You lost all credibility when you claimed that SLI'ing your system will yield a 2x increase in power... No SLI/Crossfire setup yields a perfect double in GPU performance... not even close.

@audiggity, PS4 handles 1080p just fine, only a handful of games have framerate troubles at that resolution (vs. their targeted framerate), so you have it backwards there.

"It was also revealed that the console supports multiple GPU command streams which consists of instructions for rendering and compute. Both commands pass through the GPU simultaneously which allows to have two parallel processes of compute and rendering work, which share the same bandwidth resources. This results into a low latency exchange between GPU and CPU. However we are not sure whether developers can explicitly push one task type ahead of the other or whether the GPU automatically...

"Honestly, they should have given everybody a free game. 10% off is an insult."

For an attack that brought multiple console networks down... even though they already give several free games per month away across multiple consoles.

You do know that when you have a power outage, or a cable outage, the best you can ever hope to get is a few days of service taken off of your bill at the end of the month, right?

Entitled brats.

Bungie is owned by Bobby Kotick now. What did you expect?

Good for them for finally giving up on the failure that was Kinect and giving back a little bit of the power it gimped from the system. That will help close the gap a bit, but you're still going to see plenty of 900p or less. No update will fix that big of a hardware gap.

Exactly. Olympians are athletes. If videogames become an olympic sport, a game like Chess should also be an olympic sport. Other than games like Wii sports, there is no athleticism in gaming, and even when there is it's just simulating a real sport that likely already is featured in the olympics.

60fps? Better than driveclub.

Graphics, especially the weather? Not better than DriveClub.

"Cryengine makes ESRAM easier to handle."

*Still at same resolution/framerate.*

Basically means any gains were keeping the game from being 720p.

Even if it's COD in space, COD is known for having great MP, so this article fails no matter which way you look at it.

Nintendo did say they were working on new consoles already, so this fits that.

Every console gets SDK improvements over time... they just don't all make a big deal out of it.

Any improvement to ESRAM would be minimal. You can only go so far in making the movement of data in and out of 32mb... not even enough memory to store an mp3 album at near CD quality, more efficient.

@true, you just owned Xbox troll.

Xbot either has a really sad pathetic life, or is being paid to do damage control.

An informative article that actually taught me something? On N4G? Really?

Oh, you mean like when you said "Shouldn't include multi plats. But Knack, Drive Club those were BAD!!!!"

???

Some gamers aren't just fans of the games themselves, but the industry as a whole, and keeping track of sales is a good way to gauge the health of the industry.

UPDATE: It appears there was a mistranslation. The respondents were asked if they played video game consoles, to which they answered "oui". This was misunderstood as a vote for "Wii" as the results were being read out, and said result reader has now lost their job.

Well, while PC games will get a significant boost from this, it won't enable you to get a system that is the price of a console (under $400) that will out perform one. If anything, it'll make a PC that cheap get a little closer, but you still are not going to get a system that is custom built and optimized for gaming. You won't get the same bus speeds, you won't get the same bandwidth to RAM or as much of that high bandwidth RAM, etc.

Every drop of water beautifully rendered, complete with depth of field bokeh effects, full reflections, and dynamic reaction to physics. It sloshes around as you turn corners and as the wipers push it around. The damn driver even gets wet. The seas get choppy when it storms. Best in game water I've seen... all on what is supposed to be a mid range gaming laptop in a console case.

A win (in one territory for one month, while still losing worldwide that same month) is a win? Winning a battle and losing the war, yet throwing the victory parade anyway?
