I'm glad I got the kinect bundle. I have really little to zero interest in it's actual gaming controls, but the voice commands and skype features have been fantastic. Switching from TV to Youtbue or Netflix while your kid is screaming for the Mickey Mouse hotdog song, because you can't find the controller she hid... is god sent.
I think it's unique generation in that we had SO much pent up want/need for a new console that I think these consoles (minus Wii U) are selling unbelievable out of the gate. I think the telling signs will be how well each console is selling in year 2 and part of year 3, then for sure we'll have a better idea of what the overall market place will look like. I don't really have a doubt the PS4 will hit or really come close to 100million but with Xbox and Wii U, it will be interest...
Hopefully Sony can keep it up, I think it's good for the overall health of industry. I don't think we'll get to the 260ish million total consoles sold like we did last generation, but one of the big three really needs to lead and keep the interest of old and new gamers. Over the past three generations or so each of the big 3 have greatly contributed to controllers, to online, and the medium(s). I just hope we get that next big push for innovation whether it be in VR or somethin...
Einhander!!! Oh and Crono Cross please.
Lol i wish, limited funds my friend :)
@WeAreLegion lol great, so what're saying is this is not going to be an easy decision? I've been getting so hyped for another racing game, that I broke out the PS2 and starting playing GT3 (my favorite one).
@vikingland1 & UbiquitousClam, you guys are right, I forgot about that on PS+. Good to know that Forza will have a demo too. This is not going to be an easy decsion.
I wish there was a way to try each DriveClub, Forza, and Project Cars before I decide on one this fall. All definitely have unique differences, I just hate having to use metacritic to help me decide.
I'm pretty sure if I had a camera setup in my room while I played this the first time, my reactions would have extremely similar... but with a whole lot more cursing.
This game looks fantastic, there should be no debate about that, but honestly, it's still too early to judge this on the short play throughs we've seen. I mean honestly, until you play a game like through to the end, you can't judge it especially on if it has "too many cinematic scenes." I can't imagine this game won't be entertaining, I just hope that the actual gameplay is in the 8-12 hr time frame with maybe 1-3hr of cinematic scenes.
Every time I listen to this guy... all I keep thinking is, "I wonder if he's really close to passing out, he needs to remember to breathe a little bit more when talking."
I liken this move to a band-aid or stop-gap fix, much like a lot of recent re-masters. It a simple (expensive) PR move to speak to the undecided mass as, "hey look what we got!" But to most, it was a hollow move.
I also agree that I would much rather see more "...
I'm pretty sure it was Plato... I remember seeing it at the begining of either COD Modern Warefare or Fallout, can't remember which.
Shovel Knight is a fantastic game, their sales on this for both the Wii U and PC are well deserved.
Meh, both did what they were supposed to do. Obviously the PT/Silent Hill and the Tomb Raider announcement were the two most news worthy events, other than that, just sort waiting around until E3 2015 were I except everything under the sun to be shown and shown with actual game play.
Wasn't this all a joke and taken out of context anyway?
The Twlight Princess teaser/reveal is right up there, not to many reveals have grown men crying... Also the ToLU gameplay reveal was pretty epic too as I remember.

That's because hardly anyone on this site has one, and that this site is very pro Sony.
The only one I agree with is #7, I would like DTS and Dolby Digtal HD to be the default vs PCM. Other than I've never even heard of the rattling issue and seriously you want something to be fixed that works 99% of the time??? Nothing electronically works %100 of the time especially over the course of heavy usage.
Exactly most of the indie games for both systems haven't really appealed to me. I even broke out my PS2 to play GT3 and my original xbox to play Jade Empire... its just been a slow summer.
He's busy building larger soap box to preach upon.
I like certain things Phil Fish has to say, but I wish he'd put all that passion and rage into another game. He's obviously a talented developer.
