I was about to say, this is probably the most informative article they've posted in years.

This is game produced by a country that doesn't have the funding, nor the developmental talent to produce an AAA title. They need to be cut a break here. Yes, it's an Uncharted knock-off, but what else could they have done to grab the attention of the western world?

I probably won't play this game, but it's a massive step in the right direction for gaming in that region.

I'm prepared to take all the brunt from the sheep here, but the U...

Anyone used the Famas since the patch went up? I'll be interested to know how it feels since I can't play the game atm.

Bioshock is quintessential and arguably one of the greatest games to come out of this console generation. Whether you purchase it now or get it free with the PS3 version of Infinite, make sure you play it first.

It's inevitable that the two will be compared and Battlefield will frequently come out on top in the internet stakes.

Call of Duty is my console shooter of choice. I like the framerate, I like the response time and racking up the kills is a good time, regardless of what most might say.

Battlefield is good on console, but it's outstanding on PC. Having played Bad Company 2 on both PS3 and PC, I'd definitely stick with PC as a preference. 30fps does...

It's dependent entirely on how the game is played, both framerates suit their respective games well. Battlefield 3 will be a pleasure to play at 60fps on a PC though.

Dice aren't complaining bro, it's the graphically hungry pseudo-gamer that's complaining. By all accounts it looks outstanding on console, even better than expected.

Whenever I see this kind of comment, I lose a little faith in the gaming community.

These "fans" are posting on Johan Andersson's twitter and they've made some stupid accusations. These single console owners truly blow me away with their garbage sometimes and it isn't indicative of everyone, but at the same time they don't do PS3 owners any favours by opening their mouths. It's occurring less and less here, but it's prevalent on youtube and twitter.

I rarely use the Famas and never really found it to be in the upper echelon of weapons. The best thing that can be said about this update is that it'll make competitive play a little more interesting, considering it's the only weapon of choice.

People were always going to complain about it. Those that said "nerf the Famas" are now coming back to say "geez, only 8 months late". If you are so inclined to bitch about a weapon, use it yourself. It'...

L.A. Noire is a good game, but it's very far from being perfect.

It's essentially the bastard child of the film L.A. Confidential and the James Ellroy novel The Black Dahlia. Rockstar have always generously ripped from their favourite genres and brought them to the gaming arena, anyone with a modest understanding of film would be able to see that.

With that said, I do still think this is a step in the right direction for gaming. The adventure gaming a...

If you read the kid's twitter he's about as casual as they come. Turned on by bright lights and pretty pictures. He has little semblance of what makes a great game and what makes a great game work on console.

I'm still blown away by this. Usually my pre-order receipts are barely visible when I go to pick up the game. Kudos slash000, enjoy the swag.

Hahaha, Itagaki is truly nuts. I'll definitely be checking out Devil's Third. That last quote on Saints Row 3 had me rolling.

"There’s a guy in the elevator who’s smoking a cigarette. He’s walking with two girls, and he hands off his cigarette and kills the guy. Then he gets his cigarette back. I love that guy. I love the way he is. I think I’m gonna try to be like him someday."

Amazing.

They've done a logical job with the PS3 version, a smarter engine port than Crytek's game on console. It still looks phenomenally better than I expected and seems to run very well (based on those minutes of footage). It's not going to make me skip the PC version though, but it doesn't look like they've sacrificed too much to bring it to the masses.

Digital Foundry nailed the analysis before this, but dear god, if you MUST buy this game, buy it on PC. The default settings are Ultra (probably meaning Ultra goddamn ugly).

I've been playing it a little on PC. I'd say if it wasn't a full priced game I might enjoy it for nostalgic value. That is literally all the game has going for it. It's a testament to how progressive the FPS genre actually is. Duke would have been an insane game in '01-'02, but man, every aspect of it is a relic of the past. I still get a little enjoyment out of playing it, but damn, if it wasn't so downright hideously ugly, I might be able to cut it some slack. Se...

This is the problem with most user-review websites, especially the movie review website imdb. People will vote 10 or 1 to drag a games average user score up or down. 99% of the time, the game is neither of those scores.

Any relatively decent player of the Call of Duty games can beat a quickscoper in a one-on-one situation. I won't care too much if they leave it as it is. I never did it, nor was I much of a sniper myself, but it doesn't outweigh the aggravation caused by noob tubes, danger close, one man army etc.

Also, it's inherent to the game's engine. Before anyone jumps in and says "well why don't they update it?", take a look at the Source engine. Bunny-hop...

@nepdyse, I do generally get into games easily (Australian btw). The problem is, because it isn't region locked, I'll enter a heap of North American hosted games, but I can put up with it from time to time.

@vickers, haha, well said. The unlimited noob tubing makes for some ridiculous frame dropping as well. Hilariously over the top though.
