The game isn't perfect, it's too easy to get penalties (you shouldn't be penalized for someone else running into you)and the handling with analog sticks is too sensitive and there is no adjustment (but motion control works great). However, I am thoroughly enjoying it still and do not regret my purchase.
lol... good one.
PSN has had dedicated servers since the PS3 days. Warhawk still uses them to this day.
Compressed jpeg images, many of which aren't even being viewed on native 1080p screens by people on here claiming they can't see a difference, are no indication of the real resolution differences.
You can't put 650,000 more pixels into an image and say you can't tell a difference, unless your monitor isn't high enough resolution to resolve those extra pixels or if you're blind. 650k pixels is enough to almost make up a 720p frame.

Looks like MS is trying to move away from Xbox and into PC gaming, slowly making the transition by releasing their biggest exclusives on both platforms. If it means better software sales for them, why not?
@angelic, over six hundred thousand pixels (the difference between 1600x900 vs. 1920x1080) is not "a few". That many pixels is about double the resolution of SDTV, which does lead to a visible difference in sharpness, especially on larger screens. It is only 288,000 pixels away from being a full 720p image's worth of extra pixels per frame.
I agree, though I am enjoying the (early) need for speed style approach DC has.
an open world arcade racing game vs. a closed circuit arcade racer... let's throw project cars in the mix while we're at it, which blows both away!
"but it's a sim"
well, since we're comparing apples to oranges anyway... might as well.
Grand Theft Auto 5 vs. Call of Duty Ghosts.... which is the better fps?
"but one isn't open world, and only has a limited FPS mode"
exactly.
abizzel, you are forgetting the real limiting factor of the cloud, not bandwidth but latency. Bandwidth is how much data can be sent at once, latency is how long that chunk of data takes to get from point a to point b. Our modern internet connections have enough bandwidth to handle cloud based rendering/computing, but our latencies are far from it. When you are rendering a game at 60fps, you have 16ms to complete every single one of your calculations that next frame depends upon... less time ...
Maybe Microsoft wouldn't let them bundle it...
Yeah, these constant complaints about DC not being open world are getting old. It just shows a bias towards Forza Horizon, as they are desperately trying to find a way to compare the two games that have little in common.
The reviews mean nothing when all PS4 owners will be able to play it for free before buying...
from reddit:
Called customer support. Was on hold for quite a while (given the current situation). Rep confirmed that the PS+ edition will hit the store in about 1.5 hours. Rep also said that he has gotten many calls regarding this very predicament. Time will tell, but I'm just the messenger.

Big difference between what could be considered a small game, complete with platinum trophy, vs. getting to play a level, or even just a few minutes of a level.
Considering they never said they were "only" gaming and have always put non-gaming related features into their consoles since the CD playback functionality on the original PlayStation (with visuals!), this isn't out of the ordinary. They were talking about a TV service on PS3 last gen, but never got it off the ground in time.
Like asking "GTA5 Vs. Halo... which is the better shooter?"
Yeah, this guy's an idiot that thinks we'll fall for his click bait since his flamebait review of DC flopped. I can hear his bubbles popping.
THE VERDICT
Driveclub is the best-looking racing game I’ve ever seen on a console, but down deep it’s a more modest, conventional arcade racer than the sprawling, open-world types we commonly see today.
Way to compare apples to oranges. As if we come to expect open worlds out of a racing game. Forza doesn't have it, project Cars doesn't have it. GT doesn't have it. Only Forza Horizon does, and it had to make serious visual sacrifices to pull that ...
"This game is CPU bound, so they had to reduce the load on the GPU to make it run on both systems"
Do you see the conflicting logic here? If not, read it again.
