What about Devil May Cry 3? Miles better than 2 for sure lol. And a huge improvement on part 1 :D Man I miss when Capcom was good.
Zone of the Enders 2 was a huge step up from 1 as well.
This gen I'd say the biggest one that comes to mind that isn't Uncharted 2 would be Assassin's Creed 2.
I'll admit the stories in the Uncharted series aren't anything that haven't been done before in movies and other games. But Uncharted shines in how well the characters are portrayed and how they interact with each other. It's pretty rare for games to have characters with so much personality and to feel as human as they do in Uncharted.
It's multiplatform >.> lol and honestly the game is pretty mediocre if you're not a fan of Platinum games. And even then, I wouldn't say it's great. The $30 price is very redeeming though.
@Kos-Mos, I don't quite get what you're asking. Are you trying to say the games you named are all bad?
Trolling for hits by making negative articles about 2012's most popular games. Next article will be about Borderlands 2 or Journey lol.
You sounded almost unbiased until you said it's 100x better than DMC4 and the combat is more enjoyable than DMC3. Just....lol. Either you were never good at the original DMC's, or just never played them. Dante was never a "cool sarcastic prick you love to hate" either. He was was an iconic badass character with cheesy one liners, that was very likable. The bosses, and dialogue in this game are just absolutely juvenile and ridiculous. Enjoy the game though, just don't try...
@clovis212, obviously you never played DMC1 if you don't recall it having a lock on. It didn't have a visual effect showing which target you were locked on, but holding R1 locked onto the nearest enemy. And everyone has had an opportunity to spend time with DmC with the lackluster demo by now.
Wow these are really impressive. Ubisoft really needs to listen to fans on this idea. I've been wanting an AC set in feudal Japan or China since the release of part 1 :( These just add more fuel to the fire lol.
Too bad the new DmC can't say the same :\ The dialogue and story in DMC games have never been what I would call top notch, but everything I've seen in the new one make it seem so obnoxious and juvenile. Sorry for going off topic btw lol.
Yeah I still enjoyed MGS2. It just happens to be my least favorite of the series. But the worst MGS game is miles better than the majority of other series' either way :P
MGS3 > MGS1 > MGS4 > MGS2 imo. Unfortunately i still haven't gotten aroumd to Peace Walker :(
It'll be on the psn in a week or 2. You could always get a hold of ZOE HD lol the demo is pretty sweet :D
Dark Souls 2 is looking at a 2014 release last I read.
lol if you look up the term "Flamebait" in the dictionary, it would say "see this article."
Dragon's Dogma should be on there in place of Fez. It got pretty popular with people that follow gaming news, but went under the radar for many. And it's just pretty awesome :P
Right.... I guess the same way MS copied Sony when they released black 360s? Seriously -_-
Best combat system for a Ninja Theory game does not equal the quality of the combat in the rest of the DMC series, omitting part 2.
I'm not happy with the direction NT took DMC, but I will still probably give the game a chance. The demo was enjoyable to me, but it feels more like it should be a new title, rather than having the DMC name stamped on it.
I'm looking forward to Rising alot tbh. I was a big fan of Vanquish, and Rising kinda feels like a mix of MGS with that. Platinum games has yet to let me down with an action game, and hopefully MGR will keep up that trend.
Trying to troll one of the best games of last year for hits makes for a terrible article, too. How did this even get approved?
If it wasn't a boss fight, what was it? lol and the boss you are referring to isn't even the only huge fight in the game, or the biggest.
