Sony released Pro early enough on that it won't hurt them any to skip dropping the parity clause. They can release PS5 in 2 years and be fine. MS doesn't have that option with almost a year to go before Scorpio even launches.
"One president can't save this country." But one can destroy it, which is why one shouldn't vote for narcissistic sociopaths who are such thin skinned snowflakes that a kid's insult could send them on a 4 hour twitter rant. This idiot held a press conference to lie about the size of his inauguration crowd (there are timelapse videos of the entire day that prove him wrong). If you think someone with the temperament of an autistic 4 year old is going to lead this country i...

Except PSVR became the top selling dedicated VR device in weeks despite others having as much as 2 year head starts, and supply constraints have been holding further sales back. When there are tons of PSVRs gathering dust on the shelves, then we can start talking about them abandoning it.
The eye still perceives the difference, therefore it kinda does "look" too choppy as a result, even if your brain doesn't notice it as much consciously. your eye is updating your brain fast enough and your brain is processing that info fast enough to detect it.
It still can be depending on how MS chooses to approach it. The only thing keeping it a current gen upgrade is the fact that MS states that it must be fully forward and backward compatible, like PS4 Pro. If MS decides to let developers eventually target games to take full advantage of Scorpio hardware, and release software that is Scorpio exclusive and cannot run on One, it becomes a next gen system. Same for Pro, to a somewhat lesser extent. Doing so is very risky, however. They risk alienat...
There was no need for due process in this case. Sony owns those servers, and technically all content you put on them. This dude got reported for sending out kiddie porn request spam, Sony checked his account out and found that he'd downloaded and uploaded kiddie porn to and from their servers. Had Sony discovered this and NOT said something and this guy continued doing his thing, they are then guilty for knowingly holding child pornography on their servers.
Hate to break it to you, but Sony has been doing the portable to TV console thing (PSP TV dock) as well as the console to portable thing for many years now. All Nintendo did was beef up the controller used and apply it to that concept.
Microsoft is in no position to be this cocky. This has been a trend for them lately (like them also saying they don't need to worry about keeping up with innovation because their consumers don't change). They're acting like Sony did at the end of PS2's life cycle and into the beginning of PS3's.
I agree that third party exclusives will become more rare, but second party partnerships with third party studios to release exclusives funded by the console manufacturer might become more common.
You also must consider that getting a game up and running at 4K on PS4 Pro requires some tooling around with the engine optimizations that developers may not be that interested in paying their programmers to do on an old game that is long past its sales peak and won't provide a return on the investment. So, you should not be judging Pro by it's patches to existing PS4 games, but rather new games that launch with Pro compatibility baked in. If you start seeing a lot of those games only...
Exactly. I've never understood that wonky analog stick placement Xbox uses... Our hands are symmetrical, it only makes sense to have our thumb stick layout also be symmetrical.
@Paytaa
Wouldn't anything posted to Scorpio's website be straight from the horse's mouth?

"Microsoft continues to tease its imminent release of the Xbox Scorpio" when did 10 months become imminent?

Definitely skewed... if you can't get equal quality sources, you are spreading lies by putting these videos out.

I'm game as long as latency is low. I've heard good things about similar tech.
If it were 30 or 60hz, there would be no need for 90-120hz requirements in VR to keep from getting motion sick.

He's Japanese...

Ice halos happen all the time... why is this news?
Nitus hit the nail on the head. 4K at 60p isn't possible over 1.4. A 4K TV with HDMI 1.4 was gimped out of the box, not the PS4 Pro.
