I gotta disagree. It's mostly the video compression that makes it look a little jaggy. As for the texture detail, I think it's phenomenal, very detailed from a distance and even more distinct close up.
This game can been unfairly compared to console graphical juggernauts. It's obvious that the tech here is built to last and the game looks to have some insane variety. It could well be one of the best this year.
How do you know? Have you played the entire single player campaign?
It's comments like these that irritate the hell out of me. 8 is a fine score. Again people complain that Eurogamer, Edge, IGN (although garbage), is biased.
It blows me away that people still think these websites are biased against Sony. EVERY TIME A GAME SCORES AN 8 OR 7. None of them are. They are opinionated yes, because people are entitled to those. A write-up, nor a score, can adequa...
This is why the map pack price complaints don't make sense. The people complaining don't play the game often enough. It's entirely dependent on how often you play the game and if you play it 170 hours annually, it's money well spent.
When you party up and play with friends, an hour long session turns into 4 or 5 easily.
The community is the reason the Call of Duty series is so largely frowned upon. It's natural to assume however, that when upwards of 500,000 people log in everyday that there are going to be a lot of bad eggs. This is the sacrifice that has to be made for a game this large. With popularity comes exploitation, whether it's in the form of a hacker, a camper or a child screaming into a mic, it's become synonymous with the series.
Personally, I play the game a lot and...
Great game marred by a few annoyances. Regardless of what others might think of Jim Sterling, I think he's right on the money here. Metro is a game purely driven by survival instinct and atmosphere. Aside from some dodgy AI and a few wacky bugs here and there, this was a great PC game.
Oh man, I will never get sick of game physics moving the ground beneath you. Makes you feel so godly.
Nice scores for Yakuza 5. Is the demo available on western PSN's? Really eager to see how it'll play.
I'm itching so bad to check out this Beta.
I've invested a lot of time playing Call of Duty and I can't see any real reason to use the Elite package, especially if you already have a capture card.
I honestly expected a possible MMO styled, map updated package, but this is a joke.
Is Elite actually shown? I'm wary because it's hiphopgamer.
Have a Brodacious Memorial Day everyone!
Oh the humourless members of N4G rear their ugly heads.
Well damn,
this is almost too much game for one man.
Truly epic.
This is why I refuse to buy from certain stores. Namely EB Games, Gamestop's Australian affiliate. Absolutely abhorrent prices on games. I've bought my games from Ozgameshop.com, an website that is Australia/New Zealand based and stocks games at a faction of the normal price (I bought Killzone 3 for $50 and Portal 2 for $56, brand new, free shipping).
I'm stunned at the recurring prices on games, especially in an improving economy.
Confirmed fake. He just made it to fit the "Forever Alone" meme.
How the hell was this deemed news?
This was 'Disaster Movie' funny, aka, not very funny at all.
Have fun making another stale cod-hatred comment. Seriously? Can we move on now?
Not mind-boggling on either platform, but good work on both sides. I thought Guerrilla was a hugely underrated game. Seriously, the fun factor in that game was nearly impossible to top at its best.
I'll be interested to see how this turns out. I'm not sure I like the fact that it reverted back to a linear progression, but I don't mind some good, clean, controlled chaos.
Let's be honest, if McShea gave this a 9 or 9.5, NO ONE would be arguing. He gave Uncharted 2 a 9.5, I doubt anyone has a problem with that. With scores like 8 and 7, the members here start to nitpick reviews looking for any conceivable way to deem it "unworthy" before they themselves have played the whole campaign.
I liked the demo. It feels like a re-skinned upgrade to the first game, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It looks good, runs smoother, plays...
