Enough with these comments. The people that buy these map packs play Call of Duty extensively. These packs can attribute days worth of playtime to the multiplayer game, sometimes double or triple the average single player game. For $15, that's a bargain for those that play Call of Duty.
If you don't like it, you don't have to play it.
It's as amazing as I had hoped. No holds-barred Duke.
Now please release this in Australia without the controversy.
I don't seen any reason not to pick Killer7 up. Bought it for $5 in '09 and it's incredibly strange and inventive. I'm a sucker for these kinds of games though.
Please post an article in which he states that Sony fanboys are the worst. Even that first comment is complete rubbish. Quantifies fanboyism? Do tell me how you or any other Journalist "tackles" fanboyism. They don't. Sterling offers a sharp, satirical point of view when it comes to defining console gamers and gamers in general.
You're reacting humourlessly to this article, as if it were up for the pulitzer price. Well it isn't.
Feel f...
I know many here dump on Jim Sterling because he supposedly gives "low" scores to Triple-A titles, but few journalists directly confront the fanboy head-on like he does. There are intelligent gamers out there, and there are also many, many more that are borderline retarded. As pointed out by the jaw-dropping facebook page.
I think a lot of it is attributed to the art direction and painted textures. Just in terms of colour they look a little more truer to life than Uncharted 2, which was heavy on the contrast.
I've been primarily a PS3 user, but when I bought a 360 I found out quickly that it wasn't exactly sacrilege. I picked up Lost Odyssey, Alan Wake and Fable 2. All good to great titles. I'd say if you even have a mild interest in investing in a 360, now wouldn't be a bad time to pick one up. I'll probably still play the majority of my games on PS3, but the 360 most definitely has enough to warrant that price tag.
The title is supposed to be sarcastic, so I hope people don't make it out to be as slam on the NGP. Really nice mod work. It's very reminiscent of other Nintendo products, which could have been difficult to nail, so I like that. The extent of my Gamecube play time was spent at a friends house, so I'd really like to pick up something like this for Eternal Darkness or Mario Sunshine.
Hell, if it went to retail I'd probably consider it.
This looks to be one of the few mature games to deliver on a love triangle. It has a very similar concept of symbolic enemies that Silent Hill once did.
It's too unique to pass up.
I seriously don't understand the Crysis 2 hatred. Beyond the graphics arguments and Homefront/Call of Duty multiplayer comparisons, this game has one of the best single player campaigns I've played in some time (if you don't count Portal 2). In a day and age where 5 hour campaigns are churned out like clockwork, along comes a game with nice visuals, superb pacing, jaw-dropping set-pieces, 10 hours of escalating action, and no one bats an eyelid at it. Very, very harsh in my opinio...
Willing to bet about 98% of members here clicked looking for cosplay/boob action.
Very cool article. It'll probably be buried under a whole bunch of redundant PSN articles, but I'm glad I read this one.
First paragraph reminded me of the movie The Fly. Some seriously gross teleportation right there, haha.
I find the first post hugely ironic given the grammatical errors in it.
On the other side of this coin, gamers are also hugely cynical, humorless and demanding to the point of irrationality.
Let it ride.
There is no cross-game voice chat being implemented, that was already refuted by Sony representatives if you read that article again after the update. Their focus is to create a secure PSN before anything else. Don't supply false hope. Read articles with care.
Not sure about this. If there is a firmware update with said components, then I'll probably forgive and forget. My question is, why would they wait until now to implement it? and will it only be available for PS+ subscribers?
They could just be feeding us a line at the moment to tide everyone over (not even sure why I used two beach puns). Very interested to see where this one goes, especially if they get it back on before the weekend.
I'm somewhat ashamed to admit that I am a Call of Duty addict. I'll pick up any of them at any time and play for hours on end. I like to think I have a diverse palette when it comes to gaming, I play just about any type of game. I know it's frowned upon by the majority of the community here and it's easy to see why, but when I'm partying up with friends and going to town in a game of domination, very few games are as fun at their peak as Call of Duty can be.
Valve didn't choose NOT to put it on 360, Microsoft weren't open to it. Rofl.
It may have something to do with multiplayer options. Simply because whenever they've released a Half-Life game, it's had a multiplayer component in Counter Strike or Team Fortress. Perhaps they're looking to combine them into one entity.
But yeah, the comment is pretty bemusing, could mean a lot of things.
Just a question about Portal 2 connecting to Steam; is it possible to do with PSN down? I haven't got the game yet and PSN should be back up by Wednesday, but I was wondering if that was still possible?
Haha, look at all the disagrees. Thanks for replying with a legitimate comeback. Such a pathetic community.
