretty easy in comparison.
I think the Mass Effect trilogy has been on the top of my list for remasters this whole gen. Hell at this point it's probably the only thing left that hasn't been remastered that needs to be.
