But it's not always about just 3rd party support. Let's say hypothetically all sony could get by on was their 1st party titles much like a Nintendo, I for one would still want to purchase a playstation regardless of sales or 3rd party support as much I would like to support the games for the xbox and wii u too.
It's tough, a lot of people simply can't afford every system (especially at new gen prices). It's easier to defend/rally around the one system or company, then go out and get every console... It's not like money grows on trees. That being said, it's unbelievable time to be a gamer especially if you're fortunate enough to have the money, time, and energy to be able play games through out each system. From infamous, to Mario kart, to Titanfall... there's rarely a ...
Agreed but I wouldn't call those people who care about that sales figures, "gamers" I think you and I know the dirty word to describe them :)

@SilentNegotiator I wasn't trying to show anyone up, I wasn't trying to put out any fanboyish propaganda, just trying to answer a question. It wasn't like the information was hidden deep within the bowels of the internet, all you had to was type "killzone + mp + native + 1080p" and you would have answered your own question.
They tried to get on the PS4, Sony turned it down... don't why you would think EA would try and make this work a business partner who has no interest in it at this moment... Besides what does EA have to lose if just offered on the Xbox? The sure as heck aren't going to offer it on the WiiU, the only next logical step would be the PC.

Yeah it came from Sony's PR guy Sid Shuman back on November 3rd on the Playstation Blog, "Then there's the competitive multiplayer mode which runs at native 1080p and 60fps."

That being said I agree, I think this is all completely unnecessary and waste of time.
Is this an absolute waste of everyone's time. This lawsuit should, and probably will, never be presented to a court room. The implications of having resolutions, stated in every mode of gameplay would make the back of the game case look like a BigMac ingredients list.
The game itself is beautiful to look at but 900p didn't keep the game from being repetitive and making it an average experience, reflecting in its sales. Killzone is native 1080p in single player, the box of the box doesn't need to list that it's not technically not in mp.
My dream is that one day we all can ignore Vchartz weekly updates, and learn the patience to see what the "real" NPD monthly numbers are.
I think any game that pushed it's respected console towards it's technical limits towards the end of it gen could be remastered. I think Far Cry 3 could be on that list, as well as Skyrim. Any game that probably had a PC counterpart that should the noticable improvements in resolution and frame rate could be redone. That being said, I'm not a huge remaster guy, now remakes... I have quite a few that I'd definitely be interested in purchasing.
This an excellent article. I still enjoy Nintendo games that I play individually or play with my daughter and wife... but, there are large amounts of time that I will spend enjoying more emotional/cinematic games; walking dead, TloU, Bioshock, Fallout, ect. To me it's the best of two worlds, to use a film analogy, watching a great Pixar movie, then enjoying a Ridley Scott film.
Wow, if the plaintiff is really just trying to make a name for his/her self, there are plenty of other non-wasting time/tax payer money to go about this.. got love of our American judicial system... sigh.
Is the reason because they want it run at only 30fps or that they don't want to bother with 60fps? Seems intentional to have a game that old only run at 30fps.
Well he pretty much spelled out all the fears and concerns I have for this whole, subscription model based service, but I'm afraid, this is the future. I know, I know, if we don't support it then it will go away, but we're talking EA here. They've been voted the worst company (not just gaming) a couple years in a row... and still posted a profit!
