The article speaks truth.

Granted, there are an obscene number of children playing Call of Duty. They've introduced this amazing function called 'mute player', meaning at any given time you can press this button and they'll involuntarily 'shut the hell up'.

Call of Duty is best enjoyed when you party up and chat to friends. Battlefield is great for meeting new players and team-building.

By God I'll be buying both g...

I use cross-game voice chat literally every time I fire up my 360. It's a superb, flexible feature. I use my PS3 for just about everything, it would probably be my console of choice overall, but there is no denying the greatness that is cross-game voice chat.

It's not about "txting" them while playing a game. It's about interacting with people like a regular phone conversation while playing seperate games, and there is no better way to party up afterward...

I own a PS3, a 360 and a gaming PC.

So yes, I shed my fanboy skin a long time ago.

@Slayer, have you actually played the game though? It's a fantastic RPG, very much fit for the PC arena. It's a mature game that juggles the concept of sex and violence within the genre very well.

Skyrim will well be a great game, but you shouldn't dismiss The Witcher 2 over trivial issues, because they don't impact on the game at large. It's still ambitious and interesting.

Always loved when this music game on before a multiplayer game. So very soothing. A fantastic map too, the differences are negligible. I guess I prefer the look of the day map simply because of the colour, but it doesn't bother me too much either way.

Agreed. This is what Rockstar and Valve do every time they release a new game or IP. They don't subject themselves to a community that rarely supplies them with constructive criticism. Of course, it's good to have feedback and a willing fan base, but it's more important to deliver a game that remains a singular vision.

So many damn puns, people need to chill.

There are two types of developers. The one that releases a cookie-cutter genre game that's popular during a specific era, and the one that pushes the industry forward with new concepts and redesigns.

Molyneux seems to be stuck in perpetual limbo with both categories.

I can admire the man for his ambition, but he regurgitates more rhetoric than John Carmack. He obviously needs a fresh canvas, especially after the decline of the Fable series.

Uncharted 3 as an all-round package is probably the peak for console performance. Whether it can match the PC heavyweights at the end of the year is up for debate. It's hard not to be impressed with everything on offer.

There is no need for fanboy backlash like "bias". IGN is a terrible source for news of all platforms.

In terms of sales, the Vita will outperform OnLive every day of the week. With that said, I think OnLive's ideas are before their time, much like the Dreamcast's online concept. The idea is very much a forward-thinking one, but whether or not consumers are ready for it is another question, especially with 3G prices.

I sincerely hope OnLive d...

As bad as the game is, this review doesn't really do itself any justice either. Terrible grammar, ridiculous use of metaphor, the damn thing wouldn't get a passing grade in elementary school.

Way to take a joke n4g. Really, good job.

Why is everyone talking about the game? Just listen to the music, it's mind blowing.

No question, I bought the Japanese import 'Red Seeds Profile' and it's honestly one of the few games I'm proud to say that I own. Supremely unique, poorly designed in a number of ways, but none-the-less an incredible amount of fun.

While this is partially true, I also think that they would have monumental difficulties bringing what is essentially id's first game to this console generation. Also keep in mind the fact that they built an all new engine for Rage and for future projects (Doom 4 obviously). No easy task. The development cycle for the game has been lengthy, so much so that when the game began production, it was well documented that the PS3 was difficult to utilize.

I think given the circum...

The title of this article, as per usual, is misleading. He doesn't ever state that he's "displeased" with one platform over another, nor is he displeased with the PS3.

Carmack is a realist. The entire id team demands perfection and functionality for every platform. Hence the reason Rage has been in development for such a long time.

Killzone 2, despite all the hype over the graphics, is actually just a really great game. Well paced, tense and exciting. Of course its covered in a nice skin, but I always thought the game was especially fun to play.

Killzone 3 however, is almost entirely regressive and lazy. The campaign was rubbish. The type of 5-hour campaign that they attempt to draw out by making it more difficult. It completely put me off the multiplayer, which is great fun, but followed a campaign tha...

Despite some obviously irritating game design, I still think Far Cry 2 was a great and memorable game. I'm very much looking forward to Far Cry 3. From what I've seen, it looks like Ubisoft Montreal will deliver a better game this time around.

Kamikaze135 is on the money, pick up the game for $10 with the DLC packs if you haven't already. Insane deal.

Where are these chumps that want the PS3 version to look AS good as the PC version? Please, speak up.

Also, how can they not be pleased with what has been shown thus far? The PS3 version looks great. If you have any remote sense of logic, you'll realise that it WILL NOT reproduce what the PC is capable of. Does that really need to be reiterated over and over?
