No, they run native 1080p... it's just that they do not tax PS3's CPU or RAM all that much so they are able to. Wipeout HD also ran native 1080p at 60fps, though it did use a dynamic framebuffer to render frames at lower resolution when system load was too high. That was my whole point... rendering a game at 1080p is not the milestone to look for. Rendering a modern, AAA graphically impressive game at 1080p is what we're talking about. Mentioning kinect sports, Forza (which was do...
PS3 not being able to do 1080p due to RAM and GPU limitations is clearly not the case. I mean, Fl0w runs at 1080p. So does fl0wer. Pixeljunk monsters does too!
Nevermind the fact that PS4 has parental control features that any responsible parent should have already set to prevent their children from playing or downloading games not designed for people their age.
Release it in limited quantity, so that when it only sells 700 units in a week it can be chalked up as "sold out".
"This just in, Xbox One sold out in Japan!"

He knows he's full of shit too. That is why you're seeing less of him as an analyst and more of him as a media pundit on various gaming sites. They don't take him seriously in the analyst world either, and Pachter knows that the best way for him to keep a check coming in is to market himself as someone who says controversial things to drive hits to websites. Since he has elevated himself to a position of authority in the gaming world, with the help of a few gaming media outlets al...
Um... a company that owns half of the entertainment industry and a good chunk of the consumer electronics industry (among other things) isn't big enough to pay publishers for their content based on usage the way a company that does nothing other than streams movies over the internet can...
ok
Do they draw random english words out of a hat to name these games? Throw darts at a board with words on it?
It'll be another create-your-own-game scenario, but taken to the next level. The move stuff was strictly to show off how the creators will do their thing, how they will use the move controllers to sculpt 3D objects, and then as little motion capture devices to animate the characters. Add a voice over, and you have fully custom animated characters with custom voice overs. The creativity possibilities are endless. What kinds of games they use those tools to make will remain to be seen, thou...
using 2 move controllers as 3d sculpting tools like they show in the demo would revolutionize the way we 3D model in-game assets and make it accessible to anybody.
Sounds like something that would make the CPU bog down more than the GPU.
^This guy, who replies to comments just to attack the comment itself, rather than trying to formulate any sort of legitimate counter point to argue against it with.
Just the first cracks in a wall that needed to crumble 20 years ago.
PS4 f2P games that have online features do not require PS+ either, such as War Thunder. I know this because my subscription lapsed recently but I was able to keep playing it. Only when I tried playing another game was I blocked from online play.
Mario would play just fine with the old 2 button layout and a d-pad on the left side of the touch screen (a virtual one).
What it would do is weaken the foolish argument that Nintendo releasing games on a multitude of hardware and crafting games that cater to each hardware design's capabilities would not result in them dramatically increasing their revenue.
As of now, they have a successful handheld and a failing console. They are limited to their install...
You know it's bad when a last gen game with minor improvements struggles to run on the hardware.

Just the DLC that they'll sell you an unlock key for later.
6v6 because any more is too many... *crams game with up to 38 AI bots at any given time*
and all running at 720p!
@truefan, nice try, but you fail yet again. 792p would have to cover around half of the screen with black in order to hit 1080p... as it would still have to fill in the missing horizontal pixels from 1408 pixels to 1920 pixels. Your pathetic attempt to compare this to The Order on PS4 POSSIBLY choosing to adopt a 1920x800 frame, with black bars cropping the remaining 280 vertical lines falls flat on its face. Again though, nice try. Keep it up, you'll be able to formulate an argument that...
