I have a hard time buying into their excuse. Typically a MP only game will have many different game modes, all of which are suited for the types of gameplay they provide, including player count. Even MAG, a game that offered 256 players at once, only let you do so in one mode with specific maps designed to accommodate that many players. Other modes stuck to the traditional 32 player model. To limit ALL game modes to 6v6 seems like lazy development or the game being held back by its hardware, ...

Sony was researching and patenting VR long before any of you ever heard the word "Oculus". Shu even hinted that they were in talks with Oculus, when he tweeted "I say Oculus, you say ****?" to which one of the Oculus crew replied inviting Shu for a tech demo. If Sony did not decide to license Oculus tech, it means they were already farther ahead with their R&D than Oculus was.

3DS is a handheld from a company with a long history of top-selling handhelds. And nobody here is talking about 3DS. What's your point?

Sony is said to take a $60 hit per ps4 sold. MS is at break even or slight profit if my memory serves me right.

Sony still has another launch to prepare for, so that is why shipments aren't as high as X1. Once Japan is launched, and the factories continue their production ramp-up, that will change.

Which is quite funny when you consider all the fanboys who have been making noise over how cool their supposedly exclusive dedicated servers were.

It's a sad thing when a game is killed like this. MAG was easily one of my favorite shooters of the generation, and it dies next month. Unlike Resistance and GT5 though, it has no offline mode. Thank god Warhawk is still going.

Of all the things that PC gamers like to brag about which are exaggerated or simply ...

Wow, I thought you couldn't go any lower with the ignorance, but you just beat yourself. It's bad enough that you're so desperate that you are willing to make things up to justify your cause, but it's even worse because you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. It's funny, but in a sad kind of way.

Call of Duty runs at 1080p 60fps. Killzone's Multiplayer mode does as well. Flower, Resogun, Dying Light, (possibly) Drive Club, Warframe, NB...

Dream on buddy. Wii U's CPU is based on Wii's, and is nothing to write home about. Easily the weakest CPU of the bunch. Wii U's hardware is easily a generation behind the PS4, Xbox One, or PC. What you will see on that version of the game is not going to be in the same league as what PS4/XO/PC have, unless the game is deliberately coded to not take full advantage of the other systems. The developers will have to make plenty of cuts to make this game run on that hardware.

Actually, PS+'s sales are starting to catch up to Steam here lately. Not there yet, but making good strides in that direction.

Ryse's framerate drops into the teens at times, despite it not even being rendered at 1080p. That alone puts the nail in the coffin for that game. No matter how good it looks, it runs like shit. You could get away with PS5 level visuals on PS4, you just might only get 5fps in the process at a lower resolution. The way a game runs contributes to how it looks, considering we're not looking at still pictures. We're looking at animated visuals made out of pixels. The fewer pixels an t...

"Hey everyone! Click my article so I can waste 5 minutes of your day reading my completely worthless opinion on what game has the best graphics (even though it doesn't run in full HD and has a framerate that drops into the teens)! It'll earn me ad revenue! Then you can all bitch and moan about how my favorite game doesn't look as good as yours, which will equal more clicks for me!"

Having an APU can actually give performance advantages, as both CPU and GPU reside on the same chip and (in the consoles) have custom buses that connect the two together that you won't find on PC. PS4's GPU also can queue up more asynchronous compute commands at once than pretty much any PC GPU on the market today (though that will change soon), and doesn't have bloated middleware and operating system overhead to deal with. If you need to know just how much performance is lost to ...

Still the same game as the Dynasty Warriors I was playing on PS2... and the visuals really aren't all that much better. Koei has never been known for good looking games though... or good playing ones for that matter. Keep on mashing square to juggle dozens of enemies that are all identical clones of each other.

I've had some fun playing DW before, but they offer no innovation at all from one title to the next. If you've played one, you've played them all.

I agree. For someone who doesn't care about Kinect, paying $100 more for less is not a good value. Even if it were $400, I'm still paying the same for less. Give me a kinect free XO at $350, then we'll talk.

There are 1080p games on PS3. At 60fps too. Just because a 2.5d game hits that resolution and framerate doesn't mean all games can.

@Dehnus
Sure, it can, but the problem is GPUs need WAY more than 68gbps of bandwidth that DDR3 provides. This is why all GPUs stopped using DDR3 years ago in favor of GDDR5. Also, CPUs don't tend to need as much bandwidth as GPUs, so it only makes sense to utilize the fastest memory in the system for GPU purposes.

@VR ... It's pretty big at this point, the games do not lie... It will only get bigger as time goes on, due to developers not having to jump as many...
