@ ballsack, Where's 16 player party chat on Xbox One?

More Mystikal than mystical.

Dan Forden should have produced the music for the trailer.

Which it eventually did, and then surpassed it.

Looks like MS isn't willing to risk funding too many large scale first party Xbox One projects due to its limited install base, so they are releasing them on Xbox 360 also to take advantage of a well established install base. A failsafe to mitigate some of the risk involved.

Some may say a smart move, but it also does show they lack confidence.

The hip hop music kills the MK vibe IMO, it doesn't have that mystic feeling that MK has always had.

That isn't something you announce either. None of the performance enhancements PS3 enjoyed were released to any fanfare. They just do it an let the games speak for themselves.

Even if you only own one of those consoles, the dollar value of those 24 games per year is ridiculous compared against the $50 they ask to join the program.

Sony really did hit a homerun to the moon with PS+. I was upset at them for doing pay-to-play online at first, but they really have done a fantastic job of upgrading their network and giving me plenty of added value via free games to make the fee worthwhile.

This game looks worse than infamous, plays like garbage on AMD PCs, and we're even having this debate at all? How about we compare games that are not obviously rushed by a team that was stretched too thin... When even the PC version runs bad compared to other (better looking) games, considering the consoles are based on PC parts, that says something.

Ubi overpromised and underdelivered on all platforms. Looks like they were stretched too thin and had to dial things back to avoid yet another delay.

Another instance of people who have no idea what they are talking about trying to sound like they have an idea of what they are talking about. There is no "interior simulation" going on via reflection textures/tricks/etc... they just rendered the interior like the exterior, though likely in much lower detail.

Actually, some of you are mistaken. Not only did Bill Gates mention spinning off Xbox, so did the new CEO Satya Nadella.

They're probably cooking up all they can throw at Sony. They need to... with half of the company and most of its investors calling for a spinoff of the xbox brand, they need E3 to push sales back into the territory that keeps those investors at bay. Without it, the future of the whole xbox program is in doubt. I just hope that their version of fixing the problem isn't whipping out the checkbook for more "not-so" exclusive games or "we're first" DLC packs. We do...

No, it's why console games DO run better than their PC counterparts, they have fixed architectures that enable the developers to target their features. You do realize your entire comment just validated what I said... I never denied that developers have to target a wide range of hardware on PC. That is the reason why it is not as good of a gaming platform as a console is. You'll never get consistency with it. Consoles don't even get perfect consistency, but they definitely come muc...

@lifeisgameok

This article literally just proved your "has more CPU room" argument false, and you completely ignore the fact that PS4's GPU has 6 additional compute units that are all capable of GPGPU functionality that can aid the CPU with anything from audio to physics to AI... it essentially has 6 additional co-processors (384 technically, since each CU has 64 ALUs in it) that help the CPU or render graphics for the GPU when they are not needed by the CPU. It...

and this is why console gaming is better. PC games often are poorly optimized lazy ports of console games that only look marginally better on a system that is many times more expensive... but which have very inconsistent performance from one game to the next no matter how powerful your rig is.

A game as fast paced as COD, where you are constantly moving and looking around, would likely make you sick in VR. Your eyes will be telling your brain that you are moving around very quickly, and looking around quickly, but your body will be telling your brain you are standing still. When moving slowly, this lack of continuity won't matter much.. but moving fast enough to run a twitch shooter may be a different story.

4 million x $50 a year = $200,000,000 annual income just off of plus subscriptions, not counting game and DLC sales... just for PS4.

Not a bad little turnaround for PSN, and a much needed shot in the arm to an ailing Sony.

Considering how fast PS4 is selling, if this 50% attach rate keeps up, Sony could be raking in billions each year by the end of next year.

I wonder how many PS3 and Vita plus subscribers there are out there, if those number...

@iagainsti,

the reason being, developers need more high bandwidth RAM than just the frame buffer itself. So, when you have a triple buffered image hogging 23mb of 32mb, you only have 9mb left to play with. With lower resolution buffers, they take up less space and leave more room for other data.

Again, not disputing that the other factors don't also play a role (especially the ROPs), but the main bottleneck we hear devs complain about is ESRAM and I feel ...
