comments are opinions. they're meant to be just that. articles are as well, however in this article's case it's not stating an opinion, it's telling you what your opinion should be. it's the same old regurgitated garbage that pollutes n4g every day. the same 2 types of articles.
"Why" articles, and "List" articles. "why you should like this." "why you shouldn't like that". "why this is better than that"...
ipad will be competition to vita when you have AAA experiences like Resistance, uncharted, etc. on it from the world's most respected developers. Until that happens, no dice.
"Why you shouldn't write articles telling other people how they should or shouldn't feel about something."
this is the type of talk I like to hear out of competitors. turn 10 needs to take a page from this guy's book. i might be more interested in seeing what forza had to offer if it weren't for those a**holes constantly running their mouths about how much better they are than GT5. this sort of thing actually makes me want to check out MW3 just because i know mature people with good sportsmanship were behind it. i will at least give it a rental for that reason. I like people that aren'...
Sony to iPad 3... "BRING IT!"
@gamingdroid,
you have to keep in mind sony isn't the best at coding software. they're not very efficient with memory usage, etc. compared to MS who has been in the business of making operating systems for many years. Hardware is where Sony is strong, software is where MS is strong. So, though you are right (it was actually 96MB to begin with and it's now at 48, or it was last time I checked with our developer contact who informs us of all those specifics) that th...
actually you're a little mistaken gamingdroid, it isn't the way the memory is laid out as much as it is the fact that they originally told their developers they could use "X" amount of ram to code their games, and that means that features like this which would need more of that RAM can't be put in unless they are able to shrink the memory footprint of the OS down small enough to allow it to run. They obviously haven't been able to do that. They did shrink the RAM foo...
Same reason I've been giving all along. It's not that PS3 doesn't have enough RAM, but that X game chat hasn't been there from the start so developers have not been keeping the amount of RAM it would need to operate in mind when making their games, unlike Xbox 360 where it is required that you set aside enough RAM for it's OS and all of it's features from the start (including party chat). So, in order to shoehorn a feature like this in after launch, you have to shrink ...
PS3 could do it, but the problem is that it wasn't built around the feature. So, in order to get it working, it has to work with all games, even those crappy ports which were coded very poorly and ate up every last bit of resources the system had to run a game at a sub-par frame rate. So, the job was left on sony's hands to try to shrink the firmware footprint enough that it could still run even on those games. It looks like they have not been able to do that, even though they've ...
It technically has 640MB, 512 system RAM and 128 video RAM. And I'm sure, like PS3, VRAM can use some of system RAM if it needs to.
Not knocking the quality of XBL's gaming services, but charging people for things that the rest of the world gets to enjoy for free (basic online multiplayer, youtube, access to netflix, facebook, bing, etc..) is flat out wrong.
They have a great service, they just need to restructure it as far as what you get for free and what you get for paying for it.
it'll come out, it got far too good of a reception when it was shown. they're just taking their time. quite typical of sony to delay a game in order to do a good job on it (last guardian...).
I definitely agree. Rather than a rushed product, i'd rather a polished masterpiece.
This does seem to be the one killer app everyone is waiting on. It did look promising, so I hope the date isn't right as well.
do you know of any game you can control entirely with a controller or entirely with kinect?
at least you have the option to. options are good.
We'd like to apologize to our readers, we made a mistake with this one. When Sony said "with the new Ps3 price of $249, and the new $99 PSP model, as well as the $60 move starter pack", I mistakenly thought they were referring to Move having a price cut as well. One of our observant readers pointed out to us that Move has always cost 60 euros in SCEE territories because it is not bundled with sports champions.
*facepalm*
Our humble apologies for...
I was disappointed to not see it at the conference either. However, I'd rather them show a complete game than a half finished and unimpressive game. I was kinda hoping they would announce another move-only game as well that wasn't casual, but oh well. I still love my MAG/killzone 3 with move, and will patiently wait for sorcery and medieval moves to come. the latter is developed by zindagi, and after seeing them demonstrate their mastery of the move controller with sports champions, i...
This puts them in range to go toe to toe with MS' $300 kinect bundle. Sony ain't playin' around this time.
This with PS3 and PSP.... We've come a LOOOONG way since "Five hundred and ninety nine US dollars"!
As well as no real games.
