I love love love FFVII play it maybe once a year still. However, while it may be one of the most important RPGs of all time, The Legend of Zelda is still one (if not the best) "game" of all time. I know all this subject to opinion, but even in most gaming publications "all-time" lists, you very rarely see The Ocarina of Time out of the top three, if not number #1.

@Eonjay possibly but it's just like saying because Microsoft never releasing a handheld device, they were defeated... somehow. Or Microsoft not releasing their own Vue like service.

Right!? How could they be defeated in market they don't participate in?

Exactly, how many bogus E3 rumors get posted on here? But this will apparently fail... again? This site amazes me by who it obviously tries to cater too.

Exactly, while I'm excited to try out the PSVR someday... I have hard time believing in the success of a gaming peripheral that costs more than the console itself.

There's no such thing as word of mouth hype then? lol ok...

I'm sorry I can't really get into a debate with someone who does'nt know to Google.

@S2Killinit ummm no?

Virtual Boy - 1995
iGlasses- 1995
Sega VR - 1991

Come on man, google it stuff...

Hype is meaningless in all forms until proven otherwise by the success or failure of it's product.

So virtual boy never existed? There was the iGlasses and the Sega VR as well.

Hype is hype, Kinect and Move had hype both customer and company related before their respected releases.

Awesome! Wait... I thought N4G was already the community for PS4 gamers?

I think the author needs to read up more on the definition of "monopoly."

That's because it hasn't. There haven't been any official sales numbers, and vgchartz... as reliable/unreliable as it may be still has it under 1 million.

I see what you did there, touché!

It's the art style of these games, look at ICO and Shadow of Colossus, same sort of style.

That's because this is the PS3 engine it's running on. It's not downgraded, it just looks like it wasn't rebuilt neccasrily for the PS4 from the ground up.

@SpaceRanger So let me get this straight the glaring difference is sales numbers has no reference to popularity... even today???

What I meant by the difference between Video Games and the entertainment industry is that, there a lot more Star Wars fans as whole, but it obviously doesn't always filter down into the video game section of entertainment. Meaning not every Star Wars fan will buy this game, but mostly likely every Halo fan will buy Halo 5.

@SpaceRanger
"Battlefront is miles ahead of popularity compared to Halo."
Halo with 10 release approx 60 million sold
BattleFront with 10 releases approx 13 million sold

And it's not like BattleFront has a ton a great press going for it at the current moment. There are a lot of people split on some of the exclusions from the game and making it mostly 1st person. Am I excited for this game, of course, but in terms of popularity I think y...

It means simply that Sony paid to have the marketing rights to Battlefront. Nothing more, nothing less. Sony knows this title, like Destiny, is going to help move a lot of consoles this Christmas so they made a deal with EA. EA knows this title is going to sell well regardless of which console manufacturer has marketing rights. Microsoft did the same thing for the Witcher and Hardline. Common business practice.

I believe they did say that if the top 10 software results were based on individual sku rather than title, then Bloodborne would have made it into the top 10.
