This game has some of the worst voice acting I have ever heard.
GT5 gets the photorealism down better than Forza, which favors brighter colors and lower quality reflections. GT5 nails that subtle blue hue of the sky reflecting off of the cars and windshields. Some of the backgrounds are better on Forza though. Forza looks good, but GT5 looks amazing... And manages that look at near 1080p resolution and even in 3D.
Forza bests Gt5 in some features, but graphics has never been one of them. Kaz has always known how to push the boundaries of...
5 years and it was "rushed"... Goes to show how high the bar is set for GT. I like the release one title per generation and update it approach.
Both weather and day/night cycles dramatically effect the challenges you face on a course, and do add a great dynamic to a game that calls itself a driving simulator. Some people do race at night or in bad weather. 24 hour endurance races, for instance, can feature both day/night cycle and unexpected weather changes. Just like some race on or off road... Different people enjoy different challenges. The game is by no means incomplete by not having it, but as a game meant to be direct competiti...
This rumor doesn't hold water because Sony already has the control to restrict game sharing on a per-game level. Warhawk for instance is only playable by one account at a time. I think GT Prologue can't be shared either if I remember right. I know warhawk is restricted though. In fact, I'm not sure if they changed it or not but there used to be a 24 hour waiting period before you could get back on your game if someone you shared it with had been playing it.
Kaveti, my response was to imaballa's question. I am fully aware of the difference between texture and screen resolution. And never once did I say anything about the textures being the same resolution as they are on PC... did you even read my second paragraph? however, if they bother creating 3 separate texture packs, one for 360, one for PS3, and one for PC, remains to be seen. PC may get gimped by PS3's limitations due to them not wanting to spend time and money making a higher res ...
Studies show that on screens smaller than 32 inches, the average human eye cannot tell the difference between 720p and 1080p. The same applies to 1080p on screens smaller than 60 inches. Of course, PC gamers sit much closer to their screens than console gamers do on average, so they can tell resolution differences a bit better, but the fact remains that going above 1080p on screens smaller than 32 inches means you hit a point of diminishing returns before long.
The PS3's...
these games do cost a lot of money to make, so it's a big risk to take, but i damn sure would have bought it.
Sometimes it's for the better that they do. Though sometimes (like with eight days) it looks like a lot of potential wasted.
Now imagine merging this with Move and head tracking so you can hold a move in each hand, and be able to look around. It knows where your hands are in 3D space, allowing you to interact with virtual worlds in full 3D.
I think it launches in November in Japan. however, I'd hang on a bit... we wrote an article a few months back talking about how this would be used for gaming, and it would need internal sensors for tilt, etc. to provide lag free tracking of where you turned your head so that you could look around in a virtual world. PSEye could track your head, however the processing time may not be suitable for an immersive experience. You need instant feedback if you're turning your head and looking...
This isn't a "loophole", Sony intentionally put that in there and they didn't have to either. They know that few people will bother, and their risks will be reduced anyway. by putting that in there, it gives those who would want to raise the most fuss about it little reason to complain, and they still have millions who won't even bother sending it in.
When you try to cram an epic RPG onto one DVD, you gotta make some cuts somewhere.
Some good points made. MS does know how to get the mass market appeal, however this really has only proven to help them in the USA. They still fall behind in the other markets, and no American hip hop star is going to fix that. Not to say that the Xbox games don't sell themselves, but you can't deny that Xbox's massive presence in American media has definitely been much larger than the PS3's has, and this has brought more awareness of Xbox than PS3 has enjoyed. USA's sales...
Whoever posted this failed to acknowledge that it isn't a 100% outage, and seems to be focused on the european areas.
This is why they announced the DLC along with the game itself, they're just not going to sell you the rest of the game and make you purchase and download it separately. This keeps MS happy as well since the 2 versions have parity, and Square doesn't have to pay any extra licensing or production costs for the extra discs.
Well, shutter glasses have been around since the 70's, however they were never used commercially because there was heavy ghosting since the glasses couldn't open and shut very fast. the ones these days are much quicker, 120fps and faster. There's a chance that's what we're seeing here, one of those old school shutter glasses. Wiki lcd shutter glasses, you'll see they've been used in gaming since the 80's. however, as I found out at e3 2006 when i tried splitfis...
Are those a pair of 3D shutter glasses on the bottom pic (on the desk to the left)?
Last time I checked, you were allowed to express an opinion about what game you are most excited for regardless of what the "tag" on the article says. I disagreed with gw4kii, and at least bothered to explain why rather than just clicking "disagree". And it's not like I'm sitting here trashing gears either, so get off your high horse. As I said, both are great games, I just happen to have a preference for action adventure over shooters.
He used to be on the board of directors for the federal reserve, so I'm not surprised to see the top 1% being favored by the policies.
They contacted the guy who supposedly came up with the plan asking if that's where he drew his inspiration, he would not comment on it.
