I honestly can't remember a year where there hasn't been at least a handful of better than average single player games... It's hard to make a comeback if they never left.
Some decent exclusives got added?? That'd be the only "quality of life changes" it needs tbh.
I think he meant the year 2019 more as how far we are into this current gen, more than just literally games that have come out so far this year lol. Not much has released so far this year as far as open world games go.
It is a double edged sword in a way. It's free so you can't fault them for giving you a huge game with a ton of content for nothing, but after some time invested it becomes a huge grind where you have to sink countless hours doing very repetitive things or pay real money to advance. It's all about the gameplay loop and how many people they can get hooked on it.
I played Warframe for a bit, probably a hundred or so hours back before all the big updates they had i...
Seriously how does a new article crying about the exact same thing pop up every single day about this? It shouldn't even be getting approved at this point as it's not a relevant or new topic anymore.
That's exactly how I felt about the game. The pacing in it was horrible and the story was a mess. I loved the first in the reboot series, and Rise was alright, but Shadow was easily the worst by far.
Yeah, the steady stream of articles trying to justify why there needs to be an easy mode added really is obnoxious. If FromSoft felt so inclined, they should add a crybaby mode where the enemies all run away crying at the sight of you or they die instantly when they attack you. Disable trophies or achievements in it and just make it so stupid easy that it's more unenjoyable for the people begging for it than the game currently is because it's too hard.
I can't say whether it'll be cut content from what was supposed to be in the initial release or not for this one, but the season pass dlc for 1 and 2 didn't feel like they were. Both previous installments were very complete experiences without any dlc, the added content did just that for them... Added a ton more content to already meaty games.
Christ, why is this such a big topic? The game is hard, get good or get over it. Developers don't have to cater to every plea or complaint people come up with. Most people know what they're getting into when they play a FromSoft game. This one just doesn't let people get carried by co op. It's still not ridiculously hard once you get used to the gameplay.
I'd hate to see how many complaints about difficulty there would be if social media existed during ...
130 seems a little excessive lol but ok! It's great this game finally officially surfaced.
Immortal Unchained, Lords of the Fallen and the Surge you like better than Nioh?! I mean, I can get the appeal for Salt and Sanctuary, but I dunno about the others lol. I respect your opinion, I just feel Nioh was alot better done in pretty much every way. Gameplay, level design, graphics and even the loot is all pretty top notch.
Another souls like 2d game that didn't make the list was Death's Gambit. It doesn't have the same charm as Salt and Sanctuary, but h...
You're in for a treat when you play Nioh. It's number 1 on this list for a reason, and I'd say it beats its competition by miles.
Damn, Someone is trying hard to rake in some commission money today lol.
What's with all this Microsoft fake news today?
Hey comicsverse, March has 31 days... April 1st is tomorrow.
@Vasto
How is it not the end of the gen for xbone? No sooner does the One X finally get a little steam going with some actual differences in performance on third party games between it and the pro, and they announce a new console in development. They start the ridiculous payment program on the One S and X's with financing based on their full price, then they lower the price of the console a few months later lol. Like they were trying to squeeze as much out of the later adopters a...
You know more genres of games come from Japan than just jrpgs right?
Until they actually get a game engine that isn't 2 generations behind, this type of "quality" will be their standard. Hell even when they do upgrade, their games will still be behind the other developers who have been doing open world and current gen mechanics and physics forgot years already. Bethesda simply didn't evolve with the times and it's getting more and more obvious.
Yeah just look at how well those first party games turned out probably in part due to game pass. Quality has definitely been sub par on the majority of them because Microsoft just boasts about player count rather than sales. I mean if you're paying for a sub fee, of course you'll try the new games added.
Has anyone played this game all the way through? I was actually on the fence about picking it up even after the terrible reviews but ended up just working on my backlog instead. Still curious if this game is actually as bad as the critics say.
