I'm personally more hyped for Uncharted 3, but this one looks really cool none the less. Easily the 2 best new IP's this generation IMO.

Here are some innovations sony was first at:

First pressure sensitive buttons on a controller (dual shock 2)
First console to output in true native stereoscopic 3D
Dual analog
custom soundtracks (PS1 disc swap method)
augmented reality on a console
controller free gaming on a console
head tracking (GT5 was the first commercial console title to utilize this)
first console to offer cloud saving
first console to off...

The pressure sensitive controllers are innovative. They're just taking the best of all motion sensing tech, making it better, and then tossing some original ideas on top.

If you like having to hassle with DRM, and spending money to upgrade the thing every 2 years.

This is one game that has found a use for kinect's tech that fits within it's limitations and does not try to force things onto the device it just isn't cut out for (like star wars does, resulting in a mostly on rails experience). Controlling a dragon can be done with slow sweeping motions that will not be affected by any input lag. I'm curious to see how well shooting will hold up though. None the less, it's the first "core" Kinect title I've seen that I hav...

Nothing in the agreement stops you personally from suing Sony, you just can't go class action on them and still use their service. Since a class action settlement would affect every PSN subscriber, and not everyone was affected, I can't say I disagree with the move.

How many people do you know that have documented proof that the PSN hack caused them to lose any money or have their credit rating negatively affected?

Now, with that answer in mind... Why is this surprising?

It was a mess for sure, and Sony did bear blame. But the fact remains that we don't have issues of people being robbed. Those affected were even given identity theft protection, but even then it didn't prove necessary. If I were in Sony's pos...

Well, you can't cram a ps3 into a pocket sized box and expect much else. And this isn't a cell phone, this thing does a hell of a lot more than your average iphone. Those multi core processors obviously eat a lot of power.

As a console that launched with no real solid lineup, a $600 price tag, shortages, and with poor developer support, to be steadily closing the gap between it and Xbox 360 more and more by the year is doing amazing. Remember, 360 launched $200 cheaper, and was easier to make games for so the initial round of games as well as multiplatform titles heavily favored 360. Remember how bad the frame rates were on early games like Madden for PS3? We've come a long way, and PS3 has shown that it ha...

Just picked up a 50' 3D plasma. other than needing to be tweaked by using the 3d slider in game and in the tv as well to eliminate ghosting, the effect is very well done. there are only a couple of games that look really bad in 3D. killzone 3 being one of them. just too damn low resolution. wipeout hd looks great, motorstorm 3d rift looks pretty good for a more visually advanced racer, mlb the show looks really good in 3D. however, i only enjoy it on the games that benefit the most from i...

Not to mention how much easier it is to port a game like Assasin's Creed to a console that can handle the same polygon meshes, etc. and only needs minor tweaks to get it up and running properly on the handheld, and one that comes stock with 2 analog sticks.

there are still some things you can tell, like frame rate and shadow quality, both of which are rather low in the jet video i saw. however, this is a work in progress, so what your statement should say is

"judging a game that isn't finished is plain idiotic."

Nowhere near as good as the version made in LBP2.

Gamingdroid, while what you say is true, it doesn't take into account that the last price cut brought PS3 into the "sweet spot" of sub $300, and was a $100 cut. This is a cut that is only half that, happened in a less prime month for sales, and still kept PS3 in the $200-300 range, so you shouldn't expect to see the same or even similar results from this as last time.

The USA has always favored 360, but worldwide it's a different story. PS3 still takes both Europe and Japan. This is why PS3 has been closing the gap in sales between it and 360 since it launched. MS likes to trumpet how they sell so well in the USA as if it's the only place in the world people can buy a console, and sadly many of the ignorant fanboys buy into it, ignoring the elephant in the room.

360 still lagging behind worldwide. PS3 still on top.

Nintendo is now also selling 3DS at a loss after dramatically slashing it's price (as a reaction to poor sales and Vita hitting the same price point), and Vita was never delayed, so your point is mute.

@maniac, neither of those articles directly quotes anyone from Sony saying Vita was delayed. They always have said it'll see a phased release late this year, and never specified which territories would get it first until now.
