@Hollywoola small golf clap for staying the obvious I'm pretty no one was arguing the Xbox was winning the console race, but you know whatever, obvious facts are obvious. It still means nothing to ordinal opinion, how is the ps4 winning a console race mean the EA access going to the Xbox bad for you or EA really? How and you can't state financial instability I'd the other to companies and reference sony. And what facts are basing you're Microsoft declining as a global brand...
Yep you're right. I was looking a poorly worded article before, for previous results.
@hollywoodLa oh please, please, please show me one fact, just one. Your posts are generalizations and opinions, which by the way, are not facts. Oh and by the way, what's difference between Sony acquiring talented studios, paid-content DLC, or other exclusives? I'm just curious on your rational in the differences.
oh and 4 to 41, I'm not the only one that disagrees with rants
Well the previous two quarters they lost almost a billion dollars, now it's only $97million. I'd say there at least moving in the right direction.
I didn't really think about that, but I'm sure Sony gives EA along with all the other publishers compensation for hosting their games on the PS+ service. So if there's money to be made by having games up on both services, I'm a money hungry company like EA will take full advantage.
It's hard to complain about essentially free games. I'm excited to give dragon's crown a try, as for the consoles, well... there's always September!
Dragons Crown looks like my choice for this month... as for the consoles... meh...
I can't imagine this won't eventually come to the PSN. In a way, this a sort of, direct competition vs their upcoming PS Now service, but I honestly don't see why the two can't go hand-in-hand. Besides, if Ubisoft or Activison, or Squarenix say "me too," you know Sony is going to want to give that incentive to their current and potential customers.
This looks like a direct blow to Gamestop honestly. Not that Gamestop will lose a lot from EA offering only a hand full of titles, but with PS Now on the horizon, and possibly with Ubisoft, Activison, or Squarenix taking cue from EA with a subscription service, it's definitely going to hit hard at Gamestop.
@strangeaeon and @n4rc have guys ever had discussion/argument with this guy? It's actually quite fun, and he makes you feel really smart. It usually starts with his nonsensical rant, you break down every point of his rant, he follows up with questions and points that have nothing to do with your counterpoint. It's usually always good for a laugh
Aren't gamers, consumers? Why are you even here if you don't care?
Sony and Microsoft both to do this. Sony has Destiny/FarCry and Microsoft has COD/Dragon Age/TitanFall ect. It's called the new generation of gaming, exclusive 3rd party services/games are far too expensive to thrive on just one system without extra payment. I'm not saying I neccessarily agree with it, but it is what it is.
I remember my mom renting a PSX for my brother and I, the only games out were ESPN Xtreme games and Air Combat... not exactly shinning examples of what the Playstation was capable of, but as time passed and more info was released on FFVII, I took my first job at Walmart and bought one, some of the greatest hours spent in High School playing RE, Castlevania, FF, Crash, Gameday, GTA, and Tekken to name just a few.
Final Fantasy VII, and the Walking Dead Season 1 for me. Bioshock is up there too, however, I go back and forth whether it's the story or the enivorment that makes the game so special.
Lol I noticed the same thing.
@majin-vegeta wait what? I literally holding in my hand God of War Collection "remastered in high definition."
Wow... ok so lets start with is it important to win numbers or make money... I forget which is important to business, maybe you can help me with that?
That defunct Wii is still close 20 million above everyone else, and their numbers aren't added together (Wii/PS3) it's simple math 10.5/101=13% and 12.76/82= 13% but I know you know those facts, they don't really matter do they...
And to answer your question let's take Japan's PS3 numbers away globally... whe...
Technically Sony didn't have to say anything (even though they did send us email). The US government only states that only when confidential material has been comprimised should a company have to release info regarding the incident. Many, many, many companies are hacked weekly dealy, but you'll never hear a thing about them unless someones credit card, social security, or banking information is taken.
Are you serious? Japan bought 10.5million PS3s and 12.76million Wiis, both roughly 13% of their total console sales last gen. Just because "you" don't find them relevant doesn't mean Sony or Nintendo don't... hell even Microsoft finds the audience relevant enough to launch console that has no appeal to them. so yeah, please disprove any of this...
I think it will be interesting to see where Sony announces it will be for 2015 when hopefully most of their restructuring costs are behind them. I really did think there would be more profit behind the PS + subscription, but if they get the PS Now service right, I'd look for both PS + and PS Now to triple what they currently are seeing as a return for next year. They really need to stop relying on Spiderman in their movie franchises to make them money... they desperately need another fr...
